Luke 3:21-22
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, [SUP]22 [/SUP]and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

We have the Holy Spirit descending, we have the Father talking, and we have Jesus being Baptized.

Three persons one God. We have the Holy Spirit a separate Person, we have Jesus a separate person, and we have the Father a separate person, but yet only one God.

The Lord who is Jesus Christ IS one! The Lord our God IS Jesus Christ who is one part of the Trinity. And yes jaybird88 i did say Trinity.Trinity,Trinity.Trinity,Trinity.Trinity,Trinity.Trinity,Trinity.Trinity!

These are verses using the KJV that cannot be refuted

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

God Bless,

some manuscripts don't agree with that translation of 1 John 5.7

Yes. Just as an egg has an eggshell, an egg white, and an egg yolk, yet are one egg, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all deity.

Let us read this verse:.Isaiah 9 verse 6: "For unto us a CHILD IS BORN, unto us A SON IS GIVEN, and the government shall be upon hiz shoulders, and HIS NAME shall be called; Wonderful, Councellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, and The PRINCE OF PEACE". Amen

Question: Does this verse allude to a 3 person Trinity or a One God/ One Lord Unity.

All 3 offices/ or revealations are ONE AND THE SAME GOD. Both in Spirit and in Flesh...One SPIRIT...God is a Spirit ( John 4 verse 24) There is only ONE SPIRIT. The "Father" is the One eternal Spirit. THE HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT is ONE not two persons
So The Father and Holy Ghost/ Spirit are ONE not One of two Persons. The SON is in actuality, The Eternal Spirit/ Creator God who was seen in a Fleshly body and shed his buman blood for all our sins while the Eternal Spirit was in existance every place in his Universe, he alone created. Jesus said in John 10 verse 30: I, and my FATHER, ( MY SPIRIT) ARE ONE"...Father is The eternal spirit...The son is The Father robed in a human Body, so he could be seen, then shed his blood on Calvary. Being a Pure Spirit, The Father could not Die, or shed any blood, (read all of Hebrews Chapter 9) so he created the " Sonship role" to fulfill the Prophecy you read in Isaiah 9 verse 6.

The testator of The New Covenant had to be pure, sinless, and Holy..only.God himself meets those qualifications, and that is exactly why he created himself a human body called Jesus, to fulfill the prophecy in Isaiah 9 verse 6.

The titles of "Father" and "Son" confuses people into thinking There are "Two distinct persons"....Jesus himself told us in John 10 verse 30: "I AND MY FATHER, ARE ONE"

When Apostle Pbilip asked Jesus: "Lord, SHOW US The FATHER and it sufficeth us".
Jesus then said to Phillip: "HE THAT HAS SEEN ME...HAS SEEN THE FATHER...."
(John 14 verses 7-9 KJV).

Another verse that proves The "Father" and "The Son" are ONE, And the same is Where Jesus told bis Apostles He would return unto them WITHIN THEM. in The Book of John also. Ask yourselves how could THE SON, BE INSIDE THEM IF HE WAS ONLY HUMAN, AND NOT THE FATHER, THE SPIRIT, ALSO??!!.

No, what you have here is The Eternal Spirit/ One God sending his invisible Spirit in the form of a Dove, to represent his Spirit, landing on the "Son" (The Flesh) while Only The Father speaks "This is my beloved SON ( My beloved self in a fleshly.body).In whom.i am well pleased"

We can prove from the Bible that:

1. Father is God
2. Son is God
3. The Holy Spirit is God

4. They are all distinct persons

5. And still there is only one God.

The term used for all these is called "Triunity" or sometimes "Trinity [of persons]".

Verses are too many to post, but you can see some quick list for example there:

Quick ref - Triunity verses

I am not the comfortable with calling them persons.. although it's probably just semantics.

What I have trouble with there..is the trinity is one being.. not 3 beings. When we die we go to meet God.. one being.

So unless those 3 persons are NOT separate then I can't agree with 'persons'

Guess it is just semantics anyway because I believe:

Jesus is God
The Father is God
The Holy Spirit is God

They are all eternal,co-existing, as the one being, God.

I just don't think you can seperate them.

56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” (Acts 7:56)
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (Rom 8:34)
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, (Heb 10:12)

The above verses clearly depict Jesus Christ as a separate entity (person) from God (the Father) in Heaven.
Trying to interpret these verses in any other way violates the plain meaning of words and language.
However, in many ways, difficult for us to understand in scope is the fact that each person of the Trinity are in fact united in nature and purpose.
There are three persons of the Godhead, yet they are one God.

[for me anyway] I will not think nor speak above that which is written:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 28:19)

That is all I need to know, for me anyway.

I would agree. Its one of those things a person works to try and reconcile all the days of their lives in a hope of hearing him clearer and clearer and as he increases we must decrease .

It would seem he uses the word three in parables to indicate the end of a matter as to whatever is in view.

We ultimately walk by faith and not by sight. God has no form as a beginning .

The word persons (plural) would seem to reflect beings (plural) Beings reflect spirits(plural) .I think one spirit per person.

God remains one person.

Christ, the anointing Holy Spirit of God declared he and the father are one. I would think one person .This would be like saying; The father and I are the same person in respect to the one Spirit. He is described as one Spirit not many or even two. Just as his faith by which he works in us. He is of one faith. And by that work of His faith he form heaven baptizing us with his one Spirit . In that way he is not known as persons . but person . I think of them as attributes seeing God is not a man as us. He has a different standard used to try and reconcile the mystery.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

In the verse below it would speak to all who have the one Spirit and would include the Son of man who came to demonstrate the work .

Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

When we think of God who is supernatural (no beginning) he resist worshiping Him in respect to any outward image. (the cause of the fall)

When he said only God is good he was directing them away for m walking by sight or walking by experience. Walking by experience is the opposite of walking by faith and is why he said only God who has no form is good

He remains without mother or father beginning of day or end of Spirit life.

It’s the image of his person. Image has to do with character and invisible immutable attributes. God has no flesh as a rudiment of this world . We do not know Christ, the anointing Holy Spirit of God after the rudiments of this world.

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

When we read "Standing on the Right Hand of God" it does not mean "2 Persons" it is defining the Power..Example..."Jesus, stands at The Right.hand of God"...meaning...Jesus is standing on The Right hand of God's Power..The Spirit of God delegates all the power he has

If we read Revelation.20 verse 10. We see where There is a Great White Throne (Singular).and he that sits on it..
There is not a total of 3 thrones with two.others sittimg on individual thrones..
