I am wondering if the Bible discusses how one becomes "born again"? I would consider myself to have been born again a few years ago, but it wasn't some big moment or massive realization or anything like that. I feel like when I read about or meet other Christians who say they are born again, there was some major change in their life or something like that. For me however it was really just more of a gradual change until one day I thought about it while also looking at who I was before, and considered myself born again. Does the Bible talk about there having to be that big epiphany moment? Or can you be born again gradually? Thanks for any and all insight :)

Maybe it's more life shattering to some because it didn't happen gradually to them. I went over 42 years not believing God existed and not bothering myself at all about it or Him. Then one day I suddenly saw that He was true, that He existed. That was earth shattering enough, but THEN I discovered that not only did He exist, but He could be KNOWN by me and wanted to communicate with me. When I heard His voice the first time, it was more earth shattering than anything on earth.

But if you are sure you have His Spirit and you know He communes with you and you KNOW His voice, it doesn't matter what anyone elses experience was or has been. :) It's very personal, between you and Him.

According to the Word of God being born again is being born of the Spirit, which is the Holy Spirit of Truth, but the scripture concludes that to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost we must repent: likewise the scripture tells us that to be born again is not of any corrupt nature, but born again of incorruptible seed by the Word of God.
Altogether therefore we will have denied our own will, and submit to and rely upon the Word of God, which is the will of God; and we will have repented and owned our sins, which by the way is a continual duty for the rest of our life.
The difference from our old person and the new, is that we will no longer seek our own will, but the will of God by the Word of God, especially the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ, who warns us who call Him Lord saying "Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" If Christ is truly our Lord we will be making the sincere effort to do the things which He says: for if it be so that we are truly born again in Christ, we will have received the Spirit, which teaches us all things, and brings to our remembrance all things whatsoever Christ has said to us, and shall always glorify Christ. Can these be gradual? it seems that they shall come according to the measure of our faith, because faith comes only by hearing the Word of God; so the more abundantly we hear God's Word the more faith we have; but if we hear little of God*'s Word, then our faith shall be little, weak: it is according as every person purposes it in their heart: if we sow sparingly then we shall reap sparingly; but if we sow bountifully then we shall reap bountifully.

My understanding of 'being born again' takes a different view to that of the traditional Christian.
Scripture says the physical is first, then the spiritual 1Cor 15, i believe that is to help us base the spiritual on the physical example.
Human re-production has to do with 'conception/begetting, gestation/9 months, and birth. I see this as a perfect example of how we are first begotten Jas 1v18 with a small deposit of God's Holy Spirit as in a sperm Eph 1v13,14 which starts the process of the creation of the 'new man...and needs time to grow !
No one can be begotten/conceived AND born at the same time ...that is a false understanding of a normal process not even God would interfere with. For even Jesus was born as a man and did not become the 'Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by (until) the resurrection from the dead Rom 1v4.
While in this flesh body we are only begotten and placed into the Kgd of Christ Col 2, who cleanses, purifies and perfects us in readiness for the Kgd of God, when He delivers us into it - that is when we are truly born again perfect and in a new body, much like a human Baby born into this world. It is a journey that takes time !
I don't mean to offend anyone but needs to be discussed.
