(And I didn't want to freak him out with a hubba hubba from a 60 year old. I'm glad you young'ns are fixing that. LOL)
naw you wouldn't freak me out lol in all honesty even though I hate anything being about me it really helped to mend the inner wounds and scars inside me to hear people actually say I was good looking not just to be nice but actually think I was.

I have been hurt pretty severely from all the making fun of how i look and sadly those wounds are far and deep

It is more purple pinkish at the moment, my hair dressers seems to have started using
a different shade on the roots. I don't think she has realised it.

Psst I'm completely white under all that hair dye.
you know pale or really white skin can be used to your advantage red lipstick and also purple lipstick goes amazing on that kind of skin so does black and purple eye shadow in fact a lot of clothing styles mix well with that kind of skin. I grew up in a family of women so sadly I am very good at this kind of stuff lol

Miri the Beautiful.

i'd post a pic, but the system won't let me.

so we'll say how lovely i am anyway. lol
No knowledge of how to take a selfie with my cell phone, (hey, I'm updated enough to know the phone takes pictures, but I still have to take out the instructions to turn it on lol), so me just whipping up a picture of me isn't easy.

When John was gone so long, I really hated that we spent so many years avoiding getting our pictures taken. That's something that's changed. From now on, we take pictures of each other.

Except, our house really is embarrassing still, so only outside shots.

We now have two pictures of us that are newer than 5 years old. And, since I can't take a selfie, John took a selfie of us. Here's our other this-year photo. Our entire selection of recent photos with us in them.

I hated how I looked for years and years. It came from being mixed race in a
school of white kids. It's why I have a nice, just right, suntan.

I hated that sun tan as a kid though.

lol mom genes do make a big difference but I have never been called drop dead gorgeous before I always thought I was ugly lol
No. Ugly is the guy with the eyeball peeking through. lol

(I hope this doesn't creep you out, but I'd give you a sturdy 7 on looks. Definitely enough that ladies your age are checking you out. Not enough that you can get conceited, but you don't seem the type who gets conceited anyway.)

Lynn, this will sound weird (shocker!) but one of the things i like about you is your smile.

i'm not all about perfect teeth, and think it's cool how God makes them grow just so.

my youngest has a little overlap between the lateral incisor and the canine on one side, and she asked the dentist (a Christian) if she should have it fixed.

he went into the house and brought out his wife, who has the same smile.
then he said, 'what do you think i'll say to that, Caroline? isn't my Anna beautiful?'

Shush don't go telling everyone I have a four pack, how did you know anyway. Lol

Its all that saxophone playing it firms up the jaw line and the stomach muscles cos you
have to squeeze them muscles to force the air out!
That's how I know. I listen when you talk. (That, and I enjoy imagining the difference between a four-pack and a six-pack. lol)

I never knew why he chose the username ugly. And no it doesn't creep me outXD buuuuuut any girl my age thinks i am 14 all the girls who ask me out are around that age but I tell them sorry my heart was stolen already lol.
as for getting conceited I highly doubt it, pride is something I stay far away from I fear it ever creeping into my heart I would rather see myself as a lowly ugly worm and never know or realize who i am in fathers eyes than to allow any kind of pride into me

That's why I posted this in the first place. Me thinking I'm anything but (insert half a dozen negative words to describe self) is beyond my capacity. And yet, God calls me "beloved," "all fair," and "without a spot."

Anyone but God says that, and I don't believe it. I have trouble imagining it even when he did say it. But he said it, so it must be true. Sometimes we have to see through his eyes. I stare at me and I see flaws. He stares at me, and he sees "That's my baby girl. The apple of my eye." Hard to believe.

Actually ugly isn't really ugly at all - for me it's the bald man thingy again.

Shush don't tell anyone but there is a big bruiser of a guy in my church, he must be
at least 6" 6'. He works with young offenders when they come out of prison
to keep them in line. He is bald as well and he plays the saxophone! I even gave him
a few lessons and tips at one point...... well .... if.....only... :D sigh...

Doubly funny. We didn't have the money to get our teeth fixed. So, we kept them as long as they lasted. I have always loved how easily John laughs. He never stopped even after losing some of his teeth. He taught me to laugh without worrying what others might think of our mouths.

Then he wasn't even fully awake when the ICU doctors told us he had to have his teeth taken out, so no infection would hurt his new valve. We were thrilled, because it takes three months after teeth are removed before adding dentures. How does anyone eat for those three months? He couldn't eat anyway, so not a problem. (And that was the first decision he made on his own behalf.)

And Dad had sent us a check last year for Christmas early, knowing his check is usually what we use for Christmas presents. So, Dad sent us just enough money (along with our savings) to afford John good dentures when the time came.

So that picture? That's also John showing off his new choppers. And my teeth? They fit better now because I lost two canine teeth on the right side. I'm missing two teeth, but the reason they're gone is because they moved out front, so you can't tell. (My wisdom teeth all became impacted when they came in, so couldn't be removed before they damaged the rest of the mouth. I also have since lost five teeth back there, including three of them, so no big damage yet.) Only someone who knows teeth would notice what's missing. lol

Boy! Many girls your age can need glasses. Good thing THE girl you love gets the difference between a teenager and a 20-something.

As for what God knows -- no matter what we think of ourselves, we're supposed to see us as God does. I look forward to the day I really do.

Ah man! You're one of the few on here that I had a rough idea of what you looked like. When did you go redhead? (And why aren't you showing off your four-pack? lol)
I've seen miri posted that pic before. She looks fragile but I think she is tougher than she looks. You look really tough. But they say looks are deceiving. You must have some fragile bones too. :)
