Looks like your argument is with God, not me.[

I'm actually agreeing with God and what He has said in the New Covenant and about Christ - you keep forgetting about Christ which is why "law-keeper" for living and for righteousness is an anti-Christ belief system.

Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Philippians 3:9 - and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

Mike. Thank you for your comments and feed back. I have a question for you though. Where does Christ fit into your theology? There is no works or task that I can do that will get me to heaven because if there was we wouldn't have needed Jesus and his sacrifice for us. Through Him we can be righteous because of his death and resurrection for us! Do you agree?

Not for those God call, justify and glorify. Glorification brings this righteousness.....
1 Joh 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Actually to be justified means you have been made righteous.

GOD had to send his SON JESUS to stand in our place and die for our sins! HE then rose again after defeating hell so HE could stand before GOD and intervene for us! So we are only made righteous through HIM! So just like salvation we can not do anything to obtain it. We can't do anything to obtain righteousness. We get to wear Jesus'!
I agree

Paul said he wanted to be found hidden in HIM not professing his own righteousness

Ezekiel 33:18-19 (KJV, MBM)

Faith in respect to who does the work called the righteousness of faith (God’s) Faith is the key that unlocks the mysteries of God. No mixing faith (Christ's) in what we do hear then no righteousness, no understanding.

I would have to ask....... if “who” turns the wickedness seeing no man will be found with a righteousness of their own?

If God according to Ezekiel does not first turn us at the hearing of faith so that then after we are turned we then can repent who could ? Self-righteous as in turn you own self as a persons own wonderful work?

But we will be found with the righteousness of Christ who paid the eternal wage of our sin according to his work of faith as a three day labor of love.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mat 7:23

Notice, Christ did not say he did not perform wonderworks.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine “own righteousness”, which is of the law, but that which is through the “faith of Christ”, the righteousness which is of God “by faith”:

The one righteousness of faith, the work of God working in us to both will and do his good pleasure called grace. The imputed righteousness

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are “justified by the law”; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for “the hope of righteousness” by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Gal 5:4

I do not know if Mike will agree with me, but this is how Jesus fits into the picture of SALVATION and RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Jesus says no one comes to the Father but by HIM. And no one comes to Him if the Father does not DRAW him. And if we know this it is quite obvious how we will get to be IN GOD and HIS righteousness.

Father calls us (the DRAW) Jesus LEADS us (through HIM) if we follow we will get there, if we do not follow we will not get there. But even the FOLLOW is obedience to the faith. To follow Jesus we have to TAKE up our CROSS and FOLLOW. Jesus leads us out of sin (Crucifying the old man) Repent..... And when we do, we lay down all sin until Jesus lead us all the way to the NARROW gate. We are now clean and can enter. NO SIN CAN ENTER. Jesus is the Gate! If we go through the gate we are holy and we can be with Father on the other side of the Gate. Now Jesus fills us with HIS Spirit and we (actually Jesus) lives a holy righteous life here on earth. Jesus is born again in our vessels (fleshly bodies).

I can give Scripture for EVERY statement I made. This is how a person becomes one who got EVERLASTING LIFE (a holy life) from Jesus.
