Nope, if we sin we condemn ourselves. Jesus is the solution (God's Word). Sin is the transgression of God's Law (1John 3:4)

that's not good news, because we all sin and fall short of the glory of God

The good news is God had a plan of redemption, that plan was the cross. And was seen all the way back in gen 3.

Oh my goodness... 1000 pages of this

EG it is good new because Jesus did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. We do not know what sin is without God's Law (1John 3:4; Rom 3:20; 7:7). That is why we must live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God

God bless

I believe He sends His kids to do it but He also prepares the way beforehand. He sends dreams and other signs to those He calls to himself.

Some people think it's all them and don't see how God has already done so much in the lives of all God sends us to speak with.

We may just plant a seed and never see it grow.another may come and water the thoughts. Another help clear the rocks. Another help weed the thorns. Another chase away the demons. However all is done by God's design and direction. To God the glory and the increase.

The firstfruitis being born again by the Holy spirit after a verbal confession of true saving faith rooted in the gospel of Christ.

and it is all based on the seed.

if the person receives the true seed, and it is planted, it will be firmly rooted

If the person receives a seed mostly true, but tainted, and trusts that seed, It will not be firmly rooted.

If a person receives a seed which is corrupted. and they receive it in faith, the seed will blow away before it gets placed.

If a person receives a completely false seed, and they trust it instead of the true seed, the seed will die.

It is not good news, if you have to fulfill the law to be saved, that was my point, If even after your saved, sin causes you to die, and need to be resaved again, it is not good news.

The good news is that the law condmns, But jesus saves. so that the law can never condemn you again.

My friend no one is asking you to do the Law to be saved. Did you know we are saved by faith?

No I am fighting it because it's wrong. The only person who can place the Seed in the heart of humanity is God.

We sow the message or the "word of the kingdom". We do NOT sow JESUS himself. That happens when people are given the Holy Spirit, which happens after the MESSAGE or the Gospel has been sowed in fertile soil that brings forth FRUIT. THE FIRST FRUIT IS A SAVING FAITH IN JESUS.

Mixing scriptures and metaphors doesn't prove anything but bad hermeneutics.

Yes Jesus is the Word and the Seed of Abraham. However We can look at many parables and see that the "seed" revered to in them doesn't always refer to Jesus Himself.

I can give you a few obvious examples.
I am not mixing metaphors, I showed the definition of the word in the Bible and not once have you even said anything about it....

The seed is not seed, are you ignoring this? the seed is the word....Mark 4.14 says so.....

The word in the NT most always refers to Jesus....not the finished Bible....

John 4:35-38
"Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. "Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps.'
"I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor."

Matthew 13:24-30
Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. "But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. "But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.

"The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' "And he said to them, 'An enemy has done this!' The slaves said to him, 'Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?' "But he said, 'No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. 'Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn."'"
you are stuck on the word seed....what does Jesus say the seed is in the parable of the sower? You are using other verses that means nothing because you are stuck on the word seed...

GO check out Mark 4

Hi all

I am posting this here because some people do not understand what I believe and I want to make it clear to everyone what it is that I actually believe so there is no misunderstandings between us. I don't know how many times I have told some people here that we are saved by the things we do ("the Works of the Law"). Yet I am accused of believing something that I do not believe.

I believe that the true Gospel is the Word of God because Jesus is the Word and we only have life by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matt 4:4) I believe it is only through the Law of God that we can see ourselves just as God sees us, as sinners in need of a savior and that all of our own righteousness is as filthy rags (Isa 64:6). It is only here as sinners, that we can see our need of help and cry out to Jesus "Lord save us we perish" (Matt 8:25). It is only in this conditions looking into the perfect Law of liberty (James 1:25) as our mirror that God's Law can be our schoolmaster that leads us to find Jesus as our very own Lamb of God that takes away our sins. God's Law shows us that all we can do without him is sin and that this disease is in us and that there is nothing that we can do in our own strength to save ourselves. It is only here that we can lay hold of the promises of God alone and by Faith alone completely depend on the Word of God to do what it says it will do that we see the love of God towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us and washed us in His own blood and that by His stripes we are healed and it is here that we love him because he first loved us (Rev 1:5; John 3:16; 1Pet 2:24; 1John 4:19)

People do not realize that it is only as we continue in his Word the very same way that we found Jesus by complete dependence on the Word of God to do what it says it will do in us by faith that we are His disciples (John 8:31). It is only here that we can see the God of Love and by beholding by faith we become changed into his image so that we can love as he has loved us (2Cor 3:18). Now finally we do not keep God's law for salvation but God works in us to will and to do of His own good pleasure as we have complete dependence and faith in His Word to do what it says it will do (Phil 2:13) and it is because we love Jesus that we follow him (John 14:15). Salvation is by Faith in God's Word alone. Only the Law of God can bring us to Christ that we might be justified by Faith (Gal 3:24). Do away with God's Law you do away with salvation because Jesus did not come to call the righteous but sinners (Matt 9:13) It is sinners that God makes into saints so that God can show the world "here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" (Rev 14:12). It is only as God writes His Law of Love in us as we walk in the Spirit that we can follow Jesus (Rom 8:1-5). Love is the fulfilling of God's Law and is the New Covenant (Rom 13:10; Heb 8:10-12).

God's Word tells us that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Each one of us needs to decide for ourselves do we want to follow God's Word or the teachings and traditions of man over the Word of God. We can only find God through His Word as we seek him and ask him (Isa 55:6-7; Jer 29:13; John 14:26). It is here he promises to help us and guide us and reveal himself to us.

It is God's Word that teaches that His 7th Day Sabbath is just as much a part of God's Law as the other 9 and God tells us if we break one of these commandments (10) we are guilty before God as sinners because sin is the transgression of God's Law (James 2:10-12; 1John 3:4)

Hope this help others to see that it is because I love Jesus not because I am worthy. I am a sinner. I love Jesus because of What he has done for me. I take hold of his Hand and walk with Him moment by moment by faith alone in His Word. It is God who works in me and changes my life so I can walk with Him

God bless you all.

So you are saying anyone who reads the Bible is reading Jesus?

Jesus isn't his own unique person?

I believe there is power in the Word of God Who is Jesus.

I believe the Bible contains messages from God but the Bible itself..,the words themselves are not Jesus anymore Than a letter written by you is still a part of YOU.

The power is not in the Bible but in the person of Jesus,

The power of a written decree is not in the paper or the words used to write it, but in the King who issued it.
We are not saying this...

Here is another verse that people get all messed up....they think the word in Vs 23 is the Bible....the word in Vs 23 is Jesus and if you apply that wisdom to the rest of Vs24-25 you will know that James is not telling us to be a hearer of the written word, he is admonishing us to be a doer of Jesus Christ , not a hearer only of Jesus Christ.....the other verses 24-25 bear this out. Jesus is the Law of liberty...So James is essentially saying you have to be a doer of Jesus Christ and become like him and if you do you will be blessed in what you do...

James 1.23-25

[SUP]23 [/SUP]For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; [SUP]24 [/SUP]for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. [SUP]25 [/SUP]But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

I was commenting to EG....so this doesn't really follow our conversation at all.

I cannot call out names but they know who they are. If all here was saved, then we would be all on one accord.and not name calling and backbiting and discord among one another.

The point is if people sow the Word (meaning Jesus) into others lives and not the GOSPEL.... Then the parable would be corrupted.

No. Once Jesus is placed in a believer's heart, all of those things are rooted out and destroyed. They are spiritual strongholds that need to be torn down.

The parable is about the GOSPEL being spread to the world. Some will reject the gospel (Satan steals their understanding and blinds them). Some will nominally accept but have no true roots (stony ground). Some will accept but be doubleminded and value the world more than God's promises (thorny ground). A few will accept and bear fruit. The first fruit is being born again of the Holy spirit by confessing with one's mouth a saving faith in the Gospel.

Romans 8
23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

What is the gospel Ariel? Is it underlined in red below? The gospel is Jesus and what he did....

1 Cor 15.1-45 says it plainly
15 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, [SUP]2 [/SUP]by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures

The parable of the sower is not about life after salvation or getting saved...the parable is about the reasons why people reject Jesus Christ... and the one who does receive Jesus Christ

Thanks for the clarification.
I always thought that that were trying to mix grace with observance of the law (works) and that you have emphatically confirmed.

I think you got it wrong again my friend. It is faith that works by love. Love is the fulfilling of the Law in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.
