Am curious to ask everyone their thoughts on what the purpose of our life is to be after our new birth?

Debating doctrine?

Ac 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

For the cause of Christ

I imagine the Lord will provide us with a life, and we'll enjoy and appreciate that life.

I think the purpose is that we would be with our loving Father and Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity with nothing between us - so that we can share in the quality of life and love that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit share together. We too share in that life because we are " in Christ."

All good thoughts. But, no one mentioned debating doctrine. :)

I think it is good to see how all see. If we can accept that it is the gospel alone that brings unity.

Can our purpose change as we grow?

No debating doctrine is not our purpose however our purpose can be fulfilled in debating doctrine. The thing about debating is that often times it creates strife people argue and point the fingers they use scripture against each other all for the sake of disproving and proving war is often times made in the body of Christ because many do not go into debates to learn and grow they go into it to be right or simply for the high of heated debates they can go under the guise of giving brotherly correction or teaching but the fruits is different.

Debating doctrine has it's purpose if done in the correct manner, if we cannot debate in a mature calm and loving manner then the debate does no one any good and nothing can be learned or gained. But if one goes into debates with the intention to grow learn to become closer to God the outcome is vastly different even in the heat of war and attacks from others they respond in love and their words are still waters and yet as a blazing fire as they impact the hearts of others and show what love and who God truly is.

The motive of the heart decides everything

To glorify our Father.
How we do that is according to our maturity, i.e. knowledge and understanding of Scripture.
Our father has a place for us in His great plan. It is up to us as to how well surrender to His will.
But in the end, it is all about glorifying our Father. Anything else we do is a waste of the life God gives to each of us.

The Kingdom of God is not of this world . Where your heart is there you might find the peal of great price . Christ in us the victory of faith .

If God's purpose change. Remember He is the one that alone cause growth, as He forms Christ in us.

Garee,

would you ever ever think that to Jesus, you might be the pearl of great price? In so much that He loved all mankind that He would pay any price to buy the field? (World) :)

Good answer. My next question was to be...what is Gods purpose towards man?

Our purpose is to choose...

A) Life
B) Death

God cannot make this decision for us.

One of our purposes is to provide companionship for our Father.

To show that we love Him and appreciate all He has provided and done for us

To tell others about His Son......

I believe God's purpose for man is this: He loves us dearly and can't wait to show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness towards us.

Ephesians 2:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Our purpose is to be watchmen & spread the gospel to the lost so they to can be saved.

Mark 16:15 - And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation

Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Jesus intention for our walk with Him is plain in the following verses

I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
John 17:20-21

Oneness with God and with each other.

Our purpose according to the book of James 1:2-4, that we are perfect. Perfect means Christlikeness with Divine Faith that overcomes the world. Very few find it.

GOD created man because It pleased HIM to do so,but man chose to be disobedient to GOD and still,GOD did not walk away from man but made a way for man to have relationship with HIM,a holy GOD,loving righteousness.

No one has seen GOD.GOD Is a SPIRIT and faith pleases GOD,not carnal senses, man was weak because of the flesh.

GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotton son, that whosoever believed HIS WORD would not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE.

Those who have believed In HIS WORD have been born again of the SPIRIT of GOD and are HIS workmanship created In CHRIST JESUS unto good works that were before ordained that we should walk In them

He has given us the Grace to walk in His shoes, even until the end,
no matter the consequences, just like all of His disciples...
