Have you found your purpose in life... You have received Christ, but----do you know where you fit? Of course our main purpose is to be conformed to the image of Christ... Have we made our calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:10)...

It would appear that I follow along the line of John the Baptist... I'll spend my days wandering the desert eating bugs until I have my one defining moment, and then am quickly offed for the amusement of others.

I figured out where I fit in, by where I was spiritually gifted to be used. For 15 years that was in the Prison Ministry to Maximum Security Inmates. Where I was NOT spiritually gifted, was when I attempted to teach Junior High Sunday School. . . . . . and I tried it twice at two different Churches, with extremely poor results both times. But the Inmates found my sermons interesting and very understandable, and several even asked for extra copies of my sermon notes to send home to their Mom and Dad or their spouse. Believe me, it was Lord working through me as I ministered to them, it certainly was not me. When I tried to minister to the youth, I was totally on my own, and I bored them to tears.

So I would say, find what HE has gifted you spiritually to do, and you automatically find where you fit in.

The Lord reveals his plans for us when he is ready to do so. We need to obey his commandments.

I didn't truly understand my purpose not just as a believer but as a person in general until this last year and he revealed it to me in time not when I wanted it. But when I first became a Christian the first and best advice he ever gave me was seek love above all else and then everything else will fall into place in taking and following his advice he was more than true to his word

I think our purpose here is to overcome the world.

My purpose in life is to point Ricky to the best bugs.

The time it takes to argue and fuss with people----we could have gotten closer to Christ...

I think we are called to bear fruit and be filled with the holy spirit, be the salt of the earth and light of the world.

I thought that was what we were doing. There is nothing wrong with good humored fellowship.

The purpose of every human life is to please God, but no, I have been simply surviving instead of living. I don't know where I fit in. My goal is to get all my goals done, then find out where my string fits in a rug of grand design.

I'm getting there. Finding a more specific purpose. For all of generally its to know and experience God in our lives and to have him permeate every aspect of our lives. He wants us to be more and more like His Son about whom he said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Specifically from person to person? I believe God has a much more detailed and personal purpose for me. The fact that He has given me different gifts to others, gifts that I am finally embracing. He has intentionally placed me in my specific family and community. Everything He does is deliberate. He never lets things just happen and then say, "Oh! Hadn't expected that. Still....it should work out." He leaves nothing to chance. In my local church, that purpose (for this season of my life) is fairly clear. In other areas of my life, I am still getting more clarity from Him. As long as I humbly walk with Him, He will reveal more to me.

Ephesian 2:10 " For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Ask the Lord every day "where do I fit in"----- He will probably speak to you within a month...
