Baseline will: (after being saved)

- Joining a biblical church God would call His own (not a building-- a saved, baptised, New Testament congregation)
- Reading the Word regularly
- Praying constantly
- Having fellowship with your church family
- Sharing your testimony with others
- Helping those in need

All this empowered by Jesus.

Practice in these things.. empowered by Jesus.. and God's specific personal direction to you will become apparent.

Why then would this be written by St. Paul?

Acts 17
24: The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man,
25: nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything.
26: And he made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation,
27: that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us,
28: for ..In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your poets have said, ..For we are indeed his offspring.'

Isn't God's will everything man experiences?

Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Deuteronomy 32

39: "`See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

I don't see the connection there.
God's will for His people (and angels) is to do what He says.

People want to be in the Kingdom, but don't want the King telling them what to do.

in my humble opinion.

Is your opinion a spiritual truth?

from Genesis to Revelation,
you will find that problems arise when people don't do what God told them to do.
I don't need to read from Genesis to Revelation to understand the problems that arise in God's people who aren't led by the spirit. I witness that daily.

God's will is that none should perish, no not one.

The entire bible story is how God sought to bring that will about due to His great love.
To bring human beings back into that close unspoilt relation with Him so that
we can glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Everything else is the ways and means of accomplishing that as we are changed and
refined as the dross falls away. :)

Psalm 145:1-21 NKJV
[1] I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
[2] Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
[3] Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
[4] One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.

[5] I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.
[6] Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.
[7] They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
[8] The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.

[9] The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
[10] All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.
[11] They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,
[12] To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

[13] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
[14] The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.
[15] The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.
[16] You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

[17] The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.
[18] The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
[19] He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
[20] The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.
[21] My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name
Forever and ever.

Here's what the spirit of God taught me about the spirit being saved and the flesh of man being destroyed.

I Corinthians 5:
1: It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father's wife.
2: And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
3: For though absent in body I am present in spirit, and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment
4: in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
5: you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Thats called church discipline and was about a specific issue - a man was having
relations with his fathers wife - ie his own mother or step mother.

Those verses were about how to deal with an unrepentant person.
ie shun them and let Satan have his way with them. Many people after
experiencing the world later realise they have made a big mistake and
return back to God. The prodigal son is another such example he wanted
to do things his own way, then later in the pits of despair he repeated and
returned to the father.

That is what those verses refer to sometimes you have to give a person
enough rope to hang thmselves before they come to their senses.

Unfortunately, the Corinthian church, instead of taking action, were
tolerating this relationship and so Paul had to put them right on that matter.

The spirit delivers the truth and that's who I obey. Satan doesn't know the truth but he sure thinks he does.

Cant disagree with that comment, God doesn't want any of us to learn the hard way, but
unfortunatley it's the only way some people learn. I think that's what the verses in
Corinthians mean.

Another example is the difference between first and second generation Christians.

First generation, i.e. Adults come to salvation. They have seen the worse the world and satan
has to offer but finally come to salvation with genuine repentance and grateful hearts.

They have children (second generation) who are brought up in Christian families and
values. Some go off the rails because they do not realise the privilege they have of their
Godly upbringing, they don't know how bad life can be without God. So they go
do their own thing, enjoy for a time all the world has to offer. Get in a mess and
come to their senses. I've seen that happen a few times.

What does God's will mean to you?
What God's will means to me:

- Leaving behind the wants of my flesh, taking up my cross and following him.

- Developing that relationship with the lord, so I can hear His voice increasingly, so I'll be able to hear His word and follow His will accordingly,

- Giving up my free will, turning it over to Him and asking 'what do you want me to do Lord, my life isn't my own, it's Yours, tell me what You want me to do and I will do it.'

- It means that I was created for a reason otherwise God would just beam me up right out of here. I was created to complete part of the picture that God wants of this world. To do the work, that no one else can do, using my God given abilities and talents to do His Work so that HE might be glorified, not me.

- To do His work in other people's lives so those who don't know Him, are inspired to come to Him as their Lord and Saviour "i want her peace and happiness!"

- Not taking matters into my own hands but trusting God will work things out on my behalf in His time and His way.

- That anything that comes from God is not confusing or damaging, it's peaceful and productive - a huge factor in determining when the enemy is trying facilitate confusion over someone trying to discern God's will for that circumstance.

What happens among God's people is that the spirit of Satan remains an influence until the flesh is destroyed. When you're reborn in the spirit of God, it can take many years to complete all the teaching necessary to totally understand how to deal with Satan. Those who are young in the spirit don't understand this very well and allow Satan to control. This is what causes them to question and argue with other believers.

I've been in the spirit a very long time and have been taught many deep things that can't possibly be understood by the young spirit until their teaching is complete. It's like a brain surgeon trying to teach a high school student how he detects cancer in the brain and remove it successfully.
