Why did Paul go to preach to the Gentiles?
In his missionary journeys Paul would seek out the Jews in the region, usually in the various synagogues and reason with the Jews that Jesus is their Messiah. When the Jews would reject Jesus Christ, Paul would turn to the Gentiles in that region.

When the Lord appeared to Paul, the Lord instructed him to go to the Gentiles and designated Paul the apostle to the Gentile world.

Did Paul purposely go to the Gentiles before he received revelation from THE LORD that he should go to the Gentiles?

further, when do you think Paul received the revelation that not all who say they are of Israel are of Israel?

Did Paul wvwrbtaje it upon himself to "run ahead" of THE GOSPEL?

Who knows? We only have what is written. We just don't have all the prayers he prayed and the answers he got in his spirit.

We are only told what we need to know - that he went to the Gentiles because God wanted to bring them into a relationship with Him.

The Lord said in (Mark 16:15) - He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation". As well as (Matthew 28:19) - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations. God desires to have a relationship with every person. Which is the primary reason why the father sent his son to be the savior mankind & restore the relationship as it was before the fall. God desires for no one to perish.

And what would bring them into a relationship with HIM?

Why did Paul go to preach to the Gentiles?
It was already planned by God where his word would be preached. Saint Paul didn't have any choice but to go where God the Father forced his body to go.

Galations 3
8: And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you shall all the nations be blessed."

All God's created men made both male and female will be blessed with the gospel, also known as the Word of God.

Titus 2:11
11: For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all men,

I Timothy 4:10
10: For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

Isaiah 25
6: On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wine on the lees well refined.
7: And he will destroy on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.
8: He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken.
9: It will be said on that day, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."

Romans 14: 9-12
9: For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
10: Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God;
11: for it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God."
12: So each of us shall give account of himself to God.

Psalms 22
27: All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.

Habakkuk 3:
12: Thou didst bestride the earth in fury, thou didst trample the nations in anger.
13: Thou went forth for the salvation of thy people, for the salvation of thy anointed. Thou didst crush the head of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah

Simple, G-d never excluded gentiles from the Him. Look at the Law, most famous Ruth, Rahab, and the Ninevites. G-d has forever called all of mankind. In Torah, Non-Jews… And if a man from another country is living with you, and has a desire to keep the Passover to the YHVH, let all the males of his family undergo circumcision, and then let him come near and keep it; for he will then be as one of your people; but no one without circumcision may keep it. (Exodus, 12:48), And if a man from another country is living in your land with you, do not make life hard for him; Let him be to you as one of your countrymen and have love for him as for yourself; for you were living in a strange land, in the land of Egypt: I am the YHVH your G-d. (Leviticus, 19:33-34)….

Will all hear and believe? And will all have salvation?

Such great questions! I was in a class about will all Jews go to heaven simply because we are Jews. They showed a video of devout orthodox religious Jewish men in prayer, and I sobbed (latterly) because I know if they did not accept Y-shua as Messiah they will die in their sins. All that hear and believe will have Salvation, but sadly not all will hear will believe.

Yes. All God's created beings will hear his voice in Paradise when they awaken in their new bodies. We will never need a saint or prophet to teach us the things that our Creator revealed through their testimonies.

Jeremiah 31
33: But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34: And no longer shall each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, `Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

Only during this first age will a few CHOSEN ones listen to the voice of God and obey his commandments ( the gospel ) that is preached to them directly into their minds via the voice or through the gospel that a few CHOSEN saints preach to them.

In the next age, ALL God's people will know his voice as their teacher and they won't need any saint or prophet to teach them.

Not everyone will believe the Truth during this first age but everyone will know His voice in Paradise, the New Heaven and Earth.
Then why is there a hell?
