I know this is my first thread, but I came to this site to ask people's opinions.

God has called me to be a prophet, but I don't understand the point of it. What good is it to know what is going to happen? What good is it to tell people what's going to happen?

When I do tell people what is going to happen, they don't believe me and they come up with any explanation they can to say that what God has shown me will happen won't happen.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22 gives the test of a prophet: "[SUP]21 [/SUP]You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." I will pass that test when what God has shown me comes to pass. The only problem is that when what I say comes to pass, there will not be anyone alive or on this forum to verify it.

Even the most devout Christians on this forum will not be able to accept what I have to say. God is going to do a thing so great and terrible that you cannot even fathom it, let alone accept it. And again I ask, what good is it for me to tell anyone? I fear, and think I know deep down in my heart, that God has raised me up to be the unheard prophet: a raving madman preaching from the street corner about what He is going to do and that no one will listen or heed my warning. And then it will be too late.

There are no more prophets, sir.
Only witnesses who hold to the TESTIMONY of JESUS.
There is NOTHING that needs to be added to the STORY of our salvation in by and through THE SON..
And anyone who does...well that one is made manifest is a false witness...

GOD when HE who holds all things back, when HE is taken out of the way, those who did not grow up into their most HOLY FAITH, will be listening to every and other "voice/spirit" who will please their "itchy ears".

Especially in a time of trouble and turmoil like none other...

Then many will (who have not grown up into the HEAD and all knowledge of the SON of GOD) look to and listen to the false prophet who will promise soothing words that will appeal to worldly man who will be looking for any type of "healing" from the troubles which will come in that time...and then when the false christ comes, who will ooh and ahh many with false signs and wonders, those who did not know THE LORD, will look to this type of savior who will offer a different type of "salvation" which will only be temporal...

Why don't you try sharing your Prophecy........if God gave you a message for the Church today, sharing that message with the Church IS THE POINT of being a prophet.

(just saying........)

Are you implying that is what I'm here to do? Because it isn't.

I think you've shown yourself very presumptuous in knowing the full will of God or His intentions.

What God has shown me is in no way a message of healing or hope in worldly things, except in His return (which probably no one on this forum will be alive to witness.)

1) what a prophet says doesn't always 'come to pass' (remember Jona) a prophet's a man of God not a heathen soothsayer. 2) Don't forget everything you say (or any other christian for that matter) needs the test of scripture (1 Thes 5:21), you can't just claim your testimony's from God.

I'm heading to work now. I have a long day. When I get home, I'll tell you the prophecy in short, and if you're so inclined, I'll tell you to the full prophecy as it is revealed in the Word of the Living God.

I'm not better than any of you. I'm a man of no reputation. A loser in the measure of worldly things. I do not think what God has shown me makes me better than anyone on here, so please don't think I think I'm special because of this. Everyone has their calling in Christ and mine is not one to be envied.

If God has called you to be a prophet then do it don't talk about it. To say you "don't understand the point of it" makes me a little suspect of what you think your calling might be.

I understand that there have been prophets in modern times but I have never met one. If any one were to ask me what I thought about prophesy in these last days then I would attribute it to one of the gifts of the Spirit, with words of knowledge etc, which I have had an experience of.

But as you put it "rave" away please do. I am now eager to hear what you have. As you say there might be none on here that will accept your words, but then again Jesus might surprise us all and you too.
God bless.

Oh, Jonah's words did come to pass, sir.
It's just that not all who are led by GOD'S SPIRIT can see the HIDDEN THINGS of GOD that can only be known by HIS SPIRIT

Why did you think CHRIST said, The secrets of the kingdom are not given to all?

Yes you can claim your testimony of JESUS is from GOD...
For the truth is that many will profess to have god(s) but deny the SON...and those who do, then deny THE FATHER who sent HIM

And in a sense call GOD a liar...they don't believe EVEN GOD'S TESTIMONY which HE has given of HIS SON...the man who has received GOD'S TESTIMONY sets to his own (spirit) seal that GOD'S WORD is TRUTH because it is THAT WITNESS in us who testifies with our spirit to the TRUTH of THE WORD of GOD>

It is how we know the difference between the SPIRIT of GOD from the spirit of lies in the world...

God's warning to Nineveh was just that, a warning. But the people repented so the prophecy DIDN'T come to pass. A prophet isn't a soothsayer, in the sense that he literally predicts the future like the heathens tried to do, no, he's there to show the people the error of their ways, in God's name. Ultimately God's a merciful God.

Sir, I suggest you refer to THE WORD of GOD where CHRIST speaks about a wicked generation and about these very repentive men of Ninevah standing in the judgment...

If the STRONG MAN has come...if ONE GREATER than Jonah has come...why are men looking to "Prophets"?????

For more information??????

The WITNESSES will testify against them.

Milknik5 what is all this "sir" stuff? You have done it to me in the past and I have noticed you do it quite a bit. Did you realise it can be quite off putting? Or is that the point? either way it is abrupt. We are called to show love not mistrust. Has Voiceinthewind said anything yet that the Spirit does not agree with? Except for your saying that prophets do not exist, which is your own understanding.

Can we not at least give the man a fair hearing. When and if he says anything that does not sit well with the Spirit I am sure someone will put him right. I dont care either way I have been told to love everyone, including you brother.
