We are all sinners, it is up to the Most High to make that judgement, not any man.

Are they repentant of their sin? Do they consider homosexuality something that isn't sinful?

Yes, but at some point that person will have to repent of the sin of homosexuality. To say "no" would mean a person would have to be perfect to be a true Christian. I'm not perfect yet and I suspect the majority of people reading this aren't perfect, yet, either.

But what if the person never chose to be Gay in the first place? What if because of something in his life that cause him to be Gay, can he still be a Christian or is he doomed for life to spend eternity in Hell because he cannot change who he is?

It does matter. At least it does matter to a friend of mine.

---spend eternity in Hell---
This is not a pass for disobedience, but there is no eternal punishment:

Psalm 92:7 When the wrong spring up like grass, And all the workers of wickedness blossom, It is for them to be destroyed forever.

Mal 4:1 “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch.

Romans 4:15
because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Law is not in us."

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Leviticus 20:13
"'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

There is something that happens in everyone's lives. This is no excuse to continue in sin. Lets say a murderer or a rapist had something happen in their lives to make them turn to murder and rape. Are they ok to continue to do it even though it has something to do with a bad situation in their lives?

God has already judged homosexuality to be wrong and the Bible says anyone who practices it will not go to heaven. So we are not making a judgment, God has. We are to tell people the truth of the Gospel.

Agreed. All we have to do as Christians is show them the truth (Word of God) and if the Holy Spirit is speaking to them then hopefully they will be listening. What some Christians do is make it personal and that is where people think we are being hateful and non caring.

This post makes no sense at all..

People make choices in life. You (general you) can choose to go gay, just as you can choose to NOT go gay.. If a life event make your friend turn gay, then that is unfortunate and he needs professional help from a counselor. He wasn't BORN gay, because God doesn't make sinful babies. We are born into sin, but we not born gay or drunk or serial killers. If your friend is an active gay person, he needs to repent and ask God's forgiveness. Only then can he truly be a christian. jmo

Being Gay or Lesbian is a CHOICE..........Prison populations prove this.

He can certainly stop being Gay, the reasons he won't are simple....

He likes being Gay

-OR-

He is so deceived he cannot see a way out.

Many times people are same sex sexually abused at younger ages, and later in life they stay homosexual, but that is not because they were born "gay" and cannot change, it is because of psychological trauma's and they cannot relate to the other sex.

We have ministered Love, Jesus and healing to many Gay men and Lesbian women, that were so deceived by the enemy they ended up believing the lie they were born that way, or they could never be set free.

SIN is CHOICE and not something you are powerless over....

A church gossip stays that way because they chose to, not because they are helpless over lying about things which cause strife and divisions.

No he was not born Gay. He became Gay because of Sexual abuse done on him by an adult male. He is not active as far as i can see.

There is no Professional counseling that i know of that can change a person from Gay to straight.
