So taking my grandson home today I had to stop for a bucket of this nectar of the gods. (One of potters weaknesses).
So I'm in line when this young lady greets me with. Merry Chris.....she had a frightened look on here face.
Happy holidays she says may I take your order? I asked her what happened to merry Christmas?
With a lower less thrilled voice she said the management instructed all employees to greet all customers like that "happy holidays". As some might take offence in Christmas.
I asked her if she celebrated Christmas as celebrating Christ birth or as a saint Nick holiday?
In even a lower tone she told me :Jesus's birth". In which I replied if I said happy Ramadan would that be offensive to her?
Not at all she said. With that I said say merry Christmas then. Let it be for her the reason for the season.
She smiled and said as I left merry Christmas to you sir.

My wife was instructed to greet customers with happy holidays as well.

She's not too good with instruction in general. Especially if it doesn't make sense or goes against her belief.

She told management that no one has the right to be more offended than someone else based on their beliefs. She said that she's a Christian and this is Christmas and she is offended that she's not allowed to wish people merry Christmas.

So she is out there wishing everyone a merry Christmas...

If they knew her a little better they should have told her she wasn't allowed to say happy holidays...lol

Yes, it is offensive to Christians to be instructed to take Christ out of Christmas. The PC thought police have been working at knocking the church down for quite some time. It is a bit daunting to see how much headway they have made in such a short time. But we know who wins in the end! Hallelujah!!! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
