I agree with all the comments on this thread and let us not have dead faith as in the book of James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Or when Paul talks about faith without love in I Corinthians 13:2 And though I have
the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. How can a person be right with God put your faith in Lord Jesus Christ build your relationship with Him and trust His ways not your own ways nor anyone else's. Love Him freely and truthfully a genuine love for Christ and not as religious burden as the Pharisees put on people being totally heartless themselves vain in worship not knowing love because they don't know God. Why would you not want to give that love back to God or anyone else? I know I love Him because He loved me first I John 4:19. Truly open your heart to Jesus love Him first staying true to your true first love and try not depart from Him like church of Ephesus in Revelations Chapter 2. When you sin come to Jesus in prayer and repent with a honest heart putting your faith in Him trusting the one you love. Oh how great the two greatest commandments are! Matthew 22 37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [SUP]
38 [/SUP]This is the first and great commandment. [SUP]
39 [/SUP]And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [SUP]
40 [/SUP]On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Oh how great the love Jesus Christ has for us. Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Jesus perfectly honored the Father in that commandment and all the rest from birth all the way to His death on the cross doing the Fathers will perfectly John 6:38-39 because Jesus is perfect and without any sin and not a unruly child like Deuteronomy 21:18-21. Jesus said in John 15 12:13
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Lord Jesus laid his life down and died on the cross can anyone not see how much LOVE is there? The two greatest commandments Jesus spoke in Matthew 22 are in the Law Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18 for indeed these are the two greatest. If you know not love you know not God. I John 4:8. God is pleased in a servant when that servant loves him and if you love him you will be faithful to the Lord. Love the Lord you trust and trust the Lord you love and his name is above all names Jesus Christ. I agree with what Depleted said in post #4
1 Cor. 13:13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
