I have a dog, I've had many dogs but I could care less if they aren't in heaven. Heaven will not be the less because my dogs aren't there.
Heaven does not need animals.

Animals need heaven.

I believe animals can go to heaven, although I have found most Christians disagree. I actually heard on TV that it was a basic Christian belief that animals don't have a soul and can't enter into heaven. Just wanted to hear your thoughts.
So Were Animals given a soul and thus a knowledge between right and wrong ? If not, they need not be reborn. In the new Jerusalem and new Earth, I see God as creating new bodies for His sleeping animals to lie in. Just a guess. But all life comes forth from God.

No matter what is said, there will literally be others who do not agree. No matter what someone is about to say in biblical matters, we are wrong. How do I know this? We are constantly learning. We change how we think like we change clothes; which by the way is also found in more than one parable language. For instance; Biblically speaking Christians are at times referred to as sheep or lambs. Biblically speaking we are also spoken of as fish. In Old Testament law we are referred to as donkey, the foal of a donkey...and the list goes on. It isn't the creature the law is referring to; it is the nature of the creature 'according to each kind'. These natures are found in each and every one of us; and according to law we are to have dominion over these natures. Jesus came to fulfill both law and words of the prophets; and this is why you see these spoken of in the New Testament. When Jesus spoke of separating the goats from the sheep; was He talking about animals or is He talking about you? I know this seems like the long way around, but if you consider this, you might understand that there is some validity to your question.

On the first destruction of the earth by great flood, Noah's ark is occupied by eight people and gazillion animals. How is it that the quantity of animals are greater than that of people on board? Does these not speak that God loves animals also because we love them especially our pet dogs and cats? Therefore the are animals in heaven :)

1Cor15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption
Kingdom of God is in heaven.

Ecc12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it

One should be sent to the earth by God first then they had opportunity back to heaven.
Only the spirit of men that God sent , ( known as: children of God, God's people ,sojourning men, strangers and pilgrims on the earth ).

1Pet1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear

Heb11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth

John1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

I used to think that, but the Bible says both man and beast will give an account for taking human life. They are not made in God's image as we are, but that is also true of angels and demons- which are beings.

Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Ecc 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

The spirit of people go upward, but the spirit of the animal goes downward, which there will be no animals in heaven.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

The old earth and old heaven will pass away, and there will be a new earth and new heaven, the New Jerusalem, which the former earth and heaven will not be remembered, nor come to mind.

1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Out of faith, hope, and charity(love in action),charity is the greatest, for faith and hope are not needed in heaven, only on earth, but charity will go on forever, which charity is the only thing on this earth that we will have for eternity, and nothing else from this world will we remember,or come to mind, including our pets, and animals. We will remember nothing concerning earth, but love will go on forever, but we will not remember loving on earth, for in the New Jerusalem we will feel we have always been there, and nowhere else.

Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

In heaven there is no gender, for the only thing that separates a man and a woman is the flesh, the soul and spirit are the same, and we will put off the flesh, and since we will not remember anything associated with earth we will not even remember being married, and we will not remember our pets, and we will not even know each other as we existed on earth, parents, sons, daughters, friends,we will not remember anyone that we knew on earth, for the former earth shall not be remembered, nor come to mind, but in the New Jerusalem we will feel as if we have always been there, and nowhere else, but we will feel like we know each other spiritually being with God,having the Spirit for eternity, that connection, and being with God,and will feel like it has always been like that.

When we are at the New Jerusalem it will be a situation like when God created the angels, poof, and they were there with no past history,so when the saints are translated to the New Jerusalem it will be,poof, and they are there with no past history, for they will remember nothing in the past, not their family, not their friends, and not their pets, for they will not know each other according to their relationship they had on earth, and the flesh is put off,and they have glorified bodies,so they will only know each other in a spiritual atmosphere where everybody is related to each other, and will not remember each other according to their relationship in the flesh on earth.

And also we do not need to have the company of pets and animals in the New Jerusalem, and an animal does not get the benefit of a spiritual life.

Some people might still argue,oh we will know each other according to the flesh on earth, but we will not,for nothing prior to the New Jerusalem will be remembered, and we are spiritual so we will only know each other on that level, and not remember who are family, and friends were on earth, which I do not believe the angels that stayed with God will remember anything prior to the New Jerusalem, but all will be fresh and start from that point,no sin,no rebellion, forever, and that is all the saints and angels will know, and nothing else, and the New Jerusalem is a place where sin has never been, and sin will never be,and rebellion will never come up again, for to remember prior to the New Jerusalem would be bringing up the sin that was associated with the earth, and the angels rebellion,so it shall not enter their mind.

Mark 16:15, Colossians 1:23. What would be the purpose of preaching to every living creature? Just think if when we tell a critter Jesus loves them, they could go tell their friends. The Word does say they will be on His Holy Mountain, living and loving. i can't answer yes or no, but it would be nice.

How animals factor into eternity is something scripture appears to be silent on. Some animals resemble angels. Descriptions of heaven appear to include animal life either symbolically or literally.

How our earthly pets and the like fit in is something we usually fight on extrabiblical grounds. I like to think that our pets do reunite with us in the great beyond, but there is no way for me to prove this.
We lost our nine year old Pug Lexie this last Friday and I want you to be oh so right. We have bawled our eyes out over losing her.

God is a good God. He cares about all His creation, even about the smallest sparrows.

Therefore we can have a good hope He is not loosing them in vanity when they die.

We are putting our 12.5 year old Golden doodle Mollie down later today.

Whole house has been forlorn for over a week now. Would appreciate uplifting prayer.
Thanks

We can ask Father about every good gift.

We can ask about our animals to be fine after death.

We are their masters so I think we have this authority to ask about them.

If animals dont go to Heaven, how is Jesus going to return in the clouds with horses?

My grandmother was upset when one of her animals had died. She asked God if they went to heaven and she received a vision of Jesus Christ in Heaven holding every animal she ever had!

I think Jesus speaking of the Father knowing when a sparrow dies, it shows how He knows every little detail that transpires. For something that even the poor can afford to buy, that when it dies He knows about it, shows His omniscience.

The Saducees came to Jesus telling them about seven brothers that each married the same woman. The eldest died and having left her with any children, they did according to the law of Moses. Actually, if they truly knew God's word, they should have known of Onan and Er in the Genesis account. But, Jesus told them that in heaven there will be no marriage, no male or female. So, if Lexie was there, seeing my wife is lost at this time(please pray for her salvation), by Lexie being there with us, wouldn't that teeter upon us being married and her our pet?

If God does not want animals in heaven then why did He create them in the first place? I guess for our own personal amusement and also so that we could eat them. If God is anti-animal I wonder why He just didn't leave them off the ark in the flood.
