of course they are. it all started 2700BC when university of Memphis raced Gath state university, the frat brothers would always make sacrifices to Baal and Horace before each chariot race. it got much worse when Gath omitted the "state" and started referring to themselves as GU thinking it would make them more politically correct but much more snobbish. after football was introduced in 1800 BC we saw the first conference play. the philistines dominated the 1st 4 seasons but in 1400 BC they were crushed by Hebron (the U) of the Sea of Galilee conference. it should be noted that Hebron were the first to incorporate a spread / zone read offense, much to fast for those slow giants. big but dumb.

As someone who was part of a fraternity in college and became born again....
There are many things done in secret in fraternity that when examined with scripture are not good.
I cannot say the same for every fraternity or sorority but the things which are of truth and God are not done shadowed in secrecy.

As for freemasonry and eastern stars.... i'd argue there are many things about them which are not in line with God's truth when it comes to values, practices, and belief.

Uh. What? I don't know where you find this stuff. Also, your timeline is off. 2700BC? So this event occurred before the Flood of Noah's time (which was roughly around 1656BC)?

Good grief. Being a fraternity member lowered the cost of beer and increased the opportunity to meet chicks. I was 21. Sue me.

Just never lose sight............. that the world and most churches are going to make the majority go out on witch hunt's for this stuff to smoke screen the real problem...........being proud that they are not involved in such devilish activity and they count on that as being "good" enough.

I believe it's a tongue in cheek remark to the op brother using the rivalry between universities, and their fraternities. Here in the United States to poke some fun.

And it was very clever. If it didn't take him 5 hours or so to come with that .......I am impressed.

Would of taken me 5 or 6 days, no 5 or 6 months to come up with that!

I'd call you and explain but meeting all those chicks meant drinking more beer so in truth it cost me more money being in a fraternity and now I'm broke so I can't call you.

So this is your subtle plea for some cash to pay your phone bill, which you will just use for more chicks and beer?

You Frat guys!? Get Jesus.

A Christian is not allowed to take secret oaths. If you have taken a secret oath by repeating it have you committed idolatry?

Oaths
33 “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ 34 But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.[a]
Matthew 5:33-37
ESV

But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned. James 5:12 NLT

Don't stop with just those, the names of the days of the week are after Pagan Gods.
