We are born again of the Holy Spirit.. and the 10 Commandments whether you say Kept or guarded are the base of Loving GOD and each other.. we are to Keep/guard even the least.. Now if the Greek word does not promote a do... then we could not break what we are only guarding.. and once you go down that road you would forever seek meanings.. instead of believing.. for the bar is raised and lusting after a woman is committing adultery... so to guard or Keep is to do or you could not break..
so, in other words, you are going to believe what you believe , no matter what word meanings are. so, facts do not have the highest place in your beliefs. o.k. got it.

You totally remind me of FranC... lol.. she remained blind too and look where that got her..
Hi Blue,

I believe this to be a very unkind and judgmental comment to make on anyone, no matter how much you may disagree.

I don't think we should ever throw around the ban word, nor do I think we should treat others unkindly.

I totally get the difficulties discussing with others about beliefs we hold dear. But if we get to the point where we want to lash out and want to hurt someone, is that the love of God speaking?

Loveme1 is one of the kindest and gentlest posters here in this thread. And there are others that speak with gentleness in their voice and with kindness on their lips as well.

I think we all want to help one another to see our brand of Christianity. And our brand could be wrong. How about if we all be open to the voice of the Lord and not allow it to be clouded by our own voice.

And just so you know, I liked Fran. I think she felt piled up on in this thread here (I wonder why)
 and felt she needed to protect her self and fight back. I'm not saying the way she posted was always right on, but in many ways she was more kind than some who are here arguing it out with others. We don't really know the exact reason she was banned so we shouldn't speculate. But to compare a banned person with anyone in a thread is just he most unkind thing to do.

Hopefully you can step back for a minute and see that. When the heat of the argument gets to the point where our character (the old man) raises it's ugly head, it's time to step away and pray and remember what we're here for.

We're to contend for the faith, sure, but in what way? In truth, in love and caring for the spiritual well being of our sisters and brothers in the Lord. We all have blind spots, I do and you do too, but let's help one another see them by taking out the plank of wood in our own eye so that we can see more clearly how to help out the other person. Let's be accused of loving too much instead of not enough. We're told to even love our enemy.......if we can't love on a sister, how will we love on an enemy of the cross?

gotquestions.org did a pretty good job of explaining it. Certain people (like SDA's) are absolutely obsessed with keeping the Sabbath Day and it must be on Saturday. I once had an SDA on my mail route tell me that I need to tell my employer that I cannot work on Saturday because it's the Sabbath Day and he even implied to me that if I don't, my salvation is in jeopardy.
I agree again with you about "Sabbath Keepers", getting closer to that retirement day I see........:)
and thank you for your reply.

I never said that the Greek word does not promote do, yet as I pointed out, we are not sinless and perfect in keeping the Commandments. Are you trusting in your best efforts to obey ALL 10 Commandments in order to obtain eternal life? How do you go about keeping the Sabbath Day holy, as outlined in the Mosaic Law?

BTY - All of the Ten Commandments are repeated under the New Covenant, except for the command to keep the Sabbath.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - James 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

Yes and Phart will be first in line with all of his wonderful works. It appears that Phart is making friends with all of the "Jewish Roots" folks that are on your thread now. Perhaps he wants to become a convert and revert back to serving the Law of Mose's, instead of our Heavenly Father. Like the Preacher has said;

Phart and people like him don't have much to do or time enough to talk about what Jesus Christ has done, because they are too busy trying to keep there self saved.
He needs to be reminded it will not count for anything:

Matthew 7:22-23 (HCSB)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

Loveme..where we see the picture of the sabbath rest that Jesus gives is in the feasts of the Lord.

Fulfilled when He sat down with Father in the heavenly realms, and in Spirit and His victory over all our enemies, we too as His body on earth has sat down with Him. This is above "doing" anything to please Father because what pleases Father is His Son.

Our pleasing is to believe what is freely freely given to us through His Son. Is why Hebrews starts out that Father in these days is speaking SON. Not law.

We have Holy Spirit our teacher and our leader now.

So by faith as we learn what we are, and who we are....we do the same works that Jesus did.

I hear a lot about love here, and see fingers point at comments as being unloving. But, Jesus wasn't always speaking loving comments to those who opposed Him. Love and truth goes together in the kingdom. Some need a direct comment because of whatever is going on in the heart, and others need a compassionate word. The leading should be the discerning by Holy Spirit as to which way one needs to speak or act.

There is always going to be ctiticism. If you know you gave a word from heaven, then stand no matter which wind is blowing.

The thing is....hear. And see. Just like Jesus operated.

AMEN! And that post is a KEEPER, for future use.

The only thing I can add to that, is the reason, for change in the Sabbath Law. When a new High Priest is appointed that IS NOT OF THE TRIBE OF LEVI, there is a required NEED to change something in the Law:

Hebrews 7:12-14 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For the one concerning whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

Therefore the Worship Commandment Changed,

FROM:

Exodus 20:8-10 (HCSB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy:
[SUP]9 [/SUP] You are to labor six days and do all your work,
[SUP]10 [/SUP] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You must not do any work—you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates.

TO:

Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
[SUP]25 [/SUP] not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

I'm sure Loveme is probably a nice person. :) However, every one who was on this thread the night Fran got banned, knows exactly why she got banned.. and I'm sorry, but some things that Loveme says, DO remind me of Fran. As for Fran, she said many nasty things to me both on the open board and in PM.. She said nasty things to alot of people here. I liked her too, but lost all respect for her when she told everyone on this thread that Jesus' death was wasted on us. :/

When I was a Postal Clerk, before I became a Carrier, I was working the PM Shift, and a new guy, hired on. He came to me about about two months later and asked: "How long does it take to get on Day Shift here with weekends off?" I laughed and told him, we have people on this shift that have been here 20 years, because there are very few Day Jobs for Clerks. So after that he started scheming, so he Joined the Adventist Church, and told them the Post Office refused give him Saturday off. They sent their Lawyers to tell the Post Master they had to give him Saturday off. So they created a job with Saturday off, just for him. The Catch 22, was it was NOT ON DAY SHIFT like he expected. It was Split Days off on the Graveyard Shift.

Hi Blue,

I was in the thread when Fran was banned. I saw her posts, that's why I said I think she felt ganged up on. What does one do when they are ganged up on. They throw the lot of those on top of them off so that they can breathe and don't get crushed from the weight of it all.

I didn't read her saying that, but yeah, that's serious. But was she banned for that one comment or for the whole of her posts right before she got banned. We just don't know. Maybe she was talked to and asked to stop and she was unwilling. We just don't know, but my guess is that those who are banned are warned and given the opportunity to change. But I'm speculating here and we all are because we're not the moderator who booted the person out. When I see how long it takes sometimes for people to be banned, I'm sure that the moderators here ere on the side of kindness, love and patience.

But again, it's still wrong to compare another person to a banned person. Even if you believe that you should keep it to yourself. I'm surprised that you don't see this. You call Fran nasty and then say that loveme1 is probably a nice person. And you're comparing the two as the same?

Ask yourself if comparing loveme1 to Fran out loud to the world of CC and beyond is loving, kind, gentle or patient? Love doesn't dishonor others, it's not easily angered and it doesn't keep a record of wrongs.

Do you consider her a sister in the Lord? Correct her in love - show scriptures for her error.
Do you consider her an enemy of the cross? Love her into the kingdom.

But don't attack the person.

And consider.......does anyone of us have all of the truth? Can we be in error? Are we teachable? Can God use someone here to help us see the light of truth more clearly?

And again, let's say we are right on any given topic.......how can we help someone see the truth? What scripture might help them? In what way can I help? Are we praying for those we think are in error. Is our motivation love?

She was not banned for anything she said in the room. She was banned for what she did, which she did on purpose, and knew what she was doing.

The Pharisees did NOT keep the law.
WOW, thank you, sir! This gem of truth is illustrated perfectly in John 8, yet it is always taught that only the woman matters. Thanks again, It is nice to know others out there know the real truth.

Deserts, let me clarify a few things. :) I'm NOT comparing Fran's attitude to Loveme's attitude. I'm comparing their mindset. What they believe and why, is on them.. Fran was very nice, until you ticked her off. Then she was just vile and foul-tongued. That's why she lost all respect and credibility with me, and probably many others here as well.
I HAVE provided scripture for Loveme. I haven't attacked her as a person at all. :) You ask if I love her, yes I do. I love everyone here. :) Now please, just drop the subject..

People have to take responsibility for their own actions. One person only can't be to blame for that night. We all have to think twice before we post.
