There is but one gospel that saves a man and it goes like this...

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE......the rest are false gospels with no power and all, regardless of color, creed, name, status etc. that leave this world without believing the one true gospel and acknowledging Jesus by faith will learn the meaning of snap, crackle and pop
Do the people in Matthew 7 and Hebrews 6 believe only and have no works and are saved? No. It says because they have no works that they will be rejected. And all agree here that saved people will have works. So how can you say that these people will be saved with no works?

So I should keep being patient, long suffering, kind, gentle, and peaceable, the things I couldn't do before I was saved, so that I'll get tired and cry out for God to make me patient, long suffering, kind, gentle, and peaceable?
This is the striving, yes, but it's not the way Jesus would have you be. You speak of having the baptism of Holy Spirit. This is the refreshing. This is the rest. So speak in your language, get charged up or empowered within. I think you may have situations in your life that you aren't pleased with, so you are trying by these things to make yourself better.

We have righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Love is within us for its said to be shed abroad in our hearts in by the Holy Spirit that is given.

All things are given to us for godliness when given Holy Spirit. And the new birth is just that. Your natural man died with Jesus, and you have been raised up in His resurrection life. Believe it. Speak it. And rest in who and what you are. Spirit, no longer flesh. He did this all for us.

Rule over those things that would oppress by sitting down with Him in His Victory over sin and.....death.

Learn what these things mean.

Everyone on both sides has been saying saved people WILL have works.
I haven’t.

How is it now that the person with no works is a saved person?
Because we are not saved by works.

If you interpret this passage as meaning you don't have to have works with your faith to be saved when Jesus comes back
That’s what it says, right?

then you make this part of the the Bible contradict Hebrews 6, Matthew 18, Romans 8, and Matthew 7. All those parts say the person who doesn't have works won't be saved.
Matthew concerns the time before Pentecost, before the Christian new birth became available. I don’t see where Heb 6 or Rom 8 say that a person must have works to be saved. And believing a person must have good works to be saved contradicts the scriptures given in my previous post.

Salvation is a gift, given when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Rewards are earned, and can be lost. Rewards matter a great deal more than most Christians realize. But every Christian (person born again of the Holy Spirit) will be saved, whether he has works or not.

Yep....Fran could not get over Matthew 7 and the root being biblical salvation.....the one's cast which are plenteous in number, claimed to know JESUS and put their trust into the works done in his name........WORKS DO NOT SAVE OR KEEP SAVED.....end of story!
The people in Matthew 7 were lawless. They did not have works of obedience. They had service, but they were not obedient. It's kind of like what we see in the church today. People serving in the church, tithing (giving), faithful in church attendance, getting involved in ministry, even witnessing, but they are not obedient. They are not kind, they are not forgiving, they are not pure, they are greedy, lustful, lovers of the world. Christ will turn them away when he comes. They do not know Him, and he does not know them. If they did know Him, and He knew them, they'd be kind, patient, loving, peaceable people. No sacrifice of service, no praise of his Name will ever make up for faithless disobedience. Saving faith obeys. That's what your side has been saying too, but then also saying you don't have to obey to be saved. That's a contradiction.

His works alone save. Ours will forever be filthy, unless we are doing His works by His empowering. Until then, we just spin our wheels in the circle of natural man.

You must be dense.....ALL genuine believers have WORKED THE WORKS OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER IN BELIEF........and beyond that answer this.....What works or type of works do the following saved have...

a. The Corinthian fornicator
b. Those whose works are wood, hay and stubble
c. The thief on the cross
d. The prodigal

You can forget it.....the bible is clear....WHAT PART OF THE FOLLOWING DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ..

NOT BY WORKS OF RKGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HAS HE SAVED US... <--- past tense salvation not based upon works

Plus, you are looking at people and judging lives. Looking at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We don't know what's going on in hearts unless it's revealed. If it's revealed, it's for the purpose of ministering the person. otherwise it's just our minds suspicious nature. We put that to death that we might hear His Voice clearly.

You're right. You do not understand what I'm saying.

In Matthew 7, Jesus talks about the people he will turn away because they were lawless. That means you have to be obedient or else He will turn you away when He comes back. That doesn't mean your obedient works will earn his acceptance. Your obedient works show that you have the faith that justifies all by itself apart from works. So as you can see, this has nothing to do with works saving you. People who have faith have works and are saved. People who don't have works don't have faith and are not saved.

When a Christian get saved, he/she will want to do good works. It's a given, but works without salvation first won't get you to heaven.

You are confusing what "they" say wiuth why He says to get away:

Mat 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me; Master! Master! will enter into the Kingdom of YHWH, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day; Master! Master! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works? But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practiceiniquity.”

practice” is word #G2038 Strong's Concordance - ergazomai: I work, trade, do, Original Word: ἐργάζομαι, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: ergazomai, Phonetic Spelling: (er-gad'-zom-ahee), Short Definition: I work, trade, do, Definition: I work, trade, perform, do, practice, commit, acquire by labor.

iniquity” is word #G458 Strong's Concordance - anomia, lawlessness, Short Definition: lawlessness, iniquity, Definition: lawlessness, iniquity, disobedience, sin

they claim to have works. He says get away beaucse they PRACTICE iniquity. Iniquity in Lawlessness. I suppose this is where you will tell me following the Law is actually Lawless and not following it is not Lawlessness.

Thats the carnal mind.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

But, we have the mind of Christ. No longer rebellious, for we are of another nature. Freed from iniquity.

Thats what dcontroversal said.

Look Pharisee....I am not confusing anything..the facts are clear...he never knew them...they were never saved and their view was they should be allowed to enter based upon their works in his name...their problem was where they put their trust which = not saved which = being found in sin and lawless....wake up lawyer!

Wonderful name calling. But you ignored what Yahshua/Jesus said they practiced.

but the pharisee types actually did not teach YHWH's Law:

Mark 7:1-9, “And the Pharisees and some of the scribes assembled to Him, having come from Yerushalayim. And seeing some of His taught ones eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees, and all the Yehuḏim, do not eat unless they wash their hands thoroughly, holding fast the tradition of the elders, and coming from the market-place, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions which they have received and hold fast – the washing of cups and utensils and copper vessels and couches. Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your taught ones not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? And He answering, said to them, “Well did Yeshayahu prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrinethe commands of men.’ Forsaking the command of YHWH, you hold fast the tradition of men. And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the command of YHWH, in order to guard your tradition."

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

It is called a title....and it fits you well....and my post is valid.....NOT SAVED = In sin and lawless......their trust was in works done in the NAME OF JESUS...wake up...most religions that NAME JESUS push a WORKS IN HIS NAME FOR SALVATION....it is not that hard to understand....and to be honest...you exhibit the same mentality of the Pharisees of Jesus' day......blinded by a strict adherance to the law over what Jesus, Paul, John etc. taught about GRACE superceeding LAW
