Not what I intended got off track rambled a bit, just a share of some things between the Word and the spirit.. tons of scripture take whatever you will, i think theres alot of good stuff. certainly dont have to believe anything, just a thought process scripture leads to amazing places.

john14:10 "Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The WORDS I SAY TO YOU I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is THE FATHER, living in me, WHO IS DOING HIS WORK. ( Gods WORK is to speak He speaks, and it is God spoke and creation became he speaks and sinners are re created in Christ. the subject is, the SPIRIT and the WORD. 2 scriptures john 4:24 "God is spirit"

and Genesis 1:2-3 "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the SPIRIT OF GOD was hovering over the waters. And God SAID, “Let there be light,” and there was LIGHT." ( God is spirit, the power is His WORD, because the WORD IS GOD, GOD IS SPIRIT) john 6:63." Jesus is the WORD, and God is the SPIRIT. )

john 1:1-4" In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD ( God is spirit) , and the WORD ( Jesus) was GOD (God is spirit). He ( the word) was with God in the beginning. THROUGH HIM ALL THINGS were made ; WITHOUT HIM NOTHING was made that has been made. In HIM ( the word) WAS LIFE, and THAT LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF MANKIND."

john 4:23-26" Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. GOD IS SPIRIT, and his worshipers MUST WORSHIP IN SPIRIT and in TRUTH.” The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, HE WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO US.” Then JESUS DECLARED, “I, the one SPEAKING TO YOU—I AM HE.”

john 1:9-14 "THE TRUE light that gives LIGHT TO EVERYONE was coming into the world. HE was in the world, and though the WORLD WAS MADE THROUGH HIM ( Gods WORD), the world did not recognize HIM. He came to that which was his own (the jews rejected Him), but his own DID NOT RECEIVE HIM. Yet to ALL WHO DID RECEIVE HIM ( anyone), to those who BELIEVED in his name, ( Jesus the WORD) HE GAVE THE RIGHT TO BECOME children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. ( you must be born of the spirit, God is spirit to be a "child" of God) The WORD BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us. We ( the apostles) have seen his GLORY, the GLORY OF THE ONE NAD ONLY SON ,who came from the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH."

john 3:3 "Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

john 3:5-6"Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to FLESH, but the SPIRIT GIVES BIRTH TO SPIRIT."
1 peter 1:23 "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, THROUGH THE LIVNG and ENDURING WORD OF GOD." ( matthew 24:25 ...my words will never pass away)

John 6:63 "The SPIRIT GIVES LIFE; the flesh counts for nothing. The WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU —they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE.Yet there are SOME of you who DO NOT BELIEVE.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless THE FATHER HAS ENABLED them.” ( were enabledfor repentance and born again through the spirit of Gods WORD)

14:6-7 "Jesus answered, “I am the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. no ONE COMES TO THE FATHER except THROUGH ME. If you really know ME, ( Jesis is the WORD) you will know MY FATHER AS WELL. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." ( God is spirit)

john 14:10-11 " Don’t you believe that I AM IN THE FATHER, and that the FATHER IS IN ME ? The WORDS I SAY TO YOU I do NOT speak on MY OWN AUTHORITY. RATHER, it is THE FATHER, living IN ME, who is doing HIS WORK. (God "works" by speaking HIS WORD) Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. ( every miracle Jesus SPOKE the miracle, Like God, if Jesus says it, it is So.... because He spoke the WORDS OF GOD, GOD IS SPIRIT, JESUS THE WORD THE SPIRIT IS IN THE WORD)

JOHN 14:15-27 "“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another ADVOCATE to help you and be with you FOREVER— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives WITH YOU and will BE IN YOU. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. BECAUSE I LIVE, YOU ALSO WILL LIVE. ON THAT DAY you will realize that I AM IN MY FATHER, and YOU ARE IN ME, and I AM IN YOU. WHOEVER HAS MY COMMANDS and KEEPS THEM is THE ONE WHO LOVES ME. The ONE WHO LOVES ME will be LOVED BY MY FATHER, and I TOO WILL LOVE THEM and SHOW MYSELF TO THEM.”
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”

Jesus replied, “Anyone who LOVES ME will OBEY MY TEACHING. My Father will love them, and we will COME TO THEM and make our HOME WITH THEM. Anyone who DOES NOT LOVE me will NOT OBEY MY TEACHING. THESE WORDS you hear are not my own; they BELONG TO THE FATHER who SENT ME. ( God is spirit, Jesus the Word)
“All this I have spoken while still with you. But THE ADVOCATE, THE HOLY SPIRIT, whom the FATHER will send IN MY NAME, will TEACH YOU ALL THINGS and will REMIND YOU OF EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID TO YOU. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

JOHN 15 : 7-11 "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."

v15-17 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17This is my command: Love each other."

v 26-27 "When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning."( anyone who believes Jesus words, has been with Him from the beginning because they are born of God children, through the spirit in the words of Gods Son just as Jesus was with God from the beginning so we are with Him through Faith in His word remembering that Gods Word, is Gods power, he speaks and it IS)

The Holy spirit, and Jesus Words cant be seperated.....there is so much more to add but its 3 am anyone interested can find at least as much if not more connections between the spirit and the Word.

just ading some more scriptures and thoughts to the op...

romans 8:1-2 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE has set youa free from the law of sin and death."

john 6:63 " The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU—they are SPIRIT AND they are LIFE."

john 15:9-11 "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now REMAIN IN MY LOVE. IF YOU KEEP my commands, you will REMAIN IN MY LOVE, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."

ROMANS 8:16 "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. "

john 1:12-13 "Yet to all who did receive him ( Gods Word), to those who believed in his name (Jesus), he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (Gods Word testifies that we are Gods children)

romans 8:10 "But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE because of righteousness."

john 1:4 "In him (the word) was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. "(spirit gives birth to spirit the words i have spoken to you are SPIRIT and they are LIFE the word of Christ gives Life because it is full of the spirit of God)

1 peter 1:22-23 "Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. ( the spirit gives birth to spirit, Jesus words are spirit, we are born again of the spirit , through the word of Christ)

james 1:18 "He chose to give us BIRTH THROUGH THE WORD OF TRUTH, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. ( John 1:12-13)

JOHN 3:5-6 "Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the SPIRIT GIVES BIRTH TO SPIRIT." (john 6:63) (

Galatians 4:6 "Because you are his sons, God sent the SPIRIT OF HIS SON into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” (john 1:12-13, john 6:63 james 1:18)

to serve by the spirit and not the "written code" is to follow the gospel, the words of Jesus Christ are spirit. we are born through His word, by believing His words and because we Believe Jesus, we understand He is saying " do these things, learn them and apply them to your life" because He says it so many times and we believe Him. ( it is by Grace we are saved THROUGH faith)

You get off track and ramble quite a bit most of the time.

What is the point of your OP? Are you coming to believe
that Jesus is God? Did Jesus exist from eternity past,
and return to the Godhead after His earthly mission
was completed, or is He a created Being?
If He is a created Being, did He create Himself,
since all things were made by Him and for Him?

In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God.

It says right there that Jesus is God.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

Why do you deny that Jesus is God, Jason?

Some things the Bible says of the word

Jesus is the word, the word is Life and light of all mankind, His words are eternal, they are spirit and life, we are born again of the spirit through the word, the word is truth, the way, the perfect Law, the word is true Love, the word is guaranteed, a promise, the word is the sword of the spirit, the word is our sanctification, if you know the word, you know God, the word of Christ "sustains all things", all things were created through the word of God who is spirit.....

The Bible is not a book, it is the mind and spirit of God conveyed to man through His words. Am I a "red letter believer" YES.Does this ommit the rest of the Bible? NO, it is the insight into the rest, the 4 gospels are the wisdom of God spoken by Gods Son. do i think its an insult to be called a "red letter believer" Not at all, it is my glory actually and a compliment that I believe Gods Word. that I trust in the way, truth and Life. that i believe Gods testimony about His SON. " This is my SON with whom i anm well pleased, listen to Him. its a blessing to me to understand the prophecy about the prophet God would raise up in deuteronomy, it is the grace of God that He has given me faith in Jesus and His Living words of the spirit. it is Life to me, encouragement that people recognize me as a " red letter believer"

I love that those who try to make it a bad thing to beleive Jesus, are always the one who equate " obedience" to being a " work of the law" that we arent supposed to actually do because of Grace. I love that thier own words, reveal the intent of thier doctrine. that it should be plain to those who look closely they are teaching a "grace" that makes obedience wrong and oppressive, and that Gods Grace is to teach repentance and obedience.

I Love that thier own words reveal a grace that frees them from obedience, But Gods Grace frees believers from sin which is disobedience. i Love that on careful examination thier words reflect the intent of the original deception meant to omit Gods word, and remove obedience to it. that was the serpents motivation then, and still is today by saying " Grace means you dont need to believe Gods word about things and obey it, you will live anyways, eventhough His word doesnt say that"

Grace Loves obedience to Gods commands, yet thier grace teaches people that obedience is a bad idea, to believe what Jesus ( God word) taught, is a bad idea, bad advice to believe Jesus who said " it is foolish to not obey His word, and wisdom to obey it" i love how clear false doctrine becomes just by listening to it, and knowing Jesus who is the truth

Yeah, well, hmmm, in fact the Bible is a book. It appears you have made the grave error of thinking that Jesus and the Bible are synonymous. To make the Living Word, Jesus Christ, synonymous with the written word is to deify the book, and to reduce Jesus to mere words on a page. It is bibliolatry, and that’s a big no no.

Complete utter nonsense again - saying that grace believers do not obey Christ.....when are you ever going to tell the truth about what people believe about grace and obeying God?

How many times have you been told the truth of what is really being said? What drives you to continually speak lies and slander even after being told by many different people the truth?

I will give you my views on this again...for the 10th time at the very least - and yet you still lie and slander. What has happened to you Jason? Why are you so full of malice and hatred that drives you to slander and type the same lies over and over again?

Why have you allowed a root of bitterness to,spring up and defile your mind like this? ( Heb. 12:15 ) Don't you know that all this is going to negatively affect you and those around you?

You know better then this. This is not for you are in Christ.

All grace believers believe in obeying God and following Christ who is in our hearts. What may be causing you to be defiled is that your "application" of some things may be different.

Whenever our assurance of salvation rests upon our "performance" rather then upon the "promises" of God that are Yes and Amen in Christ - we are in big trouble - we have fallen from grace to rely on our own self-effort so grace does not flow to us.

Obedience in the New Covenant:

In loving God and others as Jesus says is the greatest commandment in the law in relation to obedience.

Obedience to me is a fruit of the life of Christ in our inner man. It is not the root. It's the love of God and the life of Christ manifesting Himself in and through us to a hurt and dying world and to our fellow brethren.

It is not necessarily something "we do to be" but stems from something we "already are now" in Him and so we "do love" as we grow in our awareness of His love for us.

We obey our Lord and Father because we know Him and trust in His character and obedience is not a set of rules that we follow, but a natural flow of the life of God in us built on a love-trust relationship. When you know the love of God for us we will obey Him naturally and effortlessly.

When our minds are renewed to the truth that is in Christ - we obey from our hearts effortlessly. It's a fruit of being in Christ.

I maintain that obedience is a fruit of the life of Christ in our inner man that is created in Christ. When we teach the grace of God this enables us to bear His fruit in and through us to reflect the true kingdom of the love and grace of God to a hurt and dying world.

Teach and preach who believers are in Christ because we are in union in one spirit with the Lord Jesus and they will "awake to righteousness" that is in already in them because they are a new creation in Christ and sin not and walk in the good works that God has prepared for them.

How is answering simple straightforward questions arguing? This is the Bible Discussion Forum. Do you just want to come here and dump your ramblings all the time and not discuss whatever the point is that you are getting at? Do you deny that you ramble a lot? If you are still denying what Scripture plainly states you could also very simply say that, as well. Example: "That is right Magenta, I deny what Scripture plainly states since I do not believe that Jesus is God." Would that really be so difficult?

The interesting this here is that you blindly accuse people of this whether they actually do or not, and when it is pointed out to you, you repeatedly refuse to take any responsibility for it, but then mouth pretty words about the love of God as if that absolves you of your gross errors and false accusations.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, Gen 6:1

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

"....O God, God of the spirits of all flesh, ...."
Num 16:22

I am the LORD, the God of all flesh:
Jer 32:27

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, theWord, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

really i think the op is showing this

matthew 16:16-17 "Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for THIS was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my FATHER IN HEAVEN."

luke 1:30-35 "
But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”35The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[SUP]b[/SUP] the Son of God. "

john 1:34 "And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God."

matthew 14:33 "Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God."

matthew 4:1-10 "Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[SUP]a[/SUP] by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[SUP]b[/SUP]5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:“ ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[SUP]c[/SUP]

7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[SUP]d[/SUP]8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[SUP]e[/SUP]

james 1:13 "
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;"

really its found throughout scripture. the Only true belief of Jesus isthat He is the Christ, the Son of God. that statement is what its ALL about.

1 john 5:1-5 "
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God."

Jesus says plainly " i did not speak on my own authority, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that i have spoken."...even God said " this is my Son, with whom i am well pleased Listen to Him."

the op, Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ who was promised from ages past who would come, suffer and die, be resurrected give the true message from God to the people of isreal, and then through them send the same message to the world.

1 john 5:9-11 "
We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given ABOUT HIS SON.10Whoever believes in the SON OF GOD accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony GOD HAS GIVEN ABOUT HIS SON."

catholocism is where the trinity doctrine originated, not the Bible.
