The promise is to whosoever has the Spirit of Christ, the eternal Holy Spirit of God

The birthright is in respect to the spiritual unseen seed (eternal) Christ, not Abraham the temporal as that seen.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Old Testament covenant was given to Israel.The New Testament covenant was given to Israel,as Jesus said salvation is of the Jews,and He was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel,and there were Jews that followed Him when He was on earth,and the millennial reign is the kingdom restored to Israel,and all operating Gentile governments will not be,and the New Jerusalem after the millennial reign is patterned after Israel.

It is Israel all the way,and if they are a kingdom that no enemy can go against by their following God in the truth,or if they are a nation that enemies affect her because as a nation they do not abide by the truth,makes no difference in God's covenant with them,for the covenant always abides,and cannot be thwarted,and God deals with Israel the same all through the history of Israel,but they might go through problems because of their disobedience,or no problems because of their obedience,the same as God does not give up on the saints,for they might go through problems because of their not acting like Christ,and they will flourish if they act like Christ.

What is your point with this? This is the new covenant which started at the death of Christ.

Who are the sons of God, flesh Israel or children of the promise?

Just what I said. We are in the process of becoming the Sons or being filled with the glory of God. Positionally we are the Sons now.

You forget that Israel put faith in circumcision...in blood sacrifices...and the other sacrifices. Not all...some became jealous and wanted to be the rulers..known as the leaders; Pharisees, Sadducees etc. But, God has always had His own in physical Israel.

When I say wanted to be rulers...I mean control. They really didn't want Messiah to come.
