All who are of the belief of Jesus Christ are called to be full of good works,
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8 [NIV])
so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, (Colossians 1:10 [NIV])
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10 [NIV])
Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. (2 Timothy 2:21 [NIV])
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Just as God causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain to the righteous and unrighteous, so in likewise manner are all who are children of God are called to freely do good on all,
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matthew 5:44 [NIV])
To be full of good works is to do good wherever an opportunity to do good presents itself,
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them. (James 4:17 [NIV])
Such as in the example of the good Samaritan,
But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.' "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." (Luke 10:33-37 [NIV])
And as such, being full of good works, all who are of the belief of the Lord are called to give to the poor,
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Matthew 19:21 [NIV])
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Luke 18:22 [NIV])
Giving to the poor is well pleasing to God, so much so, that even Cornelius, who regularly gave to the poor, did not have knowledge of the holy spirit, but because of his prayers and gifts to the poor, an angel appeared to him giving him instructions of where to go, which led to him receiving the holy spirit,
He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!" Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. (Acts 10:2-4 [NIV])
So although it is through mere belief in Jesus Christ that salvation comes, one is then called to be full of good works as a result of that belief,
Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works. (James 2:26 [NLT])

James 2:19
[SUP]9 [/SUP]You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

Actually Salvation is not received by mere belief in Jesus Christ, because even the Demons believe.

Ephesians 2:8,9
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; [SUP]9 [/SUP]not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Its by the Grace of God we are saved. Its by God's Grace and Faith from God that we receive our Salvation. Its by nothing we have done or can do to receive our Salvation.

Technically you don't believe in something that you've seen. The fallen angels have seen God as surely as I have seen Montana.

True. But mere belief is still not how we receive Salvation. Read Ephesians 2:8-9.

Even in the verse you quoted you can see that it is said "through belief" that one is saved. You cannot come to believe in the Lord had God not first bestowed grace upon you, which then caused you to believe in him. So it is by his grace that you are saved, through belief, just as Ephesians 2:8 states. God is the one who draws who he saves to himself, so therefore, if he drew you, it is because he has shown grace upon you,

"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. (John 6:44 [NIV])
And thus, whoever he showed grace to, also believes, and he who believes, also does good. Demons are not given grace, and neither do they do good, so whatever belief they have, is dead, just as him who has belief and no good works.

I beleive in giving to the needy. But you must show wisdom when doing this. For example do you and over money like more then say 3.00?

A lot of these beggers Smoke, Drink, pop drugs.
Why would i want to be a partaker in this evil when a bag of Groceries, Water, Clothes, Diapers, etc is much better for them.

We are not to judge who we give to, for if God judged in that same measure, then surely no one would deserve to receive any good from him. So yes, even knowing full well that beggars might do, drink or smoke, we still ought to freely give, just as God freely gives. However, surely it is more beneficial to give a beggar food, than it is money.

But the devils would not believe in Jesus Christ the same as the saints would, for their belief is different from that of a saint, for the devils do not believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior, for the devils know they cannot reverse the rebellion that they did,but are hit, that is why they tremble at that one God,and the devils said in the Gospel to Jesus, will you torment us before the time appointed, and when the devil is cast to earth, because the rebellion of mankind warrants it,he is mad because he knows his time is short,so he possesses the man of sin,and deceives people to rebel against God,which God is allowing him to do so,and when they take the mark, salvation is no longer available, and God can put the world down, and put an end to this rebellion nonsense.

The devils were kicked out of heaven,so they know God is the greater being, for they could not overthrow Him,and could not prosper, and cannot be redeemed for they are spirit, and once their spirit got tainted with sin, they had no way to put off that sin,for they tainted their whole being, where a saint is in the flesh, and in the flesh dwells no good thing, and all sin resides in the flesh,so they can put off the flesh, and their soul be preserved.

The devils would not believe in Jesus the same as the saints would believe in Jesus, for they believe and tremble for they know Jesus is greater than them, and they are hit in the future, and the saints believe Jesus is their Savior, and they are not hit in the future,so that does not apply that the devils believe in Jesus Christ,so faith in Jesus Christ is not all it takes, for it is a different kind of belief.

But that being said, faith in Jesus Christ is not enough, for the Bible says a person is justified by works, and not faith alone, and if a person is saved, and starts in the goodness of God,but later on does not continue in the goodness of God,they will be cut off, which Jesus said, any person that puts their hand to the plow, looking back,is not fit for the kingdom of God,which comes in to play, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, which means we have a choice to make sure we want to represent goodness, and abstain from sin,for God will not twist our arm to do right.

Paul said if he did not keep under his body, and bring it in to subjection, that he would be a castaway, which he was saying that after he was saved, that he still had a choice whether to allow the Spirit to lead him,or not,and if he decided to enjoy sin he would be rejected.

Which after we are saved, and led by the Spirit,we still have a choice whether to allow the Spirit to lead us,or not,and that is where the work out your own salvation comes in,because some people falter, and do not continue in what they started, which there is no difference between the Old and New covenant, for God gives the covenant, and then it is your responsibility to obey it.

Do not believe that Jesus does it all,so it takes away responsibility on your part, because it is because of that attitude that there are many hypocrites, for they think they cannot fall,so hey,I will sin,for I am still right with God,and the flesh takes liberty with that attitude.

The Bible says there is one God,and one mediator between God and men,the man Christ Jesus,so it is true Jesus did it all, fulfilled the law,for only a sinless man can reconcile us to God,but after we confess Christ, and His work, then the responsibility falls on us to obey the New Testament covenant, the same as the responsibility fell on them to obey the Old Testament covenant, for we have a choice after we are saved, whether we want to comply,or not,in our walk with God,by the commandment, love is the fulfilling of the law,the spiritual laws,in a spiritual covenant, but some falter at that by neglecting the poor, and not wanting to obey the moral laws, laws of love, later on in their walk with God,and many have that confessed Christ, did not even get off on the right foot from the get go.

Also Paul said, for I keep under my body, and keep it under subjection, saying that it was his responsibility to make sure he wanted to do right, for he did not say the Spirit will keep me under my body, but he said,I keep myself under my body, and bring it in to subjection, why, because the Spirit will not help us to abstain from sin, unless we make the choice to want to represent goodness, and righteousness, and give up sin, because we are the deciding factor whether the Spirit leads us or not, which some wanted the Spirit to lead them at the first, but later on wanted to enjoy sin,and Paul is saying he has to have the attitude to want to keep wanting to do right, for if he went back to enjoying sin,he would be a castaway.

But of course we can repent of our sins at any time and be forgiven, but we cannot have any sin that is not given up when we perish from this earth.

After we are truly saved, and led by the Spirit, doing right,we still have a choice in the matter of how we conduct ourselves, for God will not force us to do right, and will not force us to be led of the Spirit, for if that were the case, then nobody would sin after they have truly been saved,so if we have the capacity to sin after we are saved,it is obvious that we still have a choice, whether to continue in what we started or go back to do our own thing, that is why the Bible says work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for we have to decide to do what is right, and represent goodness, before the Spirit will lead us,and we falter every time we decide to do our own thing, and some people do not make it back, and then it is too late to do anything about it if they perish from the earth in that condition.

Sorry, I don't agree. We're talking about people standing on the side of the Road with cardboard signs. I have given many of them Ice cold water, or Carbonated Drinks, Fresh Food, even a couple of dollars. A lot of them sleep in a homeless shelter every night. I've invited lots to church but expect money as the service ends. Have you ever read this in the KJV??!! Psalm 37 verse 25:" I have been young, and now am old: I have NOT SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORESAKEN, NOR HIS SEED BEGGING BREAD".

So this verse tells us if You are RIGHTEOUS and Serving God, and not being like a fugitive and Vagabond like Cain was in Genesis4 v 12, you don't need to stand on the offramp of the interstate begging. Most especialy if you, ve been invited to church and give yourself a chance to be saved, and God provides.

God has put it in their hearts to be what they are, in order to test everyone else, if they will give. Giving to the poor has nothing to do with giving to those who you perceive "deserve" to be helped, it has to do with freely giving to the needy without prejudice, just as God freely gives to both the good and also the evil. Did not even Jesus Christ give healing to ten lepers, and only one came back to give thanks to God, and he was a Samaritan?

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well." (Luke 17:15-19 [NIV])
So therefore, give freely as you have freely received,

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. (Matthew 10:8 [NIV])
It is not your concern what a beggar does after he has received, as he too will be judged by his own actions. However, it is certainly your concern to give, as God gives.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " (Acts 20:35 [NIV])
