You have every right to report a user. You also have every right to place a user on ignore. You do not have a right to tell another user to not respond to your posts.
Wait a minute, he has a right to say whatever he wants to the user (even if it costs him ______ ). It is only not his right to enforce that they do this. It is his right to request it.

You just accused Jesus of sin.
Might want to check yourself.

1 John 1:10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Did you say you have not sinned?
All I did was show you the truth about what the scripture actually said when you changed the words, and for that you accused me of making God a liar. Do you mean to change this word also?

I agree. It is foolishness to attack the word of God.
You radically misunderstood me again. For the moment i'll assume it's unintentional.

The sting of death is sin ((1 Cor 15:56)) - striving against sin is futile unless you can defeat death - and if you can, then it is death that the tip of the sword should be pointed toward, with the strong of the sword closing the line through which sin arcs. This is the great work if God in coming as Messiah and swallowing up the grave on His cross. Without this hew, striving against sin - swatting the blade of death - is worthless, only prolonging the inevitable.

This is righteousness according to keeping the law, as though it can be achieved in such a way.

If you take this again as an excuse to sin, you've again misunderstood me as much as if you think I would advise you to drop your guard and let your head be chopped off as long as you can get in one food sword thrust.

[/SIZE][/FONT][/COLOR]I have no idea.

That is illogical.
You are saying, that one must present an argument that excuses sin in order to to preach the gospel.
Did I get that right?

Is that some kind of derail?

You brought up Stephen as a good example to look at, so it's not a derail at all.

If you don't know whether the accusation that grace = licence to sin has ever been levelled and thoroughly answered before you came along, dude, you've got catching up to do. i suggest first of all, read Romans. Then read it 70 more times.

I can certainly explain what i mean when i say that if the question of 'why shouldn't we just keep sinning' doesn't arise, that you probably aren't presenting the gospel accurately, but thus far in our conversation it doesn't appear you've comprehend anything i've written, so could we try to get to that point first?

Let those who don't commit sin throw the first stone..
LOL

i've been suspecting that this was all about PJW declaring the right to throw stones...

... and there it is.

Thank God for His Spirit! 'they struck me, but I was not hurt; they beat me, but i did not know'

Amen

Banned

I read a lot of his posts. Can't figure out how it happened, but I know WHERE it happened. This thread.
Makes me wonder how many have been banned since this thread's been running.
Anybody have an idea?
Who were they?

Not sure how many, but every one earned the BAN. They refused to go by the posted rules. Proving they were not sinless after all.

1 Peter 2:13-15 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--

The website's Posted Rules are ordinances of man. There are a lot of new faces recently, because Bible-Discussion.com closed their website down. Bible-Discussion.com was much more lenient about enforcing their rules, so there is bound to be some who were used to getting away with violating rules there, who may be shocked when they discover, this site enforces their rules.

Not to mention he totally misquotes JESUS....JESUS did not say those who DON'T COMMIT SIN.....he said those who are WITHOUT SIN...big difference...especially when you say you DON'T SIN

Ha it's apparently not 'sin' for him to change the words of scripture, though he says it's sin on my part to call him out on it.

My apologies BTW for botched words in my posts recently, been browsing through my phone @ work, fat fingers and autocorrect etc.

The "bold" just appears once in a while for no apparent reason.
Christ is indeed the "cure-all".
He cured my service to sin!
He cured my incessant walking after the flesh.
He cured my walking in darkness.
He cured my loneliness and fear and my addictions.

I am never going to offend Him again...because He loved me, and I am happy to return the favor.

I am not a betting man, BUT THAT STATEMENT IS A SURE THING TO BE WRONG!

Galatians 5:4 (CSBBible)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ;
you have fallen from grace.

No need to apologize.....you should see my text messages when not wearing my reading peeps.....0 strength but still need...

by the way....in 11th grade metal working I made a two handed "CONAN" sword hahah and in machine shop as a machinist I have made 2 really nice blades out of S-7 and A-3 tool steels......heat treated, annealed etc...one blade I had 40 hours in it....made the handle out of black Lexan and the guard and end piece out of Beryllium and pinned it all tight with a heat treated roll pin......while polishing the blade which I gun blued I looked up to speak with someone and sliced the tip of two fingers off enough to bleed....HAHHAHA the blade was christened with my blood ;)

Wow! That has to be the most prideful arrogant post I've ever read here!

When I blatantly caught him in a lie, regarding Scripture, and showed him the word he said didn't exist in Scripture in fact did, and he was so bursting with pride as to not admit his sin, I thought that was beyond arrogant.

But imagine thinking he is so perfect that he is able to cast stones at others!!
This is a truly sick and twisted individual.

Hi Preacher, tell me if I'm wrong but, I think Oncefallen was making the point that; I can tell a poster to "stop answering my post," and yet a written reply to, "mine or anyone's post" cannot be contested. And he, "the replier", has the right to post anything he wants to my post, but my rights are, "to put him on ignore" or "report his post", which is what I did.

Oncefallen's statement is true and here is why, (because he's the boss of course). I believe it is biblical to, "dis-fellowship" with someone who continually tries to feed unsuspecting people their false doctrine's. They can continue to put garbage on the table but I don't have to eat their garbage. And now I know my choice is to either, report their post or put them on Ignore." The ignore option is like, "Instant dis-fellowship." :)

Meh...you still have the right to request another to not respond to your posts. There is no rule saying you cannot do this.

You Know....the following truths really hammer home the struggle that can be found in a believer between the born again spirit and the still fallen nature in the flesh when one is immature, not fully transformed and or having a moment of weakness....

The spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak
James and the two souled man (double souled)
Paul doing what he said he would not do and not doing what he said he would do
Peter doing the exact opposite of what he said he would do
David after God's own heart and his moment with Bathsheba and Uriah

etc.....

One suggestion brother. After you place someone on ignore you can pm your friends or just open post a request not to quote the person you ignored. I believe that may help you not see the garbage you do not want to see .
I also suggest just do let the Delta Bravo occupy any space in your mind.

I don't think so.
People can offend God....really........God gets offended.....book, chapter and verse that states verbatim that God got offended.....

SO what......quote a verse that states God got offended book, chapter and verse........pretty easy to do if you have one....kind of like this...

God is love
God is Spirit

God got offended<----show us this in the bible, verbatim........
I haven't got a single example.
Does that mean that God doesn't get offended?
I don't think so.
Pretty good list of synonyms though, don't you think?
Let's try...transgress: shall we?
"Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff." (Josh 7:11)

"And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors." (Mark 15:28)
Don't you think transgressors offend God?
