"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:13)

"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." (Romans 8:24-25)

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven." (2 Corinthians 4:18-5:2)

Life is eternal. It would appear we will find ourselves in another place after we finish this life.

But let me add something. (And I always get yelled at for saying this.) Heaven is not a place and we don't have to wait to go there. Heaven is what our lives turn in to when we repent of our sin.

It will be here, but all will be renewed. In Hebrew there is no word for new only re-new...

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahchanan, saw the holy city, YHWH Shammah, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

Revelation 21:3-4, "And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father. And YHWH will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Also in my sig.

and The Scripture 1998 got it right in their translation:

Rev 21:1 And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.
Rev 21:2 And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Ylohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Ylohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Ylohim Himself shall be with them and be their Ylohim.
Rev 21:4 “And Ylohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.”

I do believe in a literal heaven, but I do agree with the point you are making. The thing that makes heaven so wonderful is being continuously in the presence of God and being in constant communion with him. To an extent, we can experience that in this life. Of course, in this life, we have to deal with temptation from the devil, our own human frailty and weaknesses, and an incomplete understanding of spiritual things. However, I agree with you. We don't need to wait till the next life to experience a measure of that fellowship with Christ and that sense of peace and joy.

I am not sure if the scriptures mean there will be an actual New Earth made.. Or that this earth will be renewed.. I tend to think it is talking about the World being renewed.. Because other scripture reveals that the Meek shall inherit the earth.. So i believe the Meek will inherit the earth upon the resurrection but God will renew the earth and make it good again..

Jesus said that the kingdom of God comes without observation, for they will not say here it is,or there it is,for the kingdom of God is within you, which when a person receives the Spirit, then they will display the kingdom of God's ways on earth.

So the saints have no physical dominion on earth, and are not supposed to establish one by physical force, but there is a spiritual kingdom that the saints will go to after the millennial reign on this earth.

Jesus said He goes away to prepare a place for the saints, that where He is at the saints may be there also, and that is the spiritual kingdom, made up of jewels, streets of gold, things not of the organic kind.

God said He is going to make a new heaven, and a new earth, and the old earth, and the old heaven, will not be remembered, and will not come to their mind, which when they get to that spiritual kingdom, they will remember nothing from the past, and will feel like they have already been there, and nowhere else, which God does not want the saints to know about their loved ones, and people that cared about that did not make it,and the old earth is associated with sin,so God does not want them to know anything of the past when they are at that spiritual kingdom.

All sin must be purged with fire, which the saints receive the Holy Spirit, and with fire.

The old earth, and old heaven, has been tainted with sin,so they must pass away by fire, which death, and hell, which is in the lower parts of the earth,is associated with this earth, and death and hell are cast in to the lake of fire,so the earth will be cast in to the lake of fire, and the heavens, the elements, shall melt with fervent heat, because the old earth, because of people, and the old earth has been tainted with sin,by Lucifer's rebellion,so they have to pass away by fire.

The New Jerusalem will be a place where sin has never been, and sin will never be,and rebellion will not rear its ugly head again, and the saints will not remember anything of the past, because it is associated with sin,and rebellion.

Hebrews 1:10-12 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Revelation 21:

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

...

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The kingdoms discussed in Daniel 2:37-40 all ruled over people here on Earth.
And so will God’s Kingdom! Yes, the Kingdom of God will be a literal government,
just as the Roman Empire was ruling over people. That Kingdom will be set up
when Jesus Christ returns at the last trump (Revelation 11:15).

The fact that Christ has not yet returned to this Earth to set up that Kingdom
should clarify exactly what the Kingdom of God is not. It is not just in your heart.

And it is not the Church. God’s Kingdom is going to break in pieces—literally smash
—the kingdoms of this world. Plainly, that has not happened yet.

God’s Kingdom will be a world-ruling government. Who will be in that Kingdom?
And why? Again, just what is the Kingdom of God?

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done [in earth], as it is in heaven.
this current age satan is god of, it is not done as in heaven on earth yet.

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things?
Shall the earth
be made to bring forth in one day?
or shall
a nation beborn at once?

for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

truth!

Malakyah 3:16, "Then those who reverenced YHWH spoke often one to another, and YHWH paid attention and heard them; and a Book of Remembrance was written in His presence of those who gave reverence to YHWH, and who thought upon His Name."

There will be a kingdom that will last 1000 years between the return of Jesus and the coming of the New Jerusalem.. Where the saints will rule the earth with Jesus.. But this phaze of the Kingdom will end when the final satanic rebellion is destroyed and the final judgement happens and the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven and God dwells with us for eternity on the New Earth..

Daniel 7:18

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom,
and possess the kingdom forever, even for ever and ever.

He that overcometh shall inherit[allthings];
and I
will be his God, and he shall be my son.

what would [all things] here include?

Heaven is a place where the Kingdom of God is located. The third heaven to be exact. Even Christ said himself he will go prepare a "Place" for you. As well as saying his fathers house has many rooms. I respect your opinion but idk where you got "Heaven is not a place" when the scriptures says otherwise

John 14:3

And if I go and prepare a place for you,

-why do people leave out the rest of the verse here?

I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.

It says when he comes again, when he comes again to earth.

Thanks for mentioning it, that also validates (1 Thessalonians 4:17) After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (where I am, there ye may be also)

When Christ returns he will take his people with him to Heaven. I don't know what point you were trying to make, scripture explains itself..

if you mean being changed, and we rise up to the air around and right above us,
in the first heaven then yes, but if you mean the third heaven, that would be incorrect.

Christ will return to this planet earth , he said he would again, and there he is there
we will be also. what is reserved for us, Christ is bringing it here with him to earth.

my point is the bible does not say [we inherit heaven], but the earth.

do you need scripture with that?, or can you search the phrase "inherit the earth"
or the phrase "inherit the kingdom of God" in any bible app.

or can you give me a bible verse that says we inherit heaven?

You are misinterpreting scripture lol.
1 Corinthians 6:10
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to nor perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God
(Romans 8:16-17). As children of God, we then have the right to inherit from our Father.

(Matthew 25:34).
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world'

The righteous will inherit Gods Kingdom which is in Heaven. If you also think heaven is not a place like the previous person I have spoken to you are misinformed as well.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
