It does not get any plainer..........Our righteous works have ZERO to do with Salvation!

English Standard Version
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Berean Study Bible
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Berean Literal Bible
He saved us, not by works in righteousness that we did, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

New American Standard Bible
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

King James Bible
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
If you do not keep all His commandments, you’ll never get to see Him. For he said “if you love Me you’ll keep my commandments.

Hi E-grateful, you are correct I am not saying we have any part in God saving our soul, none. What I am saying is that because God has saved us and we have received remission of sin, we should be baptized. Baptism is symbolic of what has already taken place. I hope this is clear now.

Thats what I thought you meant brother.

You already failed. Thus by your own terms, you will never see him, except to hear him say depart..

If we could be saved by being obedient, the4 cross is foolishness, Christ died in vein.

That’s kind of got it bakards. You repent then your sins are washed away when you are baptized in the name of Jesus other wise your still a sinner.

Lol. I am still a sinner, a sinner saved by grace. But called by Go0d his redeemed

Water baptism will never save anyone, if it is required, no one in the OT was ever saved.

So when God said all have sinned and fallen short of Gods demand, God did not mean it, Only some have sinned? GFod told nic he had to be born again, and told him how. Not by being obedient, it was to late for that, but but believing in the only begotten son of God who came to take the sins of the world.

Your wrong there too because a great many were saved. Romans 11. Even some fail a few times they got back up and they were baptized in the water and the cloud.

Our daily walk and worship should be aimed at the Savior Jesus who did keep all the commandments of God. I like what Preacher4Truth said; "any good we do is because of what God has done." I mean how do some of these self righteous people make it through their front door when they come home, their ego's of themself is so inflated. "I keep all of God's command's"

And who wants to even be around such high and mighty people not me. Walk softly around people who say they "keep all of God's commandment's." In the Church they are considered legalist's and full of pride the original sin, "you will be like God" If you meet someone who is in leadership at your Church and they do not display honest humility, run for the door.

Thanks for posting this e-grateful, a humble man.......:)

Oh yes He ment every word of it and more. Including Acts 2:38 which you will never do.

There is no predestination or election in Pharts ... theology.
Yes there is.....the predestination that Paul talks about. Believers are predestined to look like Jesus. What that means is, we're not going to look like a frog, or an elephant. It has been predetermined that we will look like Jesus when this is all over:

"29For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren" (Romans 8:29 NASB)

But you are erroneously reading it to mean God predetermined who is going to be a believer and who is not by assigning them the will to believe, or not assigning them the will to believe. If he does that, that's a pretty meaningless gospel.

God can not possibly know who would be saved and who would not to even be able to predestine anyone, Because God can not know even today who will continue to believe.
Of course he knows ahead of time who will believe and won't believe. He didn't pre-program them that way, he simply knows the future. He's God, you know. What has been predetermined is that those who he knows will believe before they believe (those he foreknew--vs.29 above) will become like Christ. Not like Donald Trump, not like Paul, not like Pee Wee Herman, but like JESUS. The predetermined plan is to turn believers into sons of God in the image of Christ, not turn them into something, or someone else.

His God is weak, His god is not omniscient...
Hardly. He knows ahead of time who will choose to believe and who will choose not to believe....and not because he assigned them the 'chooser' they will have. That would be a meaningless joke, a horrible 'gospel'. But it's a great gospel for someone caught in the grip of a besetting sin, or doubt.

...and his God can not keep us from falling away.
He is more than able to keep you from falling. That's why you need to continue to trust and believe in Him to do that. He does not keep people from falling who do not seek him and believe in him and desire to keep from falling. You have to believe in the power of God to have the power of God. Peter said we are protected for the Day of Salvation THROUGH FAITH (1 Peter 1:5), not through a ridiculous 'you are saved no matter what' doctrine. Paul also said we stand firm THROUGH FAITH (2 Corinthians 1:24). But so many people here are saying that's not true. And when they see how obnoxious and ridiculous that argument actually is they leap over to the argument that you can't stop believing--God does your believing for you. Horrible doctrine, folks.

He thinks he can break the seal that God made...
Technically, He Himself breaks the seal. Your return to unbelief is the reason why. You no longer belong to Christ when you stop believing and return to the world. Salvation is conditioned on faith in Christ. Not works, faith in Christ. It's a joke that so many Christians do not understand the basic gospel message and so have concluded that since you have to do the believing that's you trying to earn your own salvation. That's a joke. Paul NEVER said believing was on the side of works in his 'faith vs. works' argument. But the church has stupidly put it over there. I blame the leadership for this ridiculous error in the church today. Then I blame the church for blindly following them and not reading the Bible for themselves without the blinders of their teachings on their eyes.

Ihe still has snot responded to my answer to his thing about being sealed in a car and being able to get out..
When you respond to what I actually challenged you to respond to then I'll have something to discuss. I can only conclude that since you did not address the actual point I was making that you are afraid of the obvious answer to what I brought up.

ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). So much for salvation by perfectly obeying all of His commandments. BTY - The Greek word for "keep" is "tereo" which means to "guard, observe, watch over, properly maintain, keep intact" and does not mean sinless, perfect obedience to all of Christ's commandments 100% of the time.

If we love Him, we will (demonstrative evidence) keep His commandments. John is using descriptive language, and elsewhere we see a description of those who keep His commandments and those who do not keep His commandments. 1 John 2:3 - By this we know that we have come to know Him, (demonstrative evidence) if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

There is no OSAS even mentioned in what I am saying. I can be lost tomorrow if I don’t keep the commandms of God and my friend, so will you
I've stayed out of the water baptism argument going on here so leave me out of it, lol. But I do agree that the person who does not keep God's commands is in unbelief and will be lost on the Day of Salvation, not saved.

Every son want's to please his Father as you have clearly stated here. There is only One who has kept all of God's commandment's Jesus Christ our Savior. Cain tried to do it his way and failed. It just amazes me how people want to turn God's saving grace into a system of works and law. They choose all the bible verse's that say, "keep my command's" and they completely miss the, "saved by grace apart from works lest any man shall boast." Where is boasting, it is in the Cross of Jesus.

The people who promote a gospel of "Keeping all of God's commandment's", have a myopic view of the bible; they cannot see the forest through the tree's. They are full of pride and will not be received well at the judgment seat of Christ. No humility = fake gospel.

Amen! It's a shame that human pride will not allow such people to receive Christ through faith. Their hands are full of their works and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.

Your comments are alway's accusatory and rude and I have heard enough of your self righteous gospel. It should not be long before you are banned for posting a false gospel, Cainology.

You are confused my friend.

Thge only people who were baptised in the OT were those who were doing the ceremony of becoming a priest. And gentiles who wanted to convert to the Jewish faith.

I did acts 2, I repented and by it recieved the gift of the HS, and because I had recieved remission of sin, I asked my pastor to bap[tise me, which he did about a year later,

I was saved COMPLETELY the moment i had faith though

why are you trying to save yourself? When will you realis no amount of work you do will cause God to forgive one sin, let alone th emany you have commited since birth
