Am curious to ask everyone their thoughts on what the purpose of our life is to be after our new birth?

Debating doctrine?

Maybe not our purpose, but one of the benefits of life in Jesus is......

John 10

9 I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Our purpose here - Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1,2

To do the will of the Most High. Overall that is to love Yah with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourself. However each has their own role in the body of Messiah.

Good answer. My next question was to be...what is Gods purpose towards man?
God's purpose towards us - Ephesians 1 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

To take up our cross and follow Jesus. Jesus was and is the light of this world. He loves everyone and he loved us so much that he laid down his life for the us. I think that is our duty to love others and show them a light to help lead them to Jesus and his salvation.

I think that our main purpose is to glorify God and bring people to him. He will call each person individually in which kind of ministry he may need them.. Some may be teachers, some may be practical servants..

Our purpose is to do the will of God. We are purposed for a specific purpose, and He has purposed us for that purpose, and He will (via the Holy Spirit) equip us to accomplish that purpose if we only act in obedience to Him.

(my thoughts)

The Hidden Manna is The Bread of Life = Jesus Christ, given upon our final deliverance -
thus we will share a life with Him that is beyond our imagination - for eternity...

This forum has a lot of good teachers. I love being here.

I agree with you all. We all are created for His purposes...whatever they are to us individually, and collectively.

Hi Utah

I forgot about this thread and didn't see your post.

At this stage of my life I would say its to manifest Sonship in whatever way He desires. Right now its through writing.

Am curious to ask everyone their thoughts on what the purpose of our life is to be after our new birth?

Debating doctrine?

first it is a bible discussion forum and second, true doctrine is very important, false doctrine is very destructive.

The first true Doctrine

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." <<<this would have kept Life if followed.

The first false doctrine

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

the result of following the false doctrine

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

Our purpose in Life, is to Learn from Jesus, apply His word to our Lives, and Share His Gospel to others because it is the difference between an eternity in Life and peace and Glory we cannot comprehend, and torment that we cannot comprehend. the bible is true and it is serious business and "doctrine" will determine belief
