If it is God who provides the healing why do you fail?

Did Jesus ever fail?

The same reason the disciples are recorded to have failed unfortunately.

Really super important is it, is that why churches like Bethel in Redding California that preaches the kingdom of God is coming on earth, wants to make disciples of everyone, also has prayer/healing rooms?

Why does God need a special room with special vibes to do His work, hmm... I do not remember Jesus taking anyone to a special room?

If healing is so central to these beliefs of people like Bill Johnson, Todd White etc., etc., then why are there still hospitals full with ailing people?

Cee just come right out an say exactly what you believe around this kingdom of supernatural power coming to earth.
They have no answer for when people still get sick. Years ago we attended a church and after a Wednesday night service, the pastor asked us all to Pray for a fellow sister, she was going in for brain surgery. I had a sudden sense from the Holy Spirit, that she was not going to make it out of the surgery, that she would go into a coma and die. I began praying for her family all night and into the next day.

The woman went on to be with the Lord, the surgery was "routine" and without complications, she went into a coma after the surgery, and the whole church and the whole church was demanding and God to spare her/ They were convinced that God's will is not to take anyone or be in ill health. In fact, the Pastor pleaded with her not to have the surgery, because God has already healed her. She opted for the surgery.

When she died it shipwrecked her entire family and many n that church, the pastor even had the gall to tell her husband at the funeral and from the pulpit, if she had not had the surgery she would be alive, because God had already healed her.

Her husband very bravely & quietly replied....No Pastor your wrong, she had a small tumor in her spine that they did not know about, because they were so worried about the one in her Brain. The Dr's told us that is what caused her death and had she not had the surgery she would have died within days anyway. Oh and Pastor, I will remind you and all you idiots that you were only praying for her brain tumor and total restoration. My family was praying for total restoration, and he answered that prayer, just not the way we thought.

They left and never returned and to this day the church is still churning out false teachings...

I caught up with that man a few years later and he said that had his wife not died, it would have never brought his 2 daughters back to the Lord. He never said why, but the joy of the Lord was his strength, not confessing fer ah mightee blessin...

When my mom died from Cancer God used it to bring me to Him, but that doesn't mean it was His will.
Later, when I prayed for my step dad all night long on the hospital bed, but he still passed away it devastated me.
But I still prayed for other people and saw Cancer go later. And have seen other healings. My experiences do NOT invalidate the word nor the command of God to pray for the sick. Nor does they take away from the truth that the enemy is the one who steals, kills, and destroys. But I do believe God will use it all for good though.

Thank you for sharing this story, the church does have to be careful about healing and how it is preached.

It is so important to just pray and let God do the work and not demand, that is been my experience anyway.

One year when my son was very ill, I asked the Lord to just to show me a way to help my son get better because we know God completely knows how our bodies work and what can get them off track. We worked with the doctor but the Lord also led to me some information, what just seemed like a fluke at the time really, about a certain diet that helped alleviate the symptoms.

God does things in own way in His own time for His own purposes, and His will is perfect, this is where we place our trust.

Cee,
At the core we are brothers, and I see a good spirit in you! I have seen creative miracles, and miracle healing.

I came across harsh, because at first blush you seem to espouse some WOF tendency, but I see different now.

Starting over bro...cya around the foroums

Well at least we can agree God does heal. I see it a little differently than you do. I believe we are healed (in the spirit) since our spirit is joined with His, but we are receiving that reality here. And coming against (or binding) the enemy who is trying to get us to agree with his lies instead of God's truth. And when the Spirit of God manifests Himself through us, healing is a result, because His Kingdom contains healing, i.e. in Heaven none are sick since the enemy has no authority there.

So I'm not trying to convince Him to heal me, but I am praying for His Will to be done here. Either way though, at least we agree God heals. That's a win.

Death and sickness are the most difficult moments in life, no doubt.

God does heal, it is a blessing not a right, and when He does He magnifies Himself and it is for His Glory.

I have to say this. The worst thing is to doubt Heavenly Father's power to heal instantly. Secondly, the worst thing is to just focus on getting HIS healing but ignore walking a clean righteous life. What is the point of only praising HIM for instant healing or help but still live in sin or never gain any wisdom and knowledge of The Word? Thirdly, the worst thing is you may be healed or even healing others, casting out demons but.. are workers of iniquities. Mercy is given here on earth, but justice belongs to Heavenly Father too. At the end of our lives, there will be people going to heaven, or to hell. There will be a time when grace is no more given. So guys, do not be confused, love not the evil, scrutinize your hearts always, people whom are saved, can also be deceived or fall away. Only Jesus Christ cannot be fallen as HE has and will always be the one who saves. It is better to learn and be confirmed in the right ways while you still have HIS grace , than to be confused and never learn while under HIS grace on earth. While preaching, make sure it is words that make people focus in the things of Heavenly Father, not material weath. Whatever material given is to be for Heavenly purposes, not to be used to boost by showing off the blings blings or big houses and cars. The heart of a believer should always be kept pure and uncontaminated. Focus on the SPIRIT OF HEAVENLY FATHER just as how simple and humble the life of CHRIST is while he walk on earth. Whatever plan HE has for anyone, thank HIM for the atonement HE has given you for your weakness, and pray that you will be brought to repentance for wrongs you did (including sins you might not even know you did) . HE wants people be saved, but there will be tests for some and there will have people of different level of understanding, some are even vessels of the Devil at the moment just for testing the saints. Have patience, keep guard of your heart, pray for wisdom and knowledge of Heavenly Father, pray for others. It is not a wide road you are walking towards HIM, but a real narrow one. Be blessed!

I would add. We are instantly healed pertaining to the newly created heart and a new spirit that will never die. But its not the same for those bodies of death that will die and return to the dust as our new spirit returns to our Father in heaven, kept until the last day when it will be raised accompanied to our new incorruptible body.

God does not heal by human hands. the laying on of hands is a metaphor used in parable to give us the unseen spirutl understanding hid from those who know not Christ. He is not served by the hand of man as if He who has no needs, needed something from the clay he is forming Christ in .He heals indiscriminately just as he sends rain on the justified or those not justified .

We have the privilege of crying out for healing but our great physician's will is done in the end .

Interesting translation as to the use of the word "worshipped" in Acts 17 .Used one time through out the scripture. From where we get the world theopoetic or therapy.

Srongs lexicon 2323 therapeúō – properly, heal, reversing a physical condition to restore a person having an illness (disease, infirmity).

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Acts 17:24-25

I would suggest no sign gifts as Charismaticism. We walk by faith, the kingdom does not come by observation .

I think you meant, "therapeutic", rather than "theopoetic". I would imagine that God is quite capable of writing poetry though.

I would suggest no sign gifts as Charismaticism.
That's convoluted, and incorrect on at least three counts: first, people do get healed still today, and miracles still happen. Second, sign gifts are not about people seeking signs, but about the Holy Spirit doing things that are "visible". Third, conflating all miraculous activity with Charismaticism is erroneous, for it is not only those involved in that subculture who experience "visible" miraculous activity.

I was diagnosed with heart disease and told I needed bypass surgery 4.5 years ago. I started going to a charismatic/Kenneth E Hagin-like church a few months after my diagnosis. They believe strongly in laying hands on people and healing.

I went up for healing...believed that I received it...testified to being healed for years...got into leadership...and even left my job to be on staff. A few months ago I started having chest pains, after a series of doctor visits and another angiogram my heart has gotten worse.

I'm fighting to believe all that I've learned...but I'm definitely doubting divine healing...what I REALLY don't like...is it's causing me to doubt almost everything I hear or read. I find myself rolling my eyes at testimonies or people encouraging others with scripture or sayings. Any time I hear a charismatic preacher on tv or YouTube I question what they say. I feel like I'm losing my faith in God. He has to be real.

I really need someone who knows their charismatic apologetics. Please don't waste my time or yours if all you have to chime in with is a bible verse with a short saying attached to it like "John 10:10 the enemy is just trying to kill you"

I need something way solid and explained in detail. Please. Thank you so much!
There is a lot of false preachers not abiding in the truth, and I do not trust a lot of those television evangelists. especially since they believe God blesses them with an abundance of money, and material things, for their wants, but Paul said if they teach godliness is gain, money, and material, for their wants, withdraw yourselves from them, having food and clothing be content, for the love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and the needy, which love of people is the fulfilling of the law.

Also they make merchandise of the saints, and try to extract money from them that God did not require of them.

But healings are not always a guarantee, for lack of faith will hinder a person from a healing, and hypocrisy will hinder a person from a healing, and false beliefs that does not give glory to Jesus will hinder a healing.

Paul received a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, which God allowed it because of the abundance of revelations that God showed Paul so he would not get exalted above measure, and think he was something special, because God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble, and he wanted to use Paul.

So a healing might not occur, and while some people wonder why, not having a healing can actually cause a person to be closer to God, and depend on Him which is better for them spiritually, the eternal essence of a saint.

Yes more capable then myself. Without parables the poetic language of God He spoke not .Hiding the spiritiual understanding from natural man that walks by sight.

Experience is not the validator of the things seen .As it is write alone is

Yes. God heals indiscriminately as miracles still happening. People that require a sign before like a healing before they will beleive as confirming they are being filled but never full of the Holy Spirit. They do not accredit that when a person first believes they receive the Holy Spirit in full . No such thing as a remnant of the Holy Spirit like a gas tank that needs to be topped off .

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;! Corintians 1:21-23

The Jews(no faith) that refused to hear prophecy as God declaring His word treated God as a circus seal saying; show us a miracle do a trick and then we will beleive.

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Jesus said unto those who mock scripture by the oral tradition of men making the word of God without effect ..

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Signs are against those who make a mockery of scripture (prophecy)

1 Corinthians 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

No sign gifts .We walk by faith not by sight

So why, in the context of wonders, tongues, love, and faith, did Paul write, "eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy"?

This reply shows you do not understand what I am saying.

The Kingdom of God is spiritual. It only becomes "physical" when we obey Him.

WE are in the world, but not OF the world.

His Kingdom is not of this world. But are you in His Kingdom? Yes or no?

And finally once again, you ignore Scriptures by Paul that affirms he walks in the Kingdom of God now.
You are right about the Kingdom of GOD being spirtual in nature. All within the 'Body of Christ' are part of the Kingdom of GOD..

On the other hand, the Kingdom of Heaven was preached to the Jewish people. They, three times rejected it by killing John the Baptist, Jesus Christ and Stephen. Otherwise had they not rejected it, the Millennium would have already have occurred. It was postponed so far almost 2000 years. But Good Cheer, It will be here soon as the END times timer is winding down.

Hey! Ed... My heart goes out to you!
I have wondered before that if medicine prolongs my life past what the Lord has given to me, can I stumble and fall away by loosing faith when I would not have; if I had passed at the appointed time??!
We are required to keep the faith unto the end. I pray the Lord forgive any sins you may have and give you life. That the Lord give you favor with himself and make his word to be the power of his might to your heart and mind. The Spirit speak to you and magnify Jesus in the power of his love as he was lifted up to shed his blood for us all. Lord lead godly people to him and keep him close, sharing your heart in Jesus' name. The Lord desires us to grow so so much that often he becomes the God of the last minute to us all. God bless!

I am not a member of a charismatic denomination..

Do i believe we can be physically healed by God.. Yes. I have been a part in two healings from laying my hands on people..

Do i believe it is the will of God to heal all.. No

Healing does not happen depending upon the belief and confidance of the one seeking healing..

Healing epends on the will of the Healer,, God..

If God's will is for that person to leave this world and enter into eternity then that's what will happen no matter how many statements or affirmations that person will make regarding them being healed..

To question the existence of God or the will of God because Gods will is not to heal one is just wrong..

We should not believe God because He heals us or provides for us material things..

We should believe in God because His will is good and rightious..

Not all medications are good. The mentioned cure like wine etc in bible are made in the most organic natural way I believe. Indeed today, some medications and surgery are rather harmful to the body. However, when Heavenly Father heals us, HE can heal us completely and whole.

I also am not a member of a charismatic denomination..and would say God does not heal with human hands which represent a will. In that way God is not served by the flesh as if he needed something from the clay he is forming Christ in . God has no needs but satisfies all.

But was part of a function which at first seemed odd when the Elders placed their hands on a person in a hope God would heal Him . I was moved, I beleive to get the know the person who was suffering from Alzheimer's and caused many problem for his wife of 60 years and daughter putting a good burden the Elders. He was moved to a place for help and I visited him for a while trying to share the word of God if he was able to focus or just talk weekly . He died , but much healing on the part of his family as well as the extended family of God did result, I beleive .It was a great privilege.
