Yes i I agree with you and others who say this as well of which I am one.

But I would say that all of us need to be very very careful as to judging what good works are according what Jesus said good works are, but further more judging what level of works are required as a result of our faith in Jesus.

To me a simple example would be, let's say someone places their faith in Jesus but has anger issues.
Will their anger issues suddenly stop? I would say not (please note everyone I'm not limiting God here cause it may happen)
I would say that a person with faith in Jesus then the Holy Spirit will reveal it to them, then that person will ask for help but will want help.

That being the case anger will start to decrease and that will be replaced with an increase of?

Hmm I'm trying to think with what an increase of what.

I think I would have to say, love and self control.
that would depend on the meaning of work or works.

would the working of the law, omit or edit out, what a saviour did for you or omit the saviour, talking to you, directly to you.etc

working to remain , in an edited out, part of the bible, would it exclude that grace. etc

I disagree.
Nothing wrong with telling someone that you won't be responding. If they continue to address you afterwards, then it doesn't make you look immature for "overlooking". Some will post and post and post to people who've said im putting you on ignore.. If there is no documentation you both look crazy

Mature persons also don't need to announce who they are ignoring!

We are saved by the life of the Lord Jesus Christ which is in us in our new creation. We are now learning how to walk by the spirit - which is our spirit in union with Christ by the Holy Spirit ( whom Jesus said would be in us forever - John 14:16 ).

Romans 5:10-11 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

[SUP]11 [/SUP] And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Living by the flesh does not stop making us a new creation in Christ. It makes us deceived by sin and distorts our view of the Lord's love and grace towards God Himself, others and ourselves.

I have found the very same thing happening in my life. The more I see Christ and what He has done - and the more I agree with His work - the more He becomes manifested in my life and the things of the flesh just have fallen off like dead leaves on a branch.

Transformation is really the emerging new man that is in Christ being manifested in our bodies while we are here on this earth.

This transformation of what already is in us in Christ in our new creation ( It is not called a "new evolution" ) can be seen by man as our minds get renewed to the truth of Christ's work for us. Rom. 12:2

We are simply "being" who we already are when we "put on Christ".

The new man in Christ is like the invisible man - when he put clothes on, people could then see him. We put on Christ and people see the new man in Christ manifested and God gets glorified.

This all happens by grace through faith in what Christ has done and we participate in it with Him for it is God who is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He will be faithful to us. Phil. 2:13

As we learn to walk by the spirit instead of the flesh - then we experience God's kind of life in our lives.

But make no mistake about it - it is the life of Christ Himself that lives in and through us. It is the love of God that is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is Him loving others in and through us.

Colossians 1:26-27 (NASB)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,

[SUP]27 [/SUP] to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Please never do what again?? Never have confusion? Never talk a thought out with our brothers and sisters?
I've caught myself saying things that weren't quite right and had a brother or sis bring up a scripture and realized I didn't quite have it because I forgot about a scripture that made it more clear. She was doing something horrible or evil...?

Here is the entire verse....

Phil 1.6

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

The good work in you is NOT completed automatically...it is completed in you when Christ Jesus returns....
it will still be completed, nothing can stop it when it starts, that's Gods promise,

Care to expalin the below verse for me then?

2 Cor 7.10
[SUP]10[/SUP]For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Sorrow helps produce repentance, it is not repentance.

You have lasted more than three years now, so it cannot be true for you, surely :) What was said is not a statement of truth for all, but the person who made it seems to show they believe they are insensitive, since they have lasted coming up on eight years! Also, God wants us to be sensitive to others, but not at the expense of truth. Sadly, people seem to confuse the two.
understanding what is being said is a basic concept.

for example

"44 Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.45 You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.Luke 7

how, would i know, that was an insult, to a jewish rabbi. so how come, you can not see insults.etc

Wow....seriously disappointed by some of the immaturity displayed...

Anyway G777...this statement sounds so strange..

"
No one can live the true Christian life - only the One living in and through us can live His life. Gal. 2:20 & Col. 3:3"

It's why folks accuse you of believe we are robots....

Perhaps you could reword it or something..

I would say that we are only able to live the Christian life if the Holy spirit empowers us.....to say that no one can live the Christian life just sounds off.
I believe what he meant is that there is nothing we can do without abiding in Him. We are so poor of spirit that we will never walk right without Him in us, abiding and empowering us.

Thank you EG, that is what I was trying to say as well.
If repentance means a change of mind then it would make sense that sorrow is instrumental in changing one's mind.

Sorrow helps produce repentance, it is not repentance.

You do not know me or what I preach sir...and I certainly do not know you or your church......it would seem your spiritual age is about the same as you shoe size....
What you preach is an obvious false doctrine. You are going on ignore - please do not respond to anything I say.

she willfully and flagrantly disregarded the truth of scripture and then backpedaled and suggested that is not what she meant....Her and others here and on this thread have stated with fleshy bravado they would stop anyone in a church for false teaching and I stopped her from propagating something patently false...I even let her have the backpedal, which she does non- stop to others here all the time....she did it 7seas just yesterday.....I let her off until she decided to take one bit of correction and insinuated I defamed her character to others....

If they want to talk grace, that's fine.....when they give it a bad name and pervert by hing against total truth.... some of us will be compelled to call them on the error....and show them truth....

Grace and its manifold beauty is not the issue, the willful disregard for other truth is the ongoing issue at stake here...

Hey guys, we're walking well! We're learning to bear offense, not revile back, let each other have their own views without calling them unsaved, lost, fallen from grace, stupid, ignorant. See what love does? See what not reviling back does?

Yep I believe there is correlation between faith and agape work, the more you trust Him the more love out of you

yet I believe we not perfect yet, we still sinner

In the contrary I do not believe a Christian do not have agape love at all. Jesus in us must produce agape love, It may not perfect, because of our selfishness, thoug It was perfect from the manufacture, the distributor make It Imperfect
Jesus AS a producer always produce a perfect product.

the producer Will prune the branch to deliver better product. It is an oN going process.
