First, I have said whenever posting on this topic and since I have been here I do not believe when we are born again we are perfect in our mind or flesh or sinless. I still do not believe that. Salvation is by the finished work of Christ and his work alone and we cannot earn salvation or maintain salvation by our works.

I do believe when we are born again our spirit is made perfect and if we allow our spirit to by led by the Holy Spirit and through renewing our minds, partaking of the divine nature, crucifying our flesh, allowing fruit of the Spirit to manifest and understanding our position and salvation through Christ and his work alone, before God. Our mind and our flesh will become subject and obedient to our spirit. This is what the new man and how he is renewed and transformed to.

Renewing our minds, partaking of the divine nature, crucifying our flesh, allowing fruit of the Spirit to manifest and understanding our position and salvation is not working for or maintaining our salvation. It is our part in progressive sanctification. I will never be perfect or sinless, by when my perfect spirit is in control , I do not war agaisnt the flesh, because my spirit follows after the Spirit and has control over my flesh and mind. This is the whole truth of Romans 7:1 to Romans 8:1-17

No offense, I find it surprising you talk about being born again and still think we are powerless over sin and that we are at constant war with our flesh. You seem to label those that disagree with you as pushing sinless perfection. This seems to indicate a lack of understanding about the salvation we never earned, gave us. We get to be a new man in flesh and mind 100% in glory, but we also get to work towards that here and now and I think that is what you and some of your squad miss.
Your last paragraph shows you have no idea what I believe or my stance........

So you adhere to the concept that you can lose your salvation. You ignore the fact that Jesus said those who are in His hand will never be taken from Him.

Methinks you need to push a reset button on your theology.
He was being sarcastic....Phart used to push that.....make no mistake, he believes in eternal security

If you every get a hold of context and using words rightly you might begin to be biblical....the context is not the salvation of the soul and when you make posts like this you belie the fact that you do indeed do push a works based false gospel.......CONTEXT....look the word up and come online with the truth!!

New International Version 1984 Romans 2:1-8 God’s Righteous Judgment You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will give to each person according to what he has done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are SELF SEEKING AND WHO REJECT THE TRUTH AND FOLLOW EVIL, there will be wrath and anger.

Your last paragraph shows you have no idea what I believe or my stance........

This statement you boldly proclaim is a dog that will not hunt. Many here have a very good idea of what you believe and what your stance is. I do not believe for a second you are advocating or believe we can sin all the time, because of grace, like others on this thread wrongfully accused you of saying. I also know you believe as I have said, that we are not sinless or perfect after salvation in our mind or flesh. I also do not disagree one bit with you that Salvation is not by works.

We part ways after the doctrine of salvation and what it gave us.

You and others here have admitted and even glorified in the fact you are still a sinner, after conversion. You state this, because in your theology, belief, doctrine and knowledge you understand you are not perfect and will still sin even after getting saved. Because of this you do not view the term sinner as a condition, but rather who you are to the core. You also believe it will never change because all fall short. I am not at trying to pick a fight, be mouthy or prideful or think I am better than you. I know this belief and also used to glorify in the fact I was just a sinner saved by grace. I was like you years ago. I was taught this teaching as a kid, heard it in seminary, preached and taught it myself. Then one day my Aquila and Priscilla entered my world and rocked it and showed me what the scriptures really say. They I am sinner before Christ, but a new man after Christ work on the cross.

After salvation, God says and views you us as his sin-forgiven sons, who will still sin, but if our perfect spirit is led by the Spirit, then our mind and flesh become obedient to his spirit. When this happens we do not fight our sinful nature[mind and flesh] because they are now obedient to the new mans perfect spirit.

The real eye opener for me was relearning what Peter was really teaching in 2 Peter 1:1-11 about being a partaker of the divine nature. I was taught, and told this passage is about the future in my glorified state. No sir, Peter was talking about being a partaker of the divine nature now.

Verse 10 says this:

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

The greek word for Fall here is to sin. SO If I do what Peter says in verses 1-9 and it means I will not be perfect here on earth in my mind and body, but I am a partaker of the divine nature now and Sin will not have dominion over me it changed everything.

We will be a total 100% divine nature in glory, but Christ's work on the cross give us the ability to work on it down here. NO perfection or sinless people exist here, but let me tell you what, we are new men now and can and do have control, power and choice over sin that attempts to entangle us. That ought to make you of all people jump for joy and is exactly how we enter into rest here before entering perfect rest in glory.

I hope I was not offending to you in my other post, but I stand by what I said. I will say it again and no offense implied or meant, you seem to miss this as do many in your squad.

Merry Christmas dcon.

Do you sin...yes or no? And that has always been my point.....we can word play all day long and it is moot....a saved child of God that sins or a sin saved child of God and your view of my belief is erroneous.....I do not believe I am a sinner to the core, but rather rightly believe My spirit is what has been born of incorruptable seed, does not sin, is perfect before the Lord, is eternally saved, sealed, justified and sanctified in Christ....HOWEVER it is still bound in a fallen dead body of sin that is prone to sin, contrary to the truth , not subject unto the word and fails every day.....JESUS SPEAKS TO THIS....the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.....being a partaker of the divine nature is fully possible by a saved child of God and beyond the ability of a lost man....I know God sees me as a justified son through the blood of Christ, I know greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world, I know we can have victory over the body of sin dia transformation etc.....this does not change the fact that we still pack sinful flesh and that NO ONE is sinless and no one keeps the law 24/7365 and no one is beyond failure.....THAT HAS ALWAYS been my point and it is biblical!

Does Jesus also teach or push for works salvation when He told the rich young man to obey the commandments(mat 19:16-26), the apostles/disciples to teach obedience(mat 28:19-20)? When he said, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.(john 14:15)

If those who teach or push for obedience to God’s laws and commands are WORKS SALVATIONISTS then what do you call those who disobey and reject God’s laws and commands, those who teach and push these?

Do you also reject the ff: truth?

Hebrews 5:7-9 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, HE LEARNED OBEDIENCE from what he suffered and, once MADE PERFECT, he became the SOURCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION for all who OBEY him.

John 14:31 but the world must learn that I LOVE THE FATHER and that I DO EXACTLY what my Father has COMMANDED me. “Come now; let us leave.

1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS.

1 John 2:6 Whoever claims to live in him MUST WALK AS JESUS DID.

2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you WALK IN LOVE.

AND LET US NOT LOVE WITH WORDS OR TONGUE BUT WITH ACTIONS AND IN TRUTH.(1john 3:18)

I have said often, that I still sin, so stop playing around and asking something I have already answered. Playing the implication game and asking a rhetorical question someone has already answered, makes you look like an arrogant bully instead of the leader, gentleman and Former Marine you are.

Do you agree you can go 1 hour without sin? how about 8 hours, how about a whole day?

When you learn to drive you are taught to respect a stop sign and a red light. How many times do you run a red light or stop sign in a day? 1x, 3X, 15X,all the time or not at all? You probably do not run a red light or stop sign all the time, but maybe a few times a year.

Does this make you perfect and sinless, not even, you hate the speed limit sign, and never obey the posted speed limit at all. So while you are perfect at not running stop signs and red lights, you now have to work on the sanctification of the speed limit sign.

This is how it is with sin. We will never, be perfect I will still sin and so will you, but as we are led by our spirit it becomes a little easier to not run a red light or stop sign and obey the speed limit. I will also add, you do it out of love for what was given to you, not to keep, maintain or work for what we were freely given.

You talk about the rich young man.
This is what he says up to Jesus

Matthew 19:20

20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”

What was he lacking?

He was telling Jesus I have obeyed.
But he was responding to Jesus quoting commands 5-10.

Then Jesus pushed in to the first command.
That he fell foul off.

He loved his riches more than God.

I don't understand your point at all Dcon. Jesus was only speaking to Jews. There was no church. Only Synagogues. He came to His own first. Was rejected. That's in the Word.

Ecclesia means a religious gathering, not church.
><>t<><

Yep, the work CHURCH is not in the original manuscripts Tests. The English Language used the word "CHURCH", because that is what the congregations were calling the worship meetings.

When Jesus said this verse, He actually was saying:

Matthew 16:18 (YLT)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] `And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;

That is why I believe the Assembly is the Later Half of the the Assembly HE has been building since Adam on, since the one that those He was telling this verse to is the LAST of the First Assembly, because the birthday of the Church is not until the Pentecost Sunday the after His Ascension.

John 10:14-16 (NKJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
{At the Rapture, remember He also inspired these words to be written about Jews or Gentiles.}

1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Doesn't that mean mean the Old Testament Saints that believed GOD that the MESSIAH would come, are all partaker of the Promise?

You confuse judging motive for standing up to you and not letting you paint me with that broad brush that you do to most here you disagree with.

NOT BY WORKS

THEM THAT BELIEVE
Reconciliation, Unity, Obedience

2 Timothy 4:1-8 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: PREACH the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; CORRECT, REBUKE and ENCOURAGE—with great patience and CAREFUL INSTRUCTION. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, TO SUIT THEIR OWN DESIRES, they will gather around them a great number of teachers TO SAY WHAT THEIR ITCHING EARS WANT TO HEAR. They will turn their ears AWAY FROM THE TRUTH and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship,DO THE WORK of an evangelist, discharge all the DUTIES OF YOUR MINISTRY. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have FINISHED THE RACE, I have KEPT THE FAITH. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

John 9:4-5 As long as it is day, WE MUST DO THE WORK OF HIM WHO SENT ME. night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

1 Timothy 4:15-16 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will SAVE both yourself and your hearers.

2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION:

Ephesians 2:11-22 One in Christ Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (that done in the body by the hands of men)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Romans 9:4-5 the people of Israel. Theirs is the ADOPTION AS SONS; theirs the DIVINE GLORY, THE COVENANTS, THE RECEIVING OF THE LAW the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of CHRIST, who is GOD OVER ALL, forever praised! Amen.

WE WERE GIVEN THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION LEADING PEOPLE TO BE RECONCILED TO GOD AND TO REACH “UNITY IN THE FAITH.”

Ephesians 4:1-13 ….until we all reach UNITY in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:10 Divisions in the Church I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be PERFECTLY UNITED in mind and thought.

WHO PREACHES UNITY IN THE BODY?

WHO CREATES DIVISION BY CALLING THOSE WHO OBSERVE OR KEEP GOD’S LAWS & COMMANDMENTS AS PHARISEES (a member of a JEWISH sect), ACCUSING THEM OF BEING UNDER THE LAW, SINLESS PERFECTIONISTS, WORKS SALVATIONISTS ETC., WHILE CALLING THEMSELVES AS GENUINE BELIEVERS WHO ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, ARE NOT SINLESS (SINNERS), FAITHFULLY SAVED WITHOUT OR VOID OF WORKS AND MANY OTHER BOASTINGS WHICH SEPARATES THEM FROM THE LATTER WHO WORKS FOR THE HONOR AND GLORY OF THE ONE WHO SENT THEM.

Jude 1:19 These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

WHO TEACHES OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S COMMANDS?

WHO TEACHES DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD’S LAWS AND COMMANDS?

Ephesians 2:1-2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are DISOBEDIENT.

Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are DISOBEDIENT.

Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but BY THEIR ACTIONS THEY DENY HIM. They are detestable, DISOBEDIENT and unfit for doing anything good.

2 Corinthians 10:6 And we will be ready to PUNISH EVERY ACT OF DISOBEDIENCE, once your OBEDIENCE IS COMPLETE.

LET’ NO ONE DECEIVE YOU!!!

1 John 4:1 Test the Spirits Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

John 7:17-18 If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

THIS IS WHAT JESUS SAID…

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 19:17,25-26 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS.”

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?”

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but WITH God all things are possible.”
