The New Testament Law.
Welcome to CC.

Both. There are many threads here that discuss various points on this subject. I suggest that you spend a few hours reading them.

People will argue and debate nit pick and dissect the law to the ends of the earth. me personally to understand the law I look to Jesus, I see the law complete in his actions in his words in the way he interacted with even the worst of sinners I see how highly he regards fathers I see how he stands for what he knows is right even if he is hated I see him taking the deepest wounds for the sake of others.

The law is not what we should focus on, if we focus on Jesus and we begin to notice see and understand his traits his nature his way of being his way of seeing the law will naturally be written on our hearts. Love completes the law

It takes effort on our part. To do my part is to do my part is to do my part.

Effort? Not sure what you mean, we cannot keep the law ourselves with effort many have tried all have failed.
For me I just allow it to flow by seeking out to know and love God more and more everyday however and whenever I can, that hunger that is never ending that fire that never quenches is what drives me to seek and know to love and to adore him more and more and more and I saw that the more I did this the more I not only understood the law but the more the law was written on my heart my heart naturally followed the law as if by instinct

I understand now why David wrote what he did in Psalm 40:8 I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart."

The Old Testament Law.
The New Testament Law.
Under the old covenant GOD commanded, keep the law but JESUS had not yet come to earth and because of the weakness of the flesh under the old covenant they could not be perfect before GOD.

Under law, they were sacrificing the blood of Innocent lambs to temporarily be cleaned.

They would press their hands, transferring their sin Into the lamb.

Only by grace through faith could we be perfect before GOD.

In the new testament JESUS was the lamb of GOD that took away the sins of the world.

Someone might ask,If JESUS took away the sins of the world, then why Is sin still here?

JESUS said that the words he spoke were Spirit and they are Life.

Only GOD can make the spirit clean and we have access to this grace through faith.

I wanted to post the scriptures Romans 10 verses 1-21 but Its hard to post on this tablet.
Here you go...

Romans 10:1-21 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.

[SUP]2 [/SUP] For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

[SUP]5 [/SUP] For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.

[SUP]6 [/SUP] But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down),

[SUP]7 [/SUP] or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."

[SUP]8 [/SUP] But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

[SUP]9 [/SUP] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

[SUP]10 [/SUP] for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

[SUP]11 [/SUP] For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

[SUP]12 [/SUP] For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

[SUP]13 [/SUP] for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

[SUP]14 [/SUP] How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

[SUP]15 [/SUP] How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"

[SUP]16 [/SUP] However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?"

[SUP]17 [/SUP] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have; "THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH, AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD."

[SUP]19 [/SUP] But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, "I WILL MAKE YOU JEALOUS BY THAT WHICH IS NOT A NATION, BY A NATION WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING WILL I ANGER YOU."

[SUP]20 [/SUP] And Isaiah is very bold and says, "I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I BECAME MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME."

[SUP]21 [/SUP] But as for Israel He says, "ALL THE DAY LONG I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE."

To follow the leading of the HS is what we're told to do.. If you just follow the letter you'll miss it.. The HS is needed to teach why and how... We can't please God with our mind. Thinking we can put it together and get it right is a grave mistake
