As regards the Gospel they are enemies of God for your sakes, as regards the election (Rom 11.7) they are beloved for the fathers' sakes (Rom 11.28)

I agree that Evangelicals have it wrong because they confuse the present state of Israel with the future Millennial kingdom ruled by Christ. They seem to think present Israel is somehow going to develop into the Millennial kingdom by human effort/political will. Where we differ is that I believe that God not Satan is the driving force behind the creation of modern Israel but his plans involve judgement not blessing. One only needs to read Zechariah to realize that. Besides that where else in the Bible do you find the Jews returning to the land in unbelief and rebellion against God. Does anyone think God is pleased that Israel is ruled by people who reject Christ his Messiah and Savior? Gods plan is to place Israel in such a desperate situation that when Christ returns a remnant will finally accept him and form his Millennial kingdom.

What many on this site fail to understand is that Israel is back in the land now it is to prepare them for judgement by God and to bring the population to a position that they will be on their knees begging him to save them. That is the one and only reason they are back in the land.

All the promises concerning Israel are fulfilled after Christs return not now as it seems some people think. It is important to realise this because as things get worse for Israel many may start lose hope because they are depending on God to fulfill all the promises this side of the second coming and its not going to happen.

Tanakh...I have tried time and time again to bring you to the truth but for some reason you will not budge. What you are talking about has already happened prior to 70AD. However, there is more to happen. Luke tells us about the past and Matthew tells us about the future. I really do not understand how you can disregard prophecies yet to come. To say they will not happen is calling GOD a Liar or worse? I wish there was someway I could change your mind but it appears the answer to that is NO.

Blessings to you BladeRunner! This is not directed at you, for I know that you have the truth. But I'm using your post here which is directed to those who oppose the truth.

I would add to that by saying, those who are not looking for the blessed hope, but instead are looking for the wrath of God, are not truly trusting in the Lord's promise.

It seems that there is an underlying principal here in that, Jesus experienced and satisfied God's wrath on behalf of all believers. And therefore, those who are believing that the Lord is going to put his church through his wrath first are not truly believing that Christ suffered wrath on our behalf. Otherwise, why would they believe that we must go through God's wrath before being gathered?

It also reveals that, many do not understand the purpose of God's coming, unprecedented wrath nor the severity and magnitude of it. It is not going to be a walk in the park! During that time no one will have to ask "Is the wrath of God here," for it will be all to frighteningly apparent.

All of those preterists and Amills who believe that all end-time events have already taken place, as well as those who have allegorized/symbolized those events, won't they be surprised when the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments begin to literally take place.

I've said it many times, if the church was to go through God's wrath, it would not be a blessed hope, nor could believers comfort one another about being gathered. What would be the difference if the church was to suffer the same fate as those on the earth who have rejected Christ and have continued living according to the sinful nature? For in that case, both righteous and unrighteous would suffer the same wrath. God does not punish the righteous with the wicked.

The Bridegroom is not going to prepare his bride and then send her through his wrath!
