Yes since that is what should be discussed "in these rooms" to begin with

unless of course we see no problem in "progressing beyond the doctrine of CHRIST"

John 15 also will explain further what you are having difficulty in understanding.

There is a reason we are to REMAIN in HIM and not go out from HIM

Now, are all men in HIM?

No they aren't.

Therefore what can they do if it is done apart from HIM?

Nothing.

Therefore there is ONE DOCTRINE we are concerned with if we are seeking HIS WORK, HIS KINGDOM, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS...

And that was to point ALL men to THE DOOR...

But those who add to the foundation who go out from the DOCTRINE of CHRIST, who progress above HIM who is THE HEAD have forgotten the very first TRUTH of how they were even IN HIM to begin with.

Keep that ever before you.

If what you began in remains in you, you too will remain in BOTH the FATHER and the SON and this is what HE promised us...

Even ETERNAL LIFE.

so that proclaiming the gospel of Christ come in the flesh, crucified for our justification, raised for our sanctification, gone to prepare a place for us and returning to make us one with Him forever is "meat" -- not "milk"

there is no other doctrine, and nothing to be added that is not the extrapolation of this truth. He is our all in all, become for us wisdom and law and and righteousness and faith, all things, the beginning and the end, the initiation and the completion

from first ----------> to last

For the "righteous" shall live by faith

Now who among us who is the wisest will be professing their own righteousness?

Another thread dedicated solely to continuing a discussion, debate, or outright fight on another thread(s).

I do not read all the threads. From the OP on through to the last post, I really do not know what you are talking about, Miknik!

Please try and discuss the Bible, not doctrine.

And when you post a chapter of the Bible (which is great!) make it readable. I have not found a Bible site yet that I can just post straight onto CC. You need to create chapters, but above all, enlarge the size.

I do agree that if we follow Jesus then we are his forever. And if we don't, then were we ever?

"Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." 1 John 2:4-6

"
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us." 1 John 2:19

Great chapter, for sure!

I don't often see things you say, Mike. But, in this, your basic premise is solid.

We have a wealth of people who grab some Scripture, and post it, claiming "There it is! Now you have been told, so understand as I do."

Yet, they seldom seem to be able to cleanly and logically explain what they feel they are so sure they see from any given passage.

It is often like the spoof about some Bible Studies:

"Brother Jones, please read verse #1."
Brother Jones reads it.

"Brother Smith, what does that mean?"
Brother Smith: "Just what it says!"

The whole class: "Amen!"

"Brother Brown, will you now read verse #2?"

I'm sorry you do not approve of my methods of pointing to the WORD OF GOD. But the TRUTH is if all know HIM you would have to assume they know THE WORD of GOD

If not they can be like a Betwan and seek the scripture themselves
And should

1 John 2.

As opposed to 2 John 1

The difference between those who REMAIN IN CHRIST from those who go out and progress above THE HEAD, who is CHRIST

1 John 2
2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers

[SUP]3 [/SUP]We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[SUP][a][/SUP] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: [SUP]6 [/SUP]Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[SUP][b][/SUP] is still in the darkness. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Anyone who loves their brother and sister[SUP][c][/SUP] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. [SUP]11 [/SUP]But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.
Reasons for Writing

[SUP]12 [/SUP]I am writing to you, dear children,
because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]I am writing to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]I write to you, dear children,
because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

On Not Loving the World

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[SUP][d][/SUP] is not in them. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. [SUP]17 [/SUP]The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
Warnings Against Denying the Son

[SUP]18 [/SUP]Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. [SUP]19 [/SUP]They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.[SUP][e][/SUP] [SUP]21 [/SUP]I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. [SUP]22 [/SUP]Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. [SUP]23 [/SUP]No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. [SUP]25 [/SUP]And this is what he promised us—eternal life.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. [SUP]27 [/SUP]As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
God’s Children and Sin

[SUP]28 [/SUP]And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

[SUP]29 [/SUP]If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
............................................................................................................................

2 John
[SUP]1 [/SUP]The elder,
To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth— [SUP]2 [/SUP]because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. [SUP]6 [/SUP]And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Watch out that you do not lose what we[SUP][a][/SUP] have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. [SUP]10 [/SUP]If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]The children of your sister, who is chosen by God, send their greetings.

There the two are now posted for those who would like to read what you are talking about.

What is almost laughable here is that somethings like this are used to try and "prove" one thing, while ignoring other things that may be pointed out in the very Scripture a person put on a banner, and started waving.

One case in point is that the identity of "Antichrist" is clearly outlined in those verses............ Yet these same people are either trying to identify "Antichrist" as a certain preacher or world leader... or they are still looking for this "person" to arise in a New World Order.

Since sir THIS ANOINTING IS INDEED REAL

Just makes it easier to have it in plain sight most people on the internet/computer are to lazy to get a bible and read it so it just makes it convenient if it is in front of their face.....Trying to be helpful here not hurtful. You know like love one another.....

I forgot to add I'm one of the lazy ones....lol

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I believe the initial post to start the conversation was very closely tied to Matthew 10:24 which says basically that the student is not above his teacher nor the teacher above his master. This I believe is saying that our persecution by man may be equal to that of Christ (if we are perfect), but never greater than.

What did you begin in and how did you begin in this?
This is why this place is a battle zone. Some have forgotten where they began and many have never begun.

That is why every thread comes down to a fight over salvation and eternal security.

We begin with Faith. We live by Faith. We leave this world by Faith.

That which we began by Faith we will end by Faith and by nothing else!
