The problem is, people post on many different topics concerning the Bible but it's unlikely to last beyond 2 pages, it seems the more controversial the subject, the more it's discussed and as a consequence it generally all ends in a huge argument with inflated ego's and hurt feelings - it's why I generally don't go there.

Why don't we discuss something completely different? How about the 4 Gospels and how and why John's Gospel is different than the other 3?

Icicles are boring. Though I hear they make a good murder weapon. Or is that an urban legend? lol

They're not boring, they provide hours of entertainment for cats.

We had a huge one outside a window once. I grabbed it, and "ate" what I could, then put it in a towel on the floor. The cat kept returning to lick at it until it had melted away :p

I can only speak for myself but I can not imagine how someone could be a believer and not talk to God throughout the day. He is always near my thoughts and I speak with Him often. Is that prayer? Well, I believe it is but again that is just for me. As to reading the Word maybe you could show me where it gives a prescribed amount of time we are to read it each day?
Well, I do pray occasionally, not every day though. And whenever I try to read the bible, I get distracted after just a few minutes. I can't learn from the bible in just a couple minutes of reading.. I just feel like a bad, unworthy Christian sometimes..

If you have faith in Jesus to save you the you are as "good" a Christian as you will ever be and as "good" a Christian as there has ever been. It is not our righteousness that matters it is His righteousness that saves us.

It's not about how many times we read the Bible (though it is helpful to know it for discussion purposes and to defend our faith) or pray - though God does want us to know Him. It's about the heart, God is concerned with the condition of our hearts. To be saved see post #24, confession and belief my friend.

Now you did it! You made a true statement that will bring out those who will explain to us what we must do to keep ourselves saved and how faith alone is not enough.

We were all unworthy, but loves us and Jesus took our place so we could have what we couldn't on our own..

Why is this forum and those who frequent it obsessed with the OSAS and hyper-grace topics? There are so many Biblical topics worth discussing but every time I log in these topics dominate the forums and therefore the list of topics on the home page.

Pleeeese can we discuss something else? It's getting boring!
If OSAS is true, its not necessary to discuss anything else. We don't need to learn anything, we can throw our bibles out, all topics are moot now, because we've all got a pass into heaven and are all home free :)

It's difficult when all of these topics are so firmly connected. It's like all main roads lead to the same fork many times by consequence. It's why, in the bible discussion forum, I don't mind dissecting scripture with anyone. "Rightly divide" as we're taught to do. That way we can step out of the discussion and put the burden on the words we were given. I think it's when we stray from the words of scripture to support our own doctrines (whether for or against a topic) that we descend into arguing, name-calling, judgments, grouping, etc. "I am of Paul. and another, I am of Apollos." (1 Corinthians 3:4).

Lol! Looks like this thread will not survive.

Maybe they should just settle everything in a fist fight. :D
Not a fist fight, maybe they should hit each other over the head with the Bible so that they can feel the knowledge growing.

God spewing out of His mouth in Revelation is about a whole local church example. Not a believer alone.

The context is about churches. It's about a Luke warm church. So a Luke warm church could lose the presence of the Holy Spirit 'in the midst'. This doesn't mean the individual believers have lost the presence of the Holy Spirit in their soul/spirit.
