To me carnal means self. If is when you put self over others/ Jesus never did this,. Time and time again, even when his disciples urged him to He refused.
Right, carnal brings mental imagery.

Scripturally, to be carnally minded is death, Romans 8:6. It is to be walking in sin.

To say Christ had a carnal mind is at best sacrilege.

Once again, just my own personal thought. I DID NOT SAY HE DID LUST.. Though even if He did, He wouldn't and couldn't have acted on it.. I could say the sky is green, doesn't make it true.. lol
That is why I said, you need to get it straight in your mind that Jesus did NOT do the things you think He did, and would bet He did.

19:11 is certainly good, but i believe the really appropriate proverb for this whole tangent is this one:

Proverbs 14:4
Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; But much increase is by the strength of the ox.

Which, being paraphrased, says that in order to enjoy the benefits of a bull's strength, it's inevitable that you will have to accept the presence of some bull sh**
LOL!!! Thanks bro! :D

For the record i think Blue has a point, just that the right way to phrase it hasn't been easy to find. And i don't really want to get into it, further than that. :)

Yeah okay.. Just let it go, M... :)
You've been way off track, have made egregious errors with things said in haste and ad lib, and have made absurd unbiblical conclusions. But all this is due to your "not knowing" so I understand.

Please study or get under some who do and are sound in doctrine.

I never went to vacation bible school either. Must have been someone else who discussed their background with you..

And yes, I do have a different view of Jesus. I see His human side, as well as the divine.. :)

Thats what I meant. I knew you didn't. Most of us I'm sure did, and there is where our first impression of Jesus is formed.

Just read, asking Him to reveal Himself to you. And He will.

Don't go to bed down on yourself blue.

Please read and talk to Him. We all jumped on you and that's wrong. He's never angry for what we were taught in the past. So if we are deficient, and we all are, we seek Him. He will always come to us and build us up.

You certainly do have your view of Jesus, and it isn't biblical. You've been instructed to study, and read, and get under some who are sound in doctrine. Please do. It's apparent you are missing all of this, study, and instruction.

Yes, to both you and M, I get the point. I just tried to show another side of Jesus: His human side, the side that could relate to our own thoughts, emotions and temptations. Like Posthuman said, it didn't get phrased very well.. lol

How about, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts? :)

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize
with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been
tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin.
*
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted,
he is able to help those who are being tempted.

If it was not blue, would you be so nice?
At what point does one say enough is enough?

I know some people, who expecting too much of is just never going to happen.
I met someone who believed in praying with people who had dementia, and others
with who were clearly not all there. I whole heartedly support showing love and praying
for and with everyone, but some objectives are clearly beyond the gift of some, not
saying this is a point in question here, but just an observation of the difficulties of identifying
and loving people where they are.

Praise the Lord we are under His grace and perfect will, Amen.

And no one answered, either. That's okay, I'm capable of reading the bible myself. In fact, I'm in Psalms right now..:)

blue i believe it was earlier today i saw you looking for a prayer partner...

i thought that was the cutest thing ive heard in awhile and know you want to grow (as we all should because all of us have need for it)

i sent you a pm

and i think this understanding you have comes from building on an issue of semantics

I did not jump on Blue. Whether or not Jesus sinned is a pretty important issue. A Christian saying they bet Jesus did things that are sin is an error of immeasurable magnitude, destroying the gospel message, and needs correction.

Hello,

I always love when you all come back! (not really but anyhow) It is always right back into this thread that you all come which is always a dead give away.

Welcome back, you remind me of PeterJens, as he wrote in the exact style you are writing. Wonder why that is?

Who is this person you are writing about? Please tell me more.
I would like to meet him if you have nice things to say. Can you make an introduction?
