Do any Christians vote for their governing authorites?

here is the problem unless it was a necessary evil, because humans need governing and for law and order, this appointing or establishing by God must of been a temporary solution until some time in the future?.

Romans 13:1-2
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

Governing authorities initiate war protocols and millions of men women and children die, infrastructure is decimated live stocks are destroyed and mass displacement of human beings and a lot of suffering during and afterwards because of war and conflict. Governing authorities legislate equal marriage, all of this is anti-Christian so how can any Christian vote for their governing authorities?

It's not ideal by any stretch of the imagination, but a necessary evil?

Well, there are many bad governments... which is natural since human nature is evil
.... but
Humans have proven over and over again that if if there is no law and no one to enforce it, we turn into madmen attacking each other left and right.

If you can find it, look up the documentary about the kids that were left alone in a house (under monitoring)
... they had to cancel the experiment in fear of them hurting / killing each other.

so what do we have if we dismiss all the governments, kingdoms, fiefdoms, so called democracies and all the other factions and distractions?

a necessary evil?

I don't think so. without any type of authority, whether or not someone believes God allows it, there would be utter chaos...if you think there are wars now.....

the entire globe is like a gigantic chess game and only God has the best view

there are complicated reasons why wars are fought; bottom line is always about power and wealth

what we have here, is a fallen world doing its level human best to survive in spite of itself while busily thumbing its nose at God and pretending it is in charge of its own fate

the devil is the prince of the power of the air and many Christians have long ago abandoned their armor and looked the other way

bottom line is people think they are their own gods; the lie the serpent whispered in the garden still reverberates throughout the ears of human kind and the results of believing it, are all around us

No government,or kingdom, can operate unless God allows it.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Uh Oh,somebody's in trouble.

God said Babylon when they fell to the Medes and Persians, will never rise to physical dominion again,so this is Babylon in spirit, for they represent anything goes multi-culturism,and the kingdom of man,and religious diversity.

This Babylon in spirit, lived deliciously, and in pleasure, and glorified herself, and her sins have reached unto heaven, and that said she will sit a queen, and shall see no sorrow, and caused the world to follow her,and did trade with the world, which when she is punished the world will stand afar off,and say,how did she fall so quickly.

No nation,or kingdom, can rule, unless God allows it,and this is who God is allowing to have the world influence at this time.

This nation, also influenced other nations,of their original continent, when they founded that nation,to reconstruct a kingdom, bigger, and badder, than its ever been, that has the dominion from its start, the 4th beast of Daniel 7,until Jesus puts them down.

This kingdom shall mingle themselves with the seed of men.

But God has a dual purpose for this nation,to separate those who love God,from those who do not love God,for that is what the beast kingdom will do.

So they are not altogether bad,for while their nation causes the downfall of those who love fleshy pleasures,it also gets the Gospel out in the nation, and in the world, like nobody's business,to all those who love God.

I wonder who it could be.

Cain (not exactly a man who was the epitome of godliness) built the city of Enoch. I imagine he established a governing body in that city....... and probably a lot more that he and his decedents also built in later years.

I guess this is ok here on the BDF, because it will be seen by more people, but the gist of the OP is really political, that being man made governments........soooooooo. But, I guess it is ok here.

(edited)

I have to wonder if this is a back door approach to another Law thread based on Levitical/Mosaic Laws? Guess we will see.

Kings of the earth - a new government established by a new king:
Psalm 2 (KJV)

2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
1Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

So they are not altogether bad.
But should a Christian vote for them and take part in the governing authorities politics? it is necessary to have governing authorities in place and to maintain law and order i agree, but i do also agree that there are governing authorities who are more secular in their thinking, their morality switches to science and reason and freedom or free thinking rather than sound doctrine from the Bible. It's strange because these one's are made known as God's servants.
