AMEN to that....many are blind to and reject verb tense that proves eternal security......and will end up in hell because of said rejection....tragically I might add!
I know you know this DC. But I just want to make it clear and unambiguous.

There are also many who don't believe in eternal security and reject many clear and simple statements of scripture, who are saved and won't end up in hell.

Christ is content that they make the choice to trample on His blood every time they say," His salvation can be lost or self forfeited." But He is faithful. He will save them.

At the end of the day it comes down to which "gospel" they have placed trust into......for example...the gospel of a different kind hammered by Paul in Galatians....

FAITH + Works = a false gospel with no power to save and one that is double cursed....without a doubt there are people who have trusted Christ and then been led away into a false religion....their salvation is secure based upon initial belief.....

Bema is just the place of judgement, a platform or seat, not the type of judgement.

Nevertheless, when we are
judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.
1 Cor 11:32

Judged here is "krinomenoi" which means passing judgement.
And the target of the judgement is on the people of God.

So to say there are different judgments based on these two greek words appears
to be reading too much into a reference to where the judgement is passed rather than
it is different between believers and non-believers.

The above is the point. You have taken two greek words describing different things and made
them into the same subject, judgement, while this is simply mixing up meanings.

The objective is simply to justify the guilty without repentance or getting right with God.
The whole concept you are following is justification without cleansing or reconciliation, because
in your view there is no reconciliation. But then there is no salvation, because everything is
about communion and oneness. Abiding in the vine, is being part of it, and living through it.

God does not have unholy vessels. Yet this is the dilemma you face and all who take a similar
road to you. Your own self condemnation can never accept God can make you pure.

Even though the gnostic teaching says you have purity in the spirit, it is limited and constrained.
But ask deeper, is there something you have failed to hand over to the Lord, an area of your
life you cannot accept, something that no matter how feeble it is yours and you want to hang on to it.

Dying to this world is much harder than any realise, the giving up of everything. No ties, no conditions,
no dependencies. That is loving God with everything you are.

The games people play have no resolution until they stop playing, defending, when before God it is just
us and Him. Facing our ultimate mortality and love alone is the eternal reality, is a hard place for people
of this world to come to accept. But the cross is the only way, death to the lusts and passions of the
flesh and walking in the commands of Christ.
This is a bit unfair to this brother. You are stating what his motives are for his belief and are assuming his motives to be bad. You are not able to get into his mind and heart to come to these conclusions.

This is a mistake and we learn it the hard way. I can give a life example of my own. I know a woman who tries to force herself to do chores that need done because she knows she will put them off for months if possible. One time, there was a plastic hangar tucked under the dryer, but sticking out about halfway. I saw it every time I went into the laundry room but it was where no one would step on it and break it, thereby ruining the hangar (or cutting their foot.) So I saw it every time for a month, and would think about picking it up but I was always either coming or going with a load of laundry, so, hands full, I kept forgetting it. She was on vacation for that month, and it was in fact her hangar and not mine, which is completely beside the point, just background. She came home from her vacation and of course began to do laundry from her suitcase. The next time I went into the laundry room, the hangar, which had sat quietly and not made a peep for an entire month, was out in the middle of the very narrow walkway. I was immediately consumed with her slothfulness because it appeared she had enough energy to move it with her foot, but not enough energy to pick it up and, since we were the only two living there, she wanted ME to pick it up! And I had to or I would step on it, slip on it, cut my foot, or need to struggle over top of it with my laundry bin in hand on a very narrow walkway.

I asked her about it but couched it in pleasant enough terms (even though inside I was murdering her). I may have said something like...we may have a ghost - Something sat for over a month in one spot and then moved, blah, blah, blah.

She said, oh, haha, no, I moved it. I knew I would leave it there forever if I didn't put it right in my face, because I can be such a procrastinator, so I put things in my path if I know I have to do them or I'll keep forgetting.

At this point, I was thinking of all the times my path had been blocked by something she put IN the path, which I always took to mean she was asking ME to do it (such as carrying recycling down to the garage, for instance, which I would always have to either literally do, or literally move, to get around it.) Well, she was very clever with her explanation now wasn't she, hmm?? Of course she was caught in her net, so I said, oh...yes, but you didn't pick it up. She said, yes, I had let your dog out because I thought he might like to pee and you had been gone for quite a few hours. He probably didn't HAVE to go yet, but I think I rather wanted some company and he cheers me up so I went and got him and let him out. On my way into the room, I had my hands full, and I knew going out of the room I wouldn't see it, so I pulled it into the path to remind myself. But he put up such a shrieking in the backyard as I was coming back out that I thought something was after him. So going into the room I pulled it out with my foot, intending to pick it up on my way out when my hands were empty, but I was so scared for your dog that I instead jumped over it to go see what was the matter. And then we came back in and he wanted to play with his ball and I forgot and haven't yet gone into the room again yet to see the reminder I left myself. (Turns out that his shrieking was at a squirrel that was teasing him up on the fence.)

Her motive was not bad and all the times I had fumed about her leaving little clues for what she would like me to do were NOT clues for me. She had no evil motive in any of the cases - her mind just works differently than mine. So I was murdering a woman who was loving and caring for my dog, which she in no way has a responsibility to do.

I was attributing evil to her and murdering her for months, yet in my mind, she was the bad one. Who do you think God was disapproving of - her or me?

All works-based believers have essentially departed from the faith ( which is what apostasy means in scripture ) This affects the quality of their life here on this earth but not does not affect their inner man that has been created in righteousness and holiness. It does not make Christ Himself unrighteous because He is joined as one spirit with them.

If a person gets sick in their thought life ( mind ) then they can say all kinds of things and be mad at God for whatever reason - or just be deceived into thinking that their own works will keep them safe. If they are truly born-again and sealed with the Holy Spirit - then they are safe in Christ. Christ Himself is our Savior - not ourselves.

Timothy 4:1-5 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away ( apostesontai ) from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,

[SUP]3 [/SUP] men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;

[SUP]5 [/SUP] for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

What is going to cause this "falling away" ( apostasy )...people who forbid others to marry...and not to eat certain foods...why is this departing from the faith?...it's in verse 3, 4 and 5.

verse 3 = which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

It's in knowing who you are in Christ - who is the truth and the faith....this not marrying and not eating certain foods to keep yourself "separated" from others..is a form of self-effort and reliance on a D.I.Y. self-righteousness/holiness mindset.

This "departing from the faith - apostasy" are people creating their own righteousness/holiness through their works of the flesh by self-effort and living by what they do or don't do - instead of relying on Christ's finished work.

It has the "appearance " of good but it denies the power to effect real change ...which is Christ in us and His life.

The man-made religion of their own self-effort for righteousness is denying the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ and this is falling away from the faith.

"The faith" is relying on Christ's work on the cross and resurrection by grace through faith alone for righteousness and being one with the Lord.

We have so many "unbelieving believers" in the church today that think their salvation as in being with the Lord for eternity is dependent on them. This is the true "departing from the faith".
No we have so many believers today believing they are saved and living two life's one on Sunday and the other during the week. We have so many who no longer sees the importance of living out ones faith.

You throw around works salvation and I just wonder what your talking about. I live by faith and my faith relies on scripture. And when scripture tells me to imitate Christ and the apostles this I must do. Do I believe I can do anything of my own. No I can not. But as I listen to the Spirit that guides me, the doing good is where it leads me.

In obedience I surrender and deny myself in order to do the will of God.

If you think God is all controlling then how
does that fit his nature? Do you believe out of our free will we can't tell God no once we have the faith?
I know in fact it's a lot easier saying no than saying yes I serve you God.

God wants a relationship not a robot.

If all the warnings in scripture to believers has to do with rewards in heaven then I wonder why some say destruction, or burned up.

Or warnings to not fall for false teachers as some had. The gates to heaven must be really wide because the fans are many but sadly the followers are few.

Yes you can throw out works. Unless you think God can not know our faith, God does not need proof, We may, But God does not.

That passage said Abraham was declared righteous (saved) before he did one work.

The work was a natural response to faith. Not an addendum to faith to help his get saved.
Eph 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God does not need proof he asks us to do the good works ordained beforehand for your benefit. So you may have long life in the land he has given you, so you can discern between good and evil, so you know you are redeemed and waiting for the certain hope of salvation to come this is a benefit to the good works ordained beforehand.
Before Messiah came in the flesh then, we have been given the good works for men to do?
Yes and it is the same "good news" you have heard from the Beginning, (Genesis mean beginning).
In Gen. 1 we find in the Hebrew, aleph-tauv. This "word" literally is the word in John's writing. He actually literally translated Gen 1 "in the beginning was the " word" the "word" was with God and the "word" was God. The aleph or A, and Tag or Z in our language is the first and last. It's meaning is word and all things, just like Messiah filling all things and yes nothing that exists. My friend you are not truthful with the word and all of scripture backs my next statement. Good Works is Torah,(Instruction literally, or faith figuratively) if you are redeemed we confirm Torah. If we say we are born of Elohim and the commandments are not in us we are deceived.

He returns with exactly the same thing no matter the topic. Wish I knew that before I responded to him. By the way Abraham kept the instruction of Elohim and ordinance. It wasn't until he trusted in God that he was credited with rightousness. Sounds like salvation by grace to me...

So, your designing straw men positions and trying to pit the truth of grace based salvation firmly grounded in the finished work at the cross to be diametrically opposed to what again?

grace is not license to sin. False grave says the law has been done away with and no longer applies in our overall redemption. I am saying we are not saved by God's grace if we don't walk in his good works, (Torah). Not that it is of us that we have salvation but because and if we are saved we do keep the commandments. Again not because we believed but belief should lead us to The Instruction of Elohim. Because this to "Faith", Torah is a free gift of Elohim also.

Also saying the Spirit lives in us forever do you think that means he is setting up a dictatorship or do you think he wants to work with us, as we grow in obedience to what it really means to deny oneself.

I am just being open here, denying myself has not got any easier and in fact most the time God leads me to decisions that really takes me out of my comfort zone. I so very badly just want to listen to the flesh and be selfish or lose my patience. And I know ignoring the Spirit can be done. I have done it and still struggle with it. A few years ago I had a spiritual enlightenment that God doesn't want lukewarm Christians.
I felt his presence in every fragment of my being. I was living two life's. One as a Christian that believed I was okay to do what I wanted and get right with Jesus later. My life has gotten so much simpler since that night. Living for Christ only matured once I allowed Jesus to work in me.

I now have a stronger understanding of when God is leading me. I never feel forced.

To say we no longer sin is lying. Sin is easy, denying self is not. Human nature is selfish. We want our feet washed. But following Jesus tells us to wash the feet of others.

And living in the real world I see Christians try of their own will to do right but doesn't rely on obedience to Christ which is in reality total life transformation. A total makeover. But we love to hold on to old ways. So many do not make it that far but remain infants and allowing the world to persuade them that we are entitled to live for self and not others.

I started to listen to the Spirit and the word of God.
