“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:12-13).

Yes that is scripture - and good advice !
We all know it, but are we all HUMBLE enough to follow it ?
Seems to me we are now so 'increased in knowledge' we find our own answeres to problems much quicker than God gives. We are not very good at 'walking with God or 'waiting on Him.

we hear you beta,

it looks like most of the world is running into their own dreams and desires
and turning to Jesus only as a last resort or excuse to be excused from
their behavior/conscience...

Our way = serve self. take care of self. put self above everyone because no one will take care of you. Love self before you can love others.

Gods way = Love others, Love God. Love even your enemy, Put their needs above yours, Sacrifice your needs to take care of their needs, And to take what God has given you, and use it to serve them. Love others, because God has loved you and filled your cup to overflowing with love..

So we seem to know the 'difference----but how do we show it to God ?
Who is up for doing it the way GOD wants it done to HIM ?
Do you know what scripture says how to love God ? and do you do it HIS way ?

here are 7 & 8...which make 5 & 6, even more compelling....

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.

the bible is a big book , to study and many years , reading and rereading.

Romans 8: Life in the Spirit
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

what has he already set you free from.

Trust in the Lord in all your ways and lean not unto your own understanding,

as some have said, 'over-coming and conforming is truly a life-long journey/walk...
may we only desire what He requires of us, for only then are we able to walk
in the Light of His Lamp...

That has been a favourite verse of mine for many years now, in the OP.

For me, God is always very clear what his way is. And if I don't follow it, he let's me know.

But "Trust" is a big part of it. I think for the first 25 years of my Christian walk, I did not trust God. Because I had such bad experiences with getting hurt when I trusted people. So God showed me he was not "people" and I could trust him, even when things did not seem good.

That was a huge learning curve, something he reminds me of, when I forget.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding,
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straightyour paths." Prov. 3:5-6

I translated it from Hebrew and this was my version. Pretty close to most version!

Because I had such bad experiences with getting hurt when I trusted people.
When Jesus says to carry our cross daily, is trusting people even though we know they will hurt us.
And then we will forgive them, because we love them.

Hurt is so often our weakness, yet it is the core of Jesus, he bears our hurts and pain, and so should
we for each other.

I did not see this before until now. It is very profound. Love overcomes in Christ these hurts, for
the cross is the very symbol of taking our sin, bearing its pain, and forgiving and loving despite it.

Thankyou Lord, Praise your name, Glory be unto you, who was beaten and broken that we might
be healed.

When we find ourselves breaking the Lord's commandments, we need to get back on track.

So I wanted to put in my two cents ...
consider others above yourself. If you are hungry and have a sandwich and someone asks you for it, just give it to him.
goes back to loving your neighbor which fulfills the full law. Paul wrote this.
if you don't love God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength it will be impossible to love your neighbor as yourself.

Thats is all I have to say but I want to share a cool YouTube video by pastor surprise sithole, a young man of God called from the depth of Africa who went on a long journey with God and started over 10000 church's in the bush! And experienced many healings and miracles which he wrote of in a book called voice in the night.
He recived a vision from God of the end times which discuss how we, his bride should be, as well as gives insight on how knowledge has burdened us
