I never thought I would be a Carney for 12 years. It has shown me the value of "throw-away" people.

I truly believed that I was 'saved' at a young age, but when my Father gave me the courage
to look back at the un-holy life I was living and gave me a way to admit and account that I was
just being a part of a crowd caught up in false evangelism, this became my true awakening to just
how much He loved me and the rest is history...

I know that is your humor.... But for those who might not be familiar with the term, "Carney", it means my wife and I left our good jobs, and went on the road with Carnivals and festivals for 12 years. (It's how we became rich. LOL)

The death of my Dad when I was eleven. It has taught me to rely on my heavenly Father all the more.

I never thought I'd marry and have kid's. Probably because for a while I dated men who had no interest in marriage. But here I am married 17 years with two kid's. I'm glad this is my life.

For the first fifty years of my life, I never thought I would be a Bible
believing born again Christian. My perception of almost everything has
changed as a result of finding out how wrong I was about God and Christianity.
In fact, it turned my world upside down and been the biggest change of my whole life.

I never thought I would do as many seriously bad things as I have done. It's taught me that I am more fortunate than most to have found Jesus.

precious one, when we are brought to the realization that this Holy Gift is truly 'genuine',
and has been given to us out of pure HOLY Love, through the most amazing gift imaginable,
we are with you in our awe, our world has been turned 'up-side-down'...and beyond...:):(

Getting rejected by the country that I love.
It's nearly turned my world upside down.

It's all good though, I still have faith in Christ that all is well.

Getting cancer,
Getting cancer again, then finding out I have many symptoms for a different type of cancer.
Getting pleurisy or pneumonia or my father trying to choke me, or having to get a job so young, have a couple friends die the way they did
Gosh I could go on lol

What are some things that have happened to you that you never thought would, and how did that change your perception about things?
-- be the child of a broken marriage.
-- Mom dying when I was 16.
-- raped.
-- go to college to become a high school English teacher, only to learn after my first semester senior year, I wasn't good enough to be certified.
-- get hooked on drugs.
-- have to go through rehab because just quitting drugs wasn't working for me.
-- that my college degree, which felt quite worthless when I received it, actually got my foot in the door for jobs.
-- love a guy so much I couldn't imagine living without him in my life.
-- get married.
-- get miraculously healed from a chronic UTI.
-- Hubby losing the ability to work from a broken back.
-- Have only one dime to our name and weeks before we'd be paid.
-- Celebrate Christmas under a blanket like a tent with hubby and our cat for warmth with our oven door open for any heat.
-- Figure out I'd never be a mother, and neither of us was upset about it. (He was willing for my sake. I wanted a child for him.)
-- Move into a large city.
-- Inherit enough for a down payment for a house.
-- Become disabled from being pulled off an operating table after having my gall bladder removed.
-- Survive to see the new century. (I remember being told I would in first grade, but no way would I ever be so old as 44. lol)
-- The country's largest skyscrapers being destroyed by jets intentionally crashing into them at roughly the same time yet another jet crashed into the Pentagon.
-- Both of us not being able to work.
-- Having chemotherapy cause hubby to become disabled.
-- That God would actually have us both disabled.
-- Going from middle class to flat broke. (We had six figures saved in our retirement account.)
-- Dad getting dementia.
-- That hubby would have cancer killed off in his body by freezing it. AND, it worked!
-- That he'd have a massive heart attack.
-- That Dad had to be legally committed at the same time as hubby being unconscious from that heart attack.

God shows us we have no control over anything, even on how our life goes, but...
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Rom. 8:28

Sexual abuse from my dad,
neglect,
dumpster diving,
starving,
forced on drugs,
I never thought Id become a Satanist even if only for a while,
multiple suicide attempts,
emergency surgery's,
Never thought that the people that love me let me down that in the end all I stood with for a while was God..
bullying,...
Death threats fro my father
...
Now how did all of that change my perspective..Even in the darkest days when I thought I couldnt make it God in the end put me out of it to where I am now. I used to be dumb believing all people are good but now I learned that not all people want you well even when theyre all nice to you. You cant count on people. And it showed me what I can be capable of when I get into a bad situation and how easy it is to get into Evil and how hard it is to get out. And in the end the good always wins
Psalm 116:3-8
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6 The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Wow! u guys iz bringing tears to the eyes of the wee elephant..........may God bless and keep each of you who have opened up your hearts here......I can not describe the sorrow I feel for your life experiences, nor have any magical word(s) to make all of them disappear. But, i take comfort in knowing that each of you have found THE GREAT PHYSICIAN! The One who can turn testimonies of such tragic events into the lives of His precious and beloved children into testimonies of HIS GLORY!
