Let's see..... you're the only one arguing, you don't know what you're talking about(again), & you're still here. Oh, & that pic.....

Guess who we're not taking seriously?
A. She's not the only one arguing.
B. Don't say "we," because you don't represent everyone.
C. I really don't take Spurgency seriously.
D. I am fairly serious at the moment. (I can't take this thread too seriously, since absolutely no one has come up with any solid reason to disagree with "Calvinism" though.)

If only this warning came to me earlier in life.

I may have run away from my parents and not become a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The shame. The shame!!!!
Did you get a good chuckle out of Spurgeoncy liking what you wrote too? :))

God skipped predestined for someone? So, he's sorta presdestiny when he feels like it, but not when he doesn't? Not very godlike to be wishy-washy, two-faced, inept.
Into the holiday nog a little early?

Probably too much to ask that you attempt to make sense. Guess I should have known you would say that.

What did the Calvinist say after he fell down the steps and broke his arm? Phew I'm glad that over.

Remember this about predestination, & you'll never go wrong.....

God has a pre-destined plan for man, not a pre-destined man for His plan.

Even Jesus said that "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath."
When predestination relates to the Sabbath, I'll be sure to remember that.

Someone said this earlier in the thread, and I believe this sums up perfectly what Calvinism is... If everyone is already predestined in where they are going, then sharing sharing the Word is a waste of time. What good is it going to do to minister to a nonbeliever and see the joy on his or her face when he or she becomes born again, only to later find out, "Nope. God only chooses a select few that repent of their old ways, and follow Him into their new ones. You'll just have to stay the rest of your time on Earth thinking what hell will be like"? I used to be part of a Calvinistic church, and (although there were some great people) I never felt comfortable attending. A few years later, I can see how it can twist a person's mind and have the person constantly wonder if God chose or even wants him/her.

Did Adam have a choice to sin or not to sin? Did God make Adam sin? Did God make Eve sin?

I'd much rather choose Spurgeon than Prince..... At least Spurgeon stated absolutes & stood on them. Prince states one-verse doctrines & lets his people stand for him.
There'll be more of them. You'll live. :)

*ignores your problem with my pic, obviously you don't like the idea of an HG being an angel :p*

I think you're mistaking me for someone else. I don't even remember having a discussion with you, other than the HG threads. No, wait, if it's resentment from those discussions, it's bad for you. Let it go. Let it go.

Oh and if you mean "we" as in you and spurgeoncy, then, I'll live, obviously.

Oh yes, I'm still here. It's rather impolite to not answer sincere questions, isn't it?

As for your old church? Not very reformed. We don't wonder. God spoke. He made promises. He also said who he wanted, (and got), often enough it's not a problem. We learn to trust him through him. Any wondering done is aimed at others.

Was Adam predestined in the garden? Why would God create a race of people that God knew would fall?

For the cause of Christ
Roger
GOD loves righteousness,GOD gave man dominion of the earth so then man could do what he wanted to do with the dominion over the earth but although GOD knew man would fall,HE made a way for man to have a relationship with HIM without the sin that adam had,JESUS would shed HIS blood and die on a cross to redeem man from the foundation of the world.GOD made a way for man.

HIS will be done.

Yup! Because you made up your mind before even learning anything. I got that loud and clear by the title. (Because nothing says "I'm pleasant" like calling people you don't know "heretics.")

What do you want exactly?

I am happy to talk with you, and I am only joking about your pink persona
