Walls around a fortress help keep the enemies from getting in and protect the town/city inside.
Today the enemy has leeway to go to and fro.
Does anyone care to share a spiritual truth today?I'm hungry.

I have a spiritual question.
When the people are fleeing to the caves in the mountains and rocks, saying "fall on us,and hide us from the face of him,and from the wrath of the Lamb."

Are they fleeing to the high places,Idol worship?

Spiritual matters on this will be appreciated.

That's an interesting connection, though I don't see anything in Scripture to suggest this. The passage (Revelation 6:12-17) seems to describe people who are hiding in abject terror, not turning to pagan rituals for comfort or defense. :)

I totally get it, great reference combining the New to the Old….
Numbers 33:52
then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places;
Deuteronomy 12:2
"You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.
Ezekiel 20:28-29
"When I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every leafy tree, and they offered there their sacrifices and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There also they made their soothing aroma and there they poured out their drink offerings. "Then I said to them, 'What is the high place to which you go?' So its name is called Bamah to this day."'
Jeremiah 17:3
O mountain of Mine in the countryside, I will give over your wealth and all your treasures for booty, Your high places for sin throughout your borders.
Jeremiah 32:35
"They built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

There are many places in my life that I do have fortified walls around, but to my same there are still some areas even after 25+ years I run to the high places. Paul said to set aside those sins that so easily best us. The irony of that Scripture is those are the things that are still my high places. When I am in the Word they somehow just fall away on their own. He really does put a hedge of protection around me. One would think I would never stop reading the Word. But I think that is the greatest high place of all, getting complacent, and going periods of time without personal time with Dad.no, I may not be sacrificing children to Molech , but G-d still does not let me get away with my sin and drives me right back to Him. Walls to be effective must be maintained at all times. There is no wall greater than the infallible, inerrant, living Word of G-d.

Thanks for posting the scriptures. These are the things that I'm talking about. Most of the spiritual stuff often gets tossed aside.
Combining scriptures from the OT and NT is them testifying to the truth.
You gotta dig to make a well.
