Heaven is beyond any words we have to describe it. It's beauty is beyond our imagination. There will be no Sun, there will be no need for it because the source of the greatest light will come from God.

The Bible doesn't tell us too much about Heaven but it would appear to suggest there will be work to do and food to eat but there will be no marriage - there will be no need of it. Best of all we will be praising The Lord!

1COR. 2:9.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

I don't know for certain but I would imagine that as well as the commonly thought kingdom with mansions castles royal feast ect. we each might have a heaven specifically for our tastes.

For instance in a dream I went to a place that didn't like it was heaven itself but it appeared to be a heavenly place that custom to me specially I was in a giant lake of living water and the water was so bright and seemed to glow it was fully of life and felt so cool and was so soothing to my body and soul both I was playing in it in what appeared as a four year old me with my best friend the holy spirit though I could see any physical form of him I knew he was there the lake was surrounded by beautiful nature far more healthy and far more vivid and beautiful than anything you will ever see on earth( I truly adore nature and it's beauty.) the grass was far more healthy and a much more deeper green and it felt like silk on my feet the flowers gave off such an amazing aroma and we so beautiful more so than anything on this planet the trees were also far more elegant and the fruits and vegetables that grew there make your mouth water and trust me if you ever ate one from there you would never crave food here again the fireflies and birds were so pretty and sweet I mean that place was heaven for me but alas I was not there for long when the dream ended

but I will say this I have longed to back there and ever since I saw and felt and was in that living water the water here in this world seems dead to me. I can describe so much of what I have seen in that place and maybe that was just my own personal heaven maybe it wasn't heaven at all

Blain, I believe you did experience Heaven, because your description of it, is very similar to what my sister experienced when a good friend died, and she was allowed a glimpse into the most wonderous place ever imaginable, the colors were so vivid, like nothing on this earth, sounds like Heaven to me!!
I know this much, I sure do not want to miss it!!

I heard one time that if our thoughts on heaven only revolved around what it is going to be like. ( and it is going to be beyond our comprehension for sure ) - then we do not have the revelation of Jesus our Lord yet.

Heaven is Christ Himself. Heaven is a manifestation of His love and life being expressed in and through all of us and all that is created there.

We certainly do have much to look forward to. We will be experiencing our loving Father's grace there too and it will be throughout eternity.

Ephesians 2:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesu

At times actually when thinking of Him and practicing His presence I see and feel a glimpse of heaven. Enough so it overwhelms my senses and springs up like a well inside! I've learned that what the Bible says; out of our bellies shall flow rivers of living water! That is the Holy Spirit. This flowing is only an iddy biddy..., tiny teeny glimpse but very familiar so I know it's more of this to come.

He gives wings as eagles, to run and not be weary or faint., and that is only perceiving small glimpses humanly speaking. What can we imagine without this dusty body???

My human body has so many limitations., it makes mistakes, is weak and causes me some major hold backs. But there will be no hold backs in heaven.

This body will be shed like a shell no more to cloud or veil my ability to see Him and do things for Him like now. I can only imagine what it will be like to always be free to see Him without faith. That when He comes, we will see Him as He is with no more blurry glasses from a dim human flesh perspective.

In these bodies we experience such pesky human things like boredom. To think we will never ever be bored again. Boredom is human and so annoying.., Annoyance., sadness., irritability, no more of those human traits! pain and sickness because our bodies are weak and fleeting as we also experience old age.
God is always perpetually young as He never ages. Time is not a factor for God like it is with us. God doesn't have a white beard to reflect His age! LOL. He never diminishes nor changes. "There is no shadow of turning with Thee"

All our common negative weak perceptions from living as humans are not attached to God. There will be great jobs for us to do in the universe. We will not be playing harps on clouds or singing all the time. We will have actual things to do that have no attachments of failure or disappointments. We will be ALIVE like never ever experienced before. Jesus is the giver of LIFE and abundance of that. We will be equipped to do so many things and be so many things. The possibilities are endless.

A New Heaven and a New Earth
1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,a for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man,
and He will live with them.
They will be His people,
and God Himself will be with them as their God.b
4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,c
and there will be no more death
or mourning or crying or pain,
for the former things have passed away.”
5And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.” 6And He told me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life. 7The one who is victorious will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

8But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”

The New Jerusalem
9Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11shining with the glory of God. Its radiance was like a most precious jewel, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12The city had a great and high wall with twelve gates inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, and twelve angels at the gates. 13There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west. 14The wall of the city had twelve foundations bearing the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15The angel who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod to measure the city and its gates and its walls. 16The city lies foursquare, with its width the same as its length. And he measured the city with the rod, and all its dimensions were equal—twelve thousand stadiad in length and width and height. 17And he measured its wall to be one hundred forty-four cubits,e by the human measure the angel was using.
18The wall was made of jasper, and the city itself of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone: The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, with each gate consisting of a single pearl. The main street of the city was pure gold, as pure as transparent glass.
22But I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23And the city has no need for sun or moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory.f 25Its gates will never be shut at the end of the day, because there will be no night there.
26And into the city will be brought the glory and honor of the nations. 27But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices an abomination or a lie, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

For me though heaven is not a place of beauty and peace rest and freedom it is not of honor and glory or a crown upon my head nor a title to boast of what I have done for God it is not all the things that one might envision for me. I would be more than happy to live in a cardboard box in his kingdom so long as he and I are together his arms is my home my heaven and is the only place my heart has it's eyes set on

I think it will be a place of no hate, no anger, no depression, no stress,
no fear, no strife, perfect love, perfect peace, complete acceptance.

A place of discovery, of worship, of wonder, of realisation and understanding of
what God has done for us.

I had a brief taste of this as a child during an encounter with God and if heaven is anything like
that, it will be beyond anything we can ever imagine or dream of.
