We who are counted righteous through the gift of grace through Jesus Christ
believing that He lived and died and was raised again to pay for our sins have no need to sin any longer.

Jesus has made us a new creature, no longer needing to give in to lust or other earthly desires.

"Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou has delivered thy soul." Ezekiel 3;21

Pray that we do not unnecessarily sin, and be in sin when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ returns

May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be ever in our hearts, minds and His Holy Spirit in our souls,
in Jesus name Amen.

Love in Jesus Brothers and Sisters

[SUP]11 [/SUP] So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

I never sin intentionally because I want to live out the life of Christ in me, but I find that because I'm still of the flesh in many ways, I will always fall short of being perfectly blameless. That is why God's "mercy follows me all the days of my life". I would have no need of his mercy if I was sinless. And especially a daily dose of his mercy.

And as stated by Lance, Jesus provided my perfect righteousness to have access to the Father and receive life. He gave me His.

People who work so hard on being perfect miss the entire sacrificial gift that Christ gave his life for. They discredit the work done on the cross. And they will always be disappointed in themselves.

ALL people Sin even if your saved by the blood of Jesus you still sin and will sin until the day of reckoning we are humans and that is what humans do we sin.... SO even the most holly person in the world sins. We many try not to sin but we do.. We all have fallen short of the glory of God. Anyone trying to find a good solid secure sure way into heaven that is fool proof is wasting time. If there was such knowledge everyone would use it in the last days to become one with Jesus. The fact is that the bible say through faith we are saved... we can not be saved with out having faith In Jesus first and foremost. We still also have to live life according to God and follow the commandments do not sin as much as possible and when we do sin we have to repent. We will not get to heaven by the works we do but the faith we have. So even the most holly person can go out everyday and feed the hungry and give money to the poor and do all kinds of wonderful things but if he is trying to be saved by doing just good deeds he is a fool.. It takes all of the teachings of God in the word to help get you to heaven. there is not one magic way it is all ways.SO read the bible pray for your sins do good deeds and have faith that Jesus has died to save your soul.

Christians DO sin. But that statement alone causes more harm than good.

Christians do fall into sin due to the lusts of our corrupted flesh. That said, Christians are NOT to be living in sin, habitual sin.

The KJV doesn't distinguish between a single sin & a continous sin. The word can be singular & plural, thus the problems with some saying they don't sin(plural), & others saying they sin(singular) every day.

Folks hate checking Greek & Greek grammar, & that's why the debate persists.

Paul states he sins, but it's not his heart's desire.

Rom. 7:14For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. 15For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. 16But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. 17So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 18For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 21I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

It's hard to understand, I know, but Paul is admitting he deals with sin like every christian does, but his desire is to serve & please God.

He is able to serve God that way because the real sin issue is in the heart, & not the letter of the law. In other words, the same day he thru the Spirit healed someone, he could have sinned that day as well.

This is where Grace really has it's place in our lives..... we find favor as our heart seeks Him & His will.

This gives volumes of meaning to "Seek ye first 1) the kingdom of God, & 2) His righteousness, & all of these things shall be added unto you."

We are more than conquerors when we seek the Lord in our hearts FIRST, instead of sin. When Jesus is first in our seeking, the power of sin fades away from us. Outta sight (seeking), outta mind.:)

actually read what you posted concerning Romans 7. because what you are suggesting is that Paul is a slave to sin and is not delivered by Christ.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

If you continue to read into chapter 8 you will find he is actually free from the law of sin in which he was in bondage in chapter 7.

You points make Jesus a saviour who can not save. Is that what we have? Is Jesus unable to save us from sin? Is his power insufficient? Is He unwilling? was His death and resurrection not enough?

Or do you lack faith in his promises? There are plenty promises which are all yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Why not come into faith and be like Abraham who did not consider his weaknesses but trusted in the promises of God.

This thread about sin and righteousness badly needs this verse ...

Romans 6:[SUP]
16 [/SUP]
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey,
you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,
whether (slaves) of sin leading to death,
or (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness?

But, it will be soundly and roundly ignored by people in the church
who preach the false gospel of free grace without any responsibility
to overcome (get rid of) their sin.
