Just a question, does anyone know why God can't enter this world directly, he always does his work through other people. Even in the old testament, God always told them exactly what to say, or needed them to perform some kind of action before God could interfere with the world.

Like Moses for example had to hold up his staff the whole time.

Ezeikiel had to lie on his side

Etc.. etc..

Nevermind i think answer came to me, has something to do with free will, God can't interfere directly or it would break the law of free will.

God links an event to an action, so that person still has a choice weither or not to allow God to do his work. Hence free will isn't broken.

I wonder if thats why we are told to pray so much, because if we don't ask for it, God will be interfering with free will.

sure He did! :)

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’” (Jn 1:14-15)

thanks be to God, Who interferes directly all the time. ;)

can you show me this 'law of free will' in scripture?

Well, I can think of numerous examples where he did not use people to work His will....

1. Using the Ravens to feed Elijah
2. Using the Whale to swallow Jonah
3. Using his own hand and finger to write the 10 commandments
4. Using his own hand to write on the wall the night the Babylonian Kingdom fell
5. Using the donkey to speak "Balaam"
6. Numerous times that he used Angels
7. When he put Moses in the cleft of the rock and passed by Moses
8. At least one encounter with Abraham (it seemed to be God based upon the fact there were 3)

Just saying that there seem to be many examples where he did not use men to work his will

Im at work, i'll look into the rest further when i get back, but just an example from Elijah, does show that there was still choice involved that he be fed and have water.

Then a message came to Elijah from the Lord. He said, 3 “Leave this place. Go east and hide in the Kerith Valley. It is east of the Jordan River. 4 You will drink water from the brook. I have directed some ravens to supply you with food there.”

5 So Elijah did what the Lord had told him to do. He went to the Kerith Valley

God told him what to do, still a choice involved either to listen and do what he said or not.

Here is another in acts
Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before.

See how a choice is involved, he told them not to leave untill they get the gift. They had a choice of free will, they could choose to leave or not.

I'll look into the rest later and see if choice was involved.

Here Moses and the commandments

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people."

See choice still involved before God could do his work and give him the commandments

God's hand is seen in nature so that unbelievers are without excuse. God does not require any assistance from man. The sun rises according to the will of God. The rain falls upon the good and the evil alike.

Two kinds of revelation: The word of God and all of nature.

Romans chapter one reveals Gods revelation in nature.

Im not saying he needs mans assistance, nature doesn't have free will does it?

God gave man free will, he can't do anything with man unless it is through a choice.

Hence be baptized and receive the gift of the holy spirit, again a choice.

He could of chosen not to help us at all or give us any gifts or blessings, but in his wisdom he found a way to give them to us through choice.

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3)

Again a choice and a way for God to bring his blessing to the world through Israel.

Faith pleases GOD,GOD loves righteousness and truth and because of the fall man became carnal,JESUS said that words he spoke were Spirit and Life.

GOD gave dominion of the earth to man but man chose to do his own thing and creation under mans dominion, fell.

GOD Is sovereign and could have taken power Immediately from the devil that adam handed over to him but GOD loves righteousness and truth so then the WORD of GOD was sent to earth and became flesh, the messiah(JESUS) and fulfilled GOD's perfect standard of righteousness,JESUS Is the ONLY way the truth and the life.

sidenote:IMO,the reason the demons were saying that they knew who JESUS was,was because they knew It would not be righteous If GOD were to Intefere with mans choice but JESUS entered the gate the right way, fully GOD but also fully man.

GOD's will be done.
amen.

God came to earth once, in the person of Jesus Christ, and he was murdered. That might have something to do with why we don't see a lot of him.

But the Lord doesn't need people to accomplish his aims. He does want us to learn how to do things, so he'll have us do things for him. We feel much better about ourselves when we are helpful.

Jesus Christ was NOT murdered. He chose freely to give His life as payment for us. He will use those who are obediant when necessary and there is always someone........

So it's not because God can't but because he chooses to let man choose?

The short response to this is, "God can"... as in... can do what He chooses to do. The longer response is of course more complex...

In the early chapters of Exodus, it says both that Pharaoh hardened his heart, and that God hardened his heart. There are examples in Scripture where God acted directly (earthquakes, plagues; Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5) and where He used human agents (prophets, judges, etc.).

There appears to be some degree of human agency, such that some people could reject "the love of the truth" but there is also God's sovereign choice, such that "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated". Perhaps if you could explain more fully what concerns you, it would be easier to provide an adequate response. I will confirm that the Bible has no "law of free will" though. :)

I see what you mean ,If a person killed someone maliciously then man would say, they murdered him but GOD Is a Spirit and the words that HE spoke were Spirit and Life,HE prepared a body for HIS WORD that was manifested In the flesh.

John 10:17-18
King James version(KJV)

17.)Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18.)No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

God CAN do all. But his presence would kill us. Sin cannot be in his presence. When Moses met God he aged. Theres your answer.
