okay...I just read this in another forum...family forum and it occurs to me that people believe this and there are plenty of books out there that teach this

BUT...does the Bible teach this?

are women walking around under a curse, forever living under a burden that really, no one can bear?

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
II Corinthians 5:17

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

I guess the question is: are we still cursed as Adam and Eve, or are we new creatures in Christ and these curses are broken?

I'm wondering how many people believe this

"the curse" will always be until we are again with our Maker.

Women and men are dealing with their curse everyday, the difference is because we are Christians we know where to look for guidance and comfort.

They are if they are still blinded by ignorance in their minds that they are a new creation in Christ. The real them is not under the curse but unfortunately religious teachings from our upbringing have messed up our minds and thus we are destroyed while on this earth because of our ignorance of the truth that is in Christ.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.." Hoses 4:6...and some even when hearing about Christ and what He has already done for us - they still reject that truth for their own thinking whether it be from erroneous church teachings or just a figment of their own un-renewed minds.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. We can believe it or live with the thought we are still under a curse.

Galatians 3:12-13 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, "HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM."

[SUP]13 [/SUP] Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"—

I say we are new creations in Christ. That's my vote.

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

this is one of my favourite verses :)

Amen..I love it too. It speaks of Christ to me and how we are totally dependent on Him for life and living as Christians in the New Covenant.

well that's certainly what I see in scripture also!

God has elevated us...everyone who believes....ABOVE our flesh...we are more ...we are united in Christ and NOT cursed any longer

which people are destroyed here?

those under the old covenant who turned to idols and demon worship?

that is NOT who I am! I am sorry if you see yourself that way....or anyone else that way!

that is no way to live!

surely you do not see believers in Christ as destroyed for lack of knowledge?

now if folks do not listen to the word and do not obey it, that is one thing, but I'm not talking about those folks

Now all we have to do is look and see what the curses were in Deut. to find out what we are redeemed from. This might cause some "disturbances" with some of our church teachings from the past....lol

ha!

my dad was ahead of his time! he raised me to think for myself and gave me the confidence to be who I am and not who people thought I should be

(now my mother did her best to undermine that, but God is merciful!...and I care very much for my mom, but can only pray cause she is toxic for me)

hang on with the curses in Deut...they sure fit though...personally, I do believe curses can operate in a believer's life, but I think it is plain they do not have to and they surely should NOT!

I mean, what is redemption if we are not redeemed?

some of this is just so logical, you have want to be in a bad way to believe otherwise LOL!

well, there are girls and then there are girls and then there are women

just like there are boys and then there are boys and then there are men

(although many men still have quite a bit of boy)

seriously though, I am not sexist here...I firmly believe that both men and women need to be set free from these harmful mindsets and see each other as who they ARE...who God created them to be!

I have seen both men and women just act out what others say about them...it ain't purty!

I'm in this for both sides

Women still have birth pain. Humans still experience physical death.

We are the new creatures because we have reconciled with God and will inherit eternal life once our physical life on earth ends.
