Ezekiel 33

23
Then the word of the Lord came to me: 24 “Son of man, the people living in those ruins in the land of Israel are saying, ‘Abraham was only one man, yet he possessed the land. But we are many; surely the land has been given to us as our possession.25Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Since you eat meat with the blood still in it and look to your idols and shed blood, should you then possess the land? 26 You rely on your sword, you do detestable things, and each of you defiles his neighbour’s wife. Should you then possess the land?’

27 “Say this to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword, those out in the country I will give to the wild animals to be devoured, and those in strongholds and caves will die of a plague. 28I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end, and the mountains of Israel will become desolate so that no one will cross them. 29 Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the detestable things they have done.’
30 “As for you, son of man, your people are talking together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, saying to each other, ‘Come and hear the message that has come from the Lord.’ 31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. 32 Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.
33 “When all this comes true—and it surely will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

forever means forever, except when it doesn't:rolleyes:
c'mon eg.

Isaiah 34:10
Night and day it shall not be quenched; its smoke shall go up forever. From generation to generation it [Edom] shall lie waste; none shall pass through it forever and ever.
You offered forever and ever which is different that just "forever."

There is a clear difference between the word "eternal" and "forever".

Forever and ever can mean eternal but the word "for ever" by itself must be distinguished by which creation. According to the generation of Adam natural man or according to the generation of Christ? The genealogy according to Luke (Adam) or that of Mathew (Christ)

The word forever does mean without end. But again when a applied to which creation? The word eternal is not to be confused with the word forever.

The generation of Adam which forever ends on the last day on earth when their temporal spirits returns to God who gave it and the lifeless spiritless body returns to the dust from where it was taken on the last day. The last day for them is fore ever and ever, never to come to new spirit life again

Ammon is to become a 'wasteland forever' and 'rise no more' (Zephaniah 2:9, Jeremiah 25:27) - until... An Ammonite or

Moabite is forbidden to enter the Lord's congregation forever - until... the tenth generation (Deuteronomy 23:3).
the Lord will 'restore the fortunes of the Ammonites' (Jeremiah 49:6).

Ruth entered the Lord's congregation in respect to the seed of Christ, on the tenth .Ten like the word hundred, or thousand is used to represent an unknown .This shows a faith issue is at hand.

The generation of Christ not in respect to the generation of Adam which would include a Amorite. (A person must be born again)

Also, would you agree that saying the holocaust didn't happen would be antisemitic?
Which holocaust? The 6 million Jews or the one the Jews carried out on the 66 million Bolsheviks?

In unbelieving nation were some individuals who accepted Christ.

Yes, Jews killed Jesus. Its in the Bible. :)
here is your problem. look at the 2 statements above. in the 1st statement your saying only a small minority were believers therefor the nation (the Jews) were non believers
2nd statement, a small minority conspired to kill Jesus therefore the nation (the Jews) killed Him. you see how this makes no sense. it can only be one or the other.
i like the smiley face. it doesnt make me smile, it actually hurts my spirit to see people accuse the 12 disciples, Mary Magdalene, Mary and Joseph and the many other Jewish believers that loved Jesus and believed in Him, of killing Him.

Genesis 15 incorporates the land boundaries given to Abraham. Today, they would include parts of Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine,Jordan,Syria,Iraq,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Under this covenant, history has shown that Israel has never taken possession of the whole land. Never.

Yet Joshua states in 21:45 .. :
Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. Why would he say that ?

Much later in Nehemiah 9:7-8 we read .. :
“You are the Lord God, who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham. You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous. (not ... you will keep your promise in two-thousand, five hundred years or so)

So .. what are we waiting on today ? An Israeli nation as prescribed above by the founders of Zionism ? Or is God true ... and every man a liar ? And is there something that the ultra-literalists in regards to the land promise are overlooking ?

I hope you realize you will have be dirty participating with us in heaven. There will be plenty of us.

If we are anti semites, you are anti christians. Because you feel dirty just by being with us.

And none of us would even dare to say he feels dirty just by participating with Jews.

I must say I do not understand the logic behind this post.

Russians conquered Berlin during the WW II. Does that mean every Russian conquered Berlin?
Of course not.

Jews killed the Lord. Does that mean Mary Magdalene killed the Lord?
Of course not.

The modern state of Israel is not the biblical Israel. Therefore, it stands to reason that...

Out of the topic, but do you know of which Noah´s son the Slavic nations came? Especially Western Slavic nations.

I have seen two different theories.

Was God an "anti-semite" for His punishment of Israel's repeated waywardness ? God loves and welcomes the Jews with open arms thru the blood of Jesus Christ ... just as we all would. You dispensationalists can worry about the land. The rest of us will concern ourselves with Christ's gospel.

Read your bible... God's chosen people have ALWAYS been the children of promise... not God hating Jews.
so the Lords chosen are the Christians and not the Jews?
