What is silly is teaching that man was made for the Sabbath and this is exactly what you are teaching disciplemike.

But then again can we really expect someone to understand God when they have rejected the third person of the Godhood the Holy Spirit?

Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it;
that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Yes, but remember all those who reject the 3rd person, the Holy Spirit, will never be forgiven for this sin. Never.

But you have said you do not need the 3rd person of God. In fact you have stated you believe only in the Father and the Son and you believe the Father is also the Holy Spirit.

You are nothing more than a wolf in sheep clothing.

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.Exodus 23:12 (KJV)

Interesting word study here; take a look at the Hebrew for "may be refreshed"

H5314
naphash (naw-fash') v.
1. to breathe
2. passively, to be breathed upon, i.e. (figuratively) refreshed (as if by a current of air)

In America we often say "whew now I can breathe" or relax figuratively. So maybe this is what happened. Judging off of the first definition 1.-to breathe.

Is that keeping(guarding ) in respect to a ceremonial law as a shadow or a moral law like thous shalt not murder, thou shalt not steal... and therefore it is not something we could judge each other after?

Got this guy on Ignore, so have no idea what his OP says..........................

What is interesting about the Sabbath? Well, if we are speaking of the day believers set aside to gather together, and worship and praise God, and share the Gospel of Christ, and do all of this in Christian fellowship and love......that's pretty much what is interesting about the Sabbath.

On the other hand, if this is JUST ANOTHER "you better celebrate Saturday Sabbath, or your going to hell" thread......hmm.....never mind
Are you serious, man...?
If you have someone on ignore, why would you purposely go into a thread they started to announce that you have no idea what the op was because you can't read it, but then comment on their thread anyway...??

This is bad behavior and is way below whose child you are PR. I am just going to assume you were having a really bad morning because it seems so unlike what I have come to know of you through your posts.

I never denied the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).
I don't see the Holy Spirit as a third person.
Yeshua is my Savior.
You know...I don't see the Holy Spirit as a separate person from God either...God IS spirit and this IS His Spirit...I think of the Holy Spirit as just God...

Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

It appears there is something else that is the rest, and refreshing, yet they would not hear.
I agree there is something more being spoken of here by God than just a literal "Sabbath keeping." At the time of Isaiah, I'm pretty sure they went to synagogue/temple pretty faithfully and religiously.

The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity........God the Holy Spirit. It is very dangerous to deny this, for to do so denies Christ, which denies God the Father. Christ Himself DISTINGUISHED between God the Father and God the Holy
Spirit. Dear Sister, please do not be led down such a path.

I have him on Ignore because he is teaching false teachings here (as exampled by his denying the Holy Trinity), however, the subject matter of the OP is still interesting to me. I do not have to even know what someone is commenting to know my feelings about the subject matter being stated in the Title of the OP. As well, it is a Discussion Forum which anyone can participate in.

My first comment here was intended for those who would read the thread, and have comments of their own. Now, you may find that "bad behavior" on my part, but I am VERY AWARE of what this guy has been teaching here, and how unBiblical most of it is, and I have no problem posting Biblical truth on any thread he Authors/comments on.

I also commented to you concerning your disbelief in the Holy Trinity, and this may cause you to be disturbed by me. All I can say is, I have treated you with Christian love and respect, and will continue to do so, but I will ALSO continue to post Biblical truth, and correct any untruths I read, regardless of who posted said untruths. In his case, I have no respect whatsoever for him, or his comments, for he has proven himself to be a false teacher, intentionally trying to deceive/confuse true believers here on CC.

I will openly rebuke such a one without any reservations whatsoever.

Sorry if you find this to be "bad behavior." But I do not. I find it my duty as a believer in, and a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I'm still curious as to why you utilize power, running water, internet etc.. on the Sabbath. On one hand you seem to think people shouldn't be working on the Sabbath, yet on the other hand your own behavior requires people to be at work on the Sabbath. Modern conveniences aren't provided free of work; people are at work operating, monitoring and maintaining equipment so your life can be a little more convenient.

And it's not that these items are required for survival. You could store up water for the Sabbath (we're only talking a day here), power everything off, and stay off the internet, phone, etc... but you don't. Why is there an inconsistency between what you say and what you actually do? Are your rules only applicable to people who are not required to make your life a little more convenient?

It's easy to tell everyone on an internet forum how they should or shouldn't behave, but it seems the story is a little different when it comes to real life and yourself.

Mark 2:27
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

The problem is the Pharisees corrupted the Sabbath with man made Laws. Even today thee are those who are still corrupting the Sabbath with their man made rules.

If you disciplemike want to keep the Sabbath by rules you have made up you can. God will allow you to sin. He will not reward you for this behavior.

Nor will He reward you for rejecting The Holy Spirit. In fact this will keep you from entering into Paradise with Jesus.
