Matthew 4:21-22 look it up.. its more powerful when you open your own bible and see it for yourself

Its scary.. i mean it freaks me out. Can you believe that? what goes through your head when you read that. I mean what he's saying in that passage is that some of us will think that we're goign to heaven but he'll reject us, he'll refuse to even know us.

We'll say but i was there with you when you performed miracules and when you ate and drank.

i was there when you taught to the the people. But he'll say you disgust me i never even knew you and he'll send us away.. How many of us honestly think we're going to heaven because God Might Not Be.

If you call yourself a christian is that really enough? . Yeah you go to church yeah your a "christian" yeah you were their when your youth group went downtown to feed the homeless... yeah you were... whatever you were there i get it.. but what are you doing because Faith without works is dead.

Im not trying to be a judge but its scary its just crazy i mean really really think about what that passage is saying.. dont try to disect it piece by piece till there's no real meaning. What goes through your head when you read that?

I understand your fear, but this is a good fear. Jesus wants you to understand that you cannot get to heaven on just works. He wants you to know him, to know his great love.
It is not just this or that, but works done in his name with the love that is yours in Jesus.
Get to know God Our Father, through Jesus, and his Holy Spirit will guide you.
As you begin to know his love in faith, and work in this love and faith, you will see how great Jesus is.
And your fears will only be that , that is the good fear of God.
Talk to Jesus in prayer, you will be amazed by his wonderful love.
I have never stopped being amazed in all my years, I know you will come to know this as well.
Smiles, hugs and God bless, pickles

I think those people who did the Christian act built there house on the sinking sand instead of on the rock. (Jesus or Word of God)
Matthew 7

21 ¶Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

What He is saying is that there are some Christians that do lots of stuff for God like read their Bibles, evangelize, prophesy, and even do miracles but don't actually have a relationship with Him where they have let Him into their life as an intimate Friend.
In other words He is saying "Be gone from me, I never knew you, because you never let Me into your life, I tried to get closer to you your whole life, but you rejected Me, holding on to the comforts that you ran to when you felt distressed instead of running to Me. I have always wanted to go into your heart and show you that My Ways are so much better and fulfilling than the things you ran to. I tried to warn you many times through my Word the dangers of only knowing about Me, and not actually knowing My heart and Me as a Person, but you didn't listen!" Revelation 2 is a place that also illustrates what He is saying, but this time directly to the church of Ephesus.

Obviously God knows everything about us, but it is possible to block God out of our life when we find it inconvenient, or when it isn't the most comfortable thing to allow Him into the deepest places of our hearts. I have had to be intentional about finding places where my impulse is to withdraw from God and run to the comforts and coping mechanisms I am used to and comfortable with(ie: TV, video games, movies, iced cream, etc), instead of running to God. I am not always successful at this but, as far as I am concerned, I do not want these things to hinder me from not letting God come into my heart even more and prevent a deeper fellowship with Him.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Yeah it's saying a few things. The two main points I think are
a) lawless christians won't be getting to heaven. What is lawlessness? It is breaking of the commandments, disobedience to Christ's words/commands. To make a poor analogy, that is like living in free democratic America and being a Nazi, and Nazi's should be thrown out.

b) People without a relationship with Christ won't be going to heaven. While this obviously excludes the mere sunday church goers, the religious, the converts in name but not in heart, this is a tricky one as most people in the a) category would also pray and think they have a relationship with Christ. A woman living with their live-in boyfriend would fit into this category. But see 1 John about the connections between knowing God, loving God, and keeping His commandments. b) implies a), and vice versa.

The bottom line is, if you're living in a right relationship with Christ, you won't have a problem. A right relationship with Christ means avoiding lawlessness. To have a relationship with Christ is to love Him, and to love Him is to keep His commandments.

The key point is, when Jesus said "I never knew you", it means they never knew Him, and He never recognised them as His own.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth(2 Timothy 3:4-5).

Some people have a form of living for God but deny the Spirit to lead them and are ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth which it to love righteousness.

thinks? How about who KNOWS they're going to heaven? and yes this CAN be known. We live in a postmodern era where there are no absolute truths.

The key is the statement "I never knew you." When Jesus was describing His sheep, He laid out 2 characteristics that are essential. One is that His sheep hear His voice, and the other is that He knows them.

Jesus knows what is in the heart of every person living, or ever to live. So this is not the "know" He is talking about.

When we seek Jesus in truth, when we are determined to find Him, we lay aside all other things, and seek Him alone. And if we seek, we will find Him, and when we find Him, He will know us.

What many have been given as the gospel is that if you proclaim Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that He has been raised from the dead, then you will be saved. But I am afraid that many who follow this formula will be disappointed, when they see Him with their eyes.

The gospel is not a formula. It is the truth, which we receive, from the Spirit of God, about the redemption we have in Christ, that brings us into relationship with the Father through Jesus. What happens is that some take the formula and use it to keep a distance from God, because they do not want to die. When we come to the Father through Jesus, we die. Holding oneself at a distance from God because of the fear of death is exactly the same sin that the children of Israel committed when God brought them up from slavery into the wilderness, and tried to make them His people. They said, "don't let God speak to us, lest we die." God did not know them.

Like the ones saying God doesn't talk to people. Theres no such thing as tongues. The devil does miracles thats the truth. There mean hateful people but they have all the bible memorized to tell others. The bible talks very clear about helping the weak and the poor but there to selfish to pay their tithes. They lie and say the bible doesn't say to pay tithes. Calling God a lier isn't a good way of trying to walk the path to heaven.
