There is a lot of talk(teachings) in the church about "breaking curses". my question is, is there any where in the entire bible that suggests that a curse was broken or can be broken?

The bible is full of curses who are cast, that a curse without curse cannot come to rest..but besides that Jesus redeemed us from the Curse of the law..
I do believe in Curse breaking tho..no way around it

Personally I believe a lot of this "breaking curses" is just charismatic-mania. The believing of the truth of the redemption of Christ is what is needed for us to walk in truth.

I know that "generational" curses exist but I don't believe in them.

I believe in what Christ did with His finished work on the cross, death, burial, quickening, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father and that we are one with Christ in our inner man that is a new creation in Him.

If we want to get rid of darkness - we turn on the light - not try to curse the darkness. or sit around and discuss the darkness. Speak the truth about Christ as He is the light - darkness will melt like a snowball in hell.

Proverbs 26:2 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, So a curse without cause does not alight.

Even knowing these things there are times that others need help in some areas but I believe true deliverance comes from the proper knowledge of Christ Himself - so we preach and teach Him.

I remember a story our pastor said. There was this little toddler who was acting weird. He seems to be a magnetized by porn magazines and other porn stuff. The mother said that she did'nt know who was the father of the child because that night she had intercouse with different men. In short the child was born out of immorality. So the pastors decided to pray over the child. And they observed after some time that weird behavior of the child was gone.

well there is a difference between curse and demonisation though. Not always do you deal with a curse. Often but not always.

The power of God breaks all curses.

Witches, Warlock and other demonically, inspired people will attempt to "curse" people but God is more powerful then their demonic masters.

Jesus tells us that the One who is in us has overcome the evil one of the world.

We stand in the truth of God's love and protection... No magic ceremony or words needed, because it is not by our own power or actions that the curse is broken, but by God's love and grace that we are untouched by the schemes of our enemies.

There are lots of curses that people are under that they are blind to.

The curse of pride is a big one. The Lord Jesus breaks these curses. Even the ones we are blind to.

Just look into your own family. You will see things such as anger and violence or covetousness or lust and you can see how these things had an effect on you and other family members.

When you come to Christ you can see how these things are broken. You may still have anger or lust from time to time but you aren't under its power any longer. Some of the old things that we lived a long time with are still familiar.

That's a funny term isn't it? Familiar. How it relates to the word family...

Christ became a curse for us so that we could be blessing. Those who are in Christ are always under blessing not curse. No weapon formed against us will prosper , no dart or curse shall rest upon us so as we are shielded by our faith in Christ.

my personal experience with the demonic is that demons hate joy and love redundancy. They love to distract you. They say look at the stars look at the cracks in the sidewalk look a woman look see feel touch this is real!!! Well it's not. Eternity is real, our spirit and our new imperishable body and inheritance is real, rooted in eternity ablaze by the light of his love brighter than a million suns. When I'm full of joy and on the edge of laughter in the Holy Spirit, my mind is in a good and safe place and impervious in that moment to the lusts of the flesh. Demons are funny cause they know the truth... They are all going into the fiery furnace of God's wrath to be tortured for eternity. So they must keep themselves drunk. They delight in doubt , in despair, in worry, they feed off that because it is their portion. Their existence sucks! And they only take "joy" in seeing others who are currently sucking more than them !

So my solution to curses and demonic oppression is always finding joy, finding laughter, blessing when you are cursed, laughing when demons come to torment you, because of course the truth is, not one of His shall be taken from His hand, and we are His and so we laugh when troubles come, for the very existence of our doubt and anxiety is hilarious because we know we are safe. Do we fear when children come attack us with water guns? We laugh! And so too we should laugh when demons come at us with demonic weapons , for we are armored in the full armor of Christ, and the terrors of hell are to us who are guarded by the glory and grace of God much less terrifying than getting soaked by a bunch of kids blasting us with water pistols. We know our inheritance is kept for us, and we know He is faithful to complete the good work he began in us.....

so I guess I mean to say ... Curses are silly cause we are blessed in Jesus' name and pretty much that trumps any curse. I imagine any curse placed on me as a magician comes approaching with a dark ominous voice and holding a card in his hand, the mighty 10 of diamonds full of the power of terrifying demonic authority and a billboard just crushes the card, and him and the billboard says: God bless us! Each and every one of us.

Dont nut let that silly stuff intimidate you or give you cause for concern , we have Daddy on our side :)

Yes. Some of them don't have as big an effect on us as they would another. Just like some that don't affect others really affect us...

Here is a hilarious story about a warlock that calls this Christian up to "curse" him. Notice the Christian did not have to break the curse because he knew the truth about Christ.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Balaam couldn't curse Israel bc God had blessed them.
In Deut 28, curses came to the disobeying ones
Bible also says God said no longer will children pay for the sins of the parents but each will account for their own..

If you don't what the Bible says concerning things, you'll be bamboozled into taking anything that happens.. Jesus came so we could have life, have it abundantly

oh yes, 'curses' are very real, just read your Bible, it will give you many accounts of different
kinds of curses...LEV. 26, is a perfect example...

we are currently observing a neighborhood feud, which goes back at least (3) generations that
we know of personally...generational curse is written all over it, as we are witnessing it and
have been asked to pray and intercede for the ones who are being attacked...

it's heartbreaking, to say the least, and as much as we would love to intercede, we must wait
on our Holy Father's guidance and do as He instructs us...else, we would get 'entangled' in the affairs
of this world'....but, as we all who Love our Lord know, PRAYER is the POWER that we can access for
others when we are called upon...

How many so called generational curses are actually learned addictive behaviors?

For example...a girl is born into a unsaved or even saved home and all her formative years she sees that Mom always deals with stress by drinking to excess....by the time she is 15 the girl starts dealing with stress by drinking to excess....she leaves home and this learned addictive behavior is in full swing...she gets married and she deals with stress by drinking to excess...her daughter is born and that young girl see's that grandma and mom always deal with stress by drinking to excess.....

Now change the word stress for anything else and insert drinking for drugs, sexual immorality, etc.....

Now do we have a satanic generational curse, that must be broken or do we have learned addictive behaviors that need to be addressed?

I know my example does not cover everything and I know that demonization is real and can affects blood lines, but my point is that I think the church at times confuses the demonic for those who are simply entangled by learned addictive behaviors and those Children of God that struggle with works of the flesh....

There is not a devil behind every detail and when we play that game we damage people more than we save them....

God has chosen to operate His work from the basis of faith. "The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:2) is God's prescribed order of victory for the Believer. This means that the Believer must maintained Faith exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The Blood of Jesus.

When a Believer faith waivers it frustrates the grace of God. And if the Believer continues in this sin they fall from grace (Christ will be of no benefit to you). Gods plan is clear; The Just (Righteous) shall by faith. Hebrews 10:38

[SUP]6 [/SUP]I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Gal. 1:6-9

Yes. King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah) was cursed (Jer 22:30) to never have a descendant sit on the throne of David, and this curse was reversed for his descendant Zerubbabel (Hag 2:23). Both figures appear in Jesus' genealogy in Matt 1.
