There is no way I can accept that our God looked like that. I just can't lol. It could be true that he did look like that though, I can't disprove it.
Why not? You think he really looked like Peter Frampton?

That's how men looked in that part of the world.. and still do.

Perhaps the most accurate depiction I've seen of what Jesus probably looked like, in a movie, was in the movie "Risen"...

1 Corinthians 11:14 - Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

I don't get it.. A lot of the time people that share their testimony say they encounter Jesus and say He has long hair usually around shoulder-length.. I've heard a good amount of people say that so I doubt every single one of them is lying. Is this verse really translated in English correctly? All the drawn pictures of Jesus from waaayyy back in time have Him with long hair. Did they really draw Him like that for no reason? In nature, a lion has a mane (long hair) and a lioness doesn't. We all know God represents Himself as a lion.
I believe it means that,if a man has long hair it is a shame to him,for nature teaches him that, and he should have short hair for he is in the image of God.

It means hair for the same book and chapter that hair is given to a woman for her glory, and if she cut it at all it would be the same as if she were shaven.

So hair applies to both a man and a woman in that book and chapter, and not in a symbolic way, which it appears as if God wants a distinction between the man and a woman, which the closer we get to Jesus coming back the distinction is not so clear as it once was.

Jesus came in the image of God so it would seem as if He had short hair.

Nature teaches that long hair on a man is a shame to him, which even the natural realm testifies against long hair on a man.

The Bible is saying hair, and the covering for the woman is saying plainly hair, for it is her glory, and because of the angels, which it is not saying a veil or some other covering.

I can get you an appointment with my barber. How about Saturday, December 24, at 8:20? I'll be getting my haircut at 8:40. I'll get there early and we'll discuss the news.
Me, waking up before 9 AM? lol I don't think that's possible for me my brother. I hope your hair looks fresh though.

Honestly I think God is the most beautiful looking person there is. I believe Jesus has long hair, and is very good looking. I think when He was on earth He wasn't so attractive, but now that He's in heaven He's good looking again. I'm not 100% sure on that. That is just my opinion, based off what I've heard other people say about Him when being in His presence. I just don't believe God looks uglier than the hell-bound sinners I see on the streets.

Good answer. It could be very possible Jesus had short hair. I've heard brothers and sisters say Jesus had long hair when He revealed Himself to them. I heard that more than someone saying He has short hair. But I won't truly believe what anyone says about Jesus' looks until I see Him for myself.

I think it looks okay. I instruct him to use a #2 blade on the sides and back and a #1 blade on top, where there isn't much hair left. And of course he does a taper cut at the back of my neck. Tell your barber to do the same (except for the top).

my barber at the moment is my dad so I don't have to tell him anything he just cuts it. When I get it cut it should look something like this

Paul is telling them to learn to make proper judgements about trivial matters, first He explains why a woman should have a covering as in nature giving a woman longer hair as a symbol of authority because "woman was made as a help meet to man because it wasnt good for Him to be alone" but notice the last verse v 16

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 11Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. 16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have NO SUCH CUSTOM, neither the CHURCHES OF GOD."

the corinthians seem to have been contentious over many things arguing and dividing themselves over things like whether its ok to have long hair as a man and things like that, Hes saying jusdge for yourselves those things because there is no set custom amoing the church. if a man has long hair and thinks its a sin, then for Him it is sin because it plaugues His conscience, on the other hand if a man doesnt believe its a sin, then He has a clear conscience. this isnt to be applied to doctrine, but trivial things like length of hair. .

I would agree long hair is not the issue .The issue is whether or not it is covered or uncovered. In the end it represents the unseen glory of God as the only glory seen when families gather together. .

That half of the one ordinance as part of the reformed government has all but been removed. Dismissed as a fashion statement for the time present. Therefore no sign for the angels that long to look in salvation matters. The porpoise of it to begin with.

1Co 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

We are simply missing a beautiful parable.

The two ceremonial ordinances that were used where designed to work together. The hair covering of a woman and no covering for a man was designed to worked together. It made up the new reformed order. Drinking the cup of the Lord ’s Supper the second portion of that ceremonial law. It reminds us of the wedding supper in our new incorruptible bodies. The two male and female will become one new creature.

It would seem today the covering, ordinance used to indicate the unseen glory of God has been made all but extinct.

In Revelation the god of this world mimics the new order which again was designed to protect His hidden glory. Satan the spirit of error is shown in Revelation coming in full glory ready for battle in an attempt to make the hidden glory of God to no effect. As the father of lies, signature .

He is shown coming in full glory in rebellion to God having the face of a man and the uncovered hair of a woman.

And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. Rev 9:10

It would seem it is the goal of the father of lies, the mimicker to remove all distinctions as discrimination between a man and a woman and is picking up speed, mimicking what we will be as in our new bodies, as if it had already occurred.

i do also lol. i thoink sometimes as a whole we forget that sin is not universal in the new covenant, but rather between the believer, and the Lord, and His word works through our conscience as it searches our hearts and minds as Hebrews says " it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart" sometimes we forget that paul taught " when a man Knows what is rightm and doesnt do it, then to him it is sin" and also " whatever does not come from faith, is sin" faith again is something that is personal and comes from within us through the word. One person may not understand the same as another whos been at it longer, and we are each held to our own standard of Knowledge, faith and conscience. we sometimes revert to the old covenant mindset thinking " if i cant have Long hair, im supposed to condemn the other Guy for having long hair" but thank God we are not, because i have enough of a handful monitoring my own deficiences in Living up to the gospel, and im glad Jesus instructs us firt to make sure were in Line, before we go correcting the other guy on His Life. << I believe this is designed so that no one will ever Judge the other Guy, maybe not but ive spoent years and years in the gospel and each day i study it, i find another thing to work on in myself.

I would suggest its not about long hair but is about the new order for gathering together. It is about the only glory that should be presence is the unseen glory of God.

Man used to represent the unseen glory of God must not cover his head.

1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

Woman being the glory of man used to represent the same unseen glory of God is not left without a representative our her own . The hair head must be covered.

I believe it about glory and the covering of it. If a woman does not cover her glory she is to shave her head, leaving her self naked to represent a guilt offering.

When Adam and Eve gloried in the flesh of a creature (serpent),through the voice of another the glory of God departed..

A shaved head is a symbol of nakedness before God. .

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

In that way we are to make no provision for the flesh. Making their own covering did not restore the unseen glory of God.

That's what your ego thinks. Egos are often wrong, though.
Believe me dude I'm the type of person that doesn't look good with super short hair because of the shape of my head. My head isn't huge or anything but I just look better with longer hair.

Woah that sounds insane. Makes sense though.
