Make no mistake....I am spot on with salvation....you on the other hand are playing a pair of twos against a Royal Flush......and your cafe blend false gospel of works will not win the pot....ever!

Go read the rest of what Paul wrote under inspiration and then get your head out of da sand....
...

WHY CAN’T YOU REFUTE OR JUST ENLIGHTEN EVERYONE YOU DISAGREE WITH INSTEAD OF MAKING INAPPROPRIATE REMARKS. IF WHAT YOU’RE SAYING IS TRUE THAT YOU HAVE A GENUINE SAVING FAITH THEN WHY NOT BELIEVE THAT IT IS GOD WHO MAKES THE SEED GROW AND STOP DIVIDING THE CHURCH AND MAKE ROOM FOR EDIFICATION.

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

Romans 14:19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to MUTUAL EDIFICATION.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But DO IT WITH GENTLENESS AND RESPECT.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Luke 6:43-45 A Tree and Its Fruit “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Romans 3:3-4 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”

So will you please tell me what works I MUST do to stop Jesus from throwing me into hell when he returns! Because I'm scared.
It's about the fruit of the Spirit. Those who walk in the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, compassion, forgiveness, self control, etc.) don't have to fear the return of Jesus because in this life they act like Him.

"Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."-1 John 4:16-18

As we can see, John is saying that the assurance that you have the security of salvation and ready to face Christ when He returns comes from walking according to the fruit of the Spirit. Be gentle, kind, and patient, self controlled, etc., in all of life's situations as they come up and you will have the assurance that you are ready to face the Master who will call everyone to account for what they did with the talent(s) of knowledge he gave them-Matthew 25:14-30. The fruit of the Spirit is the increase on the talent of knowledge that Christ has given you and I.

Quitting smoking isn't a WORK surely?
Self control is a fruit of the Spirit.
(But first settle the matter of if smoking is really a sin or not.)

Stopping fornication and boozing isn't a work.
Being considerate of people by not hurting them by doing these things is a work of the Spirit in a person.

Do I have to go to Sudan and preach the gospel to the militants there? Or do I have to find some vagrants and feed them?
No.
For now, just be patient when the 80 year old woman checking out ahead of you wants to write a check to pay for her groceries, or be considerate of your spouse and children, don't be selfish. It's all about acting out the fruit of the Spirit-Galatians 5:22-23 and suppressing and putting to death the deeds of the flesh-Galatians 5:19-21. The two can not co-exist. Either you're walking in the fruit of the Spirit or you're walking in the flesh.

What WORK shall I DO to stop your Jesus from throwing me into the pit with the devil?
The key is, don't focus on the 'DO', focus on the 'BEING'. Be patient, be considerate, be gentle, don't be overbearing, don't be cruel, don't be hurtful, don't be hateful. Ask God to produce this inside of you and when you feel it rise up inside of you ACT ON IT. Don't quench the Spirit moving you to act out the works of the Spirit.

Revelation 1:1-3, “Revelation of יהושע Messiah, which יהוה gave Him to show His servants what has to take place with speed. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and guard what is written in it, for the time is near.”

Are these passages true?

They are from the final written message to humankind:

Revelation 22:11-15, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart. And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood.”

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the Commands of יהוה and possessing the Witness of יהושעMessiah."

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Paul and Silas expounded upon what they meant. According to Paul, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is believing Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again.

Faith comes after salvation. It involves pleasing the Lord through the works of your life, aka obedience. Obedience to the faith leads to the perfecting of the saints, not salvation. The believer is already saved.

I see this as "saved or born again" in modern verbage:

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

and this are truly born again/recieved salvation:

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, “Death is swallowed up in overcoming. O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?”

Mat 24:29-31, “And immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

that is why it is said:

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him."

I thnk this sums it up well:

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and letting My words; abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done for you. In this is My Father glorified: when you produce much fruit; and in this way you become My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My Commands, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's Commands, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be complete. This is My Command: Love one another as I have loved you. You're posting Jewish passages in Matthew, James and Hebrews applicable for the Jews in the tribulation where they must endure to the end to be saved through the tribulation into the millennial kingdom of Christ. Go to Paul's letters to receive instruction for the Church, the body of Christ.

Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Paul and Silas expounded upon what they meant. According to Paul, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is believing Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again.
SO i guess its a religion about Jesus rather than the religion of Yahshua/Jesus.

I will take the teaching He Himself taught.

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

*Mosheh wrote:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

"listen" is word #8085 -

Acts 16
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Believe, believe, believe
Not to be rude or anything, but why do you keep harping on this word?

I am from the Bible Belt...so you can ask just about anyone here if they believe that Jesus is real and that he died for their sins and they will say, yes...Some will say that they believe, but they will also tell you that they are not and do not want to be saved (put their faith in Jesus and accept him in to their lives) right now.

So are you saying that they are saved anyhow, even if they do not want to be, just because that they believe that he is real and that he died for sins.

Because, a gospel that includes a FAITH plus WORKS, is a false GOSPEL.

2 Corinthians 11:4 (HCSB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!

Galatians 1:6-9 (HCSB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ ⌊and are turning⌋ to a different gospel—
[SUP]7 [/SUP] not that there is another ⌊gospel⌋, but there are some who are troubling you and want to change the good news about the Messiah.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than what we have preached to you, a curse be on him!
[SUP]9 [/SUP] As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (HCSB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—
[SUP]9 [/SUP] not from works, so that no one can boast.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Why do you even respond....almost everyone disregards your posts....and you think CC is a church.....? <--Proves how much you are missing the mark....wake up to the truth....those who push false dogma will never be coddled by me......ever!

We go round and round in circles because these statements are not specific enough. Are you talking about the moment of justification, or are you talking about at the return of Christ?

Justification is entirely on the basis of faith in God's forgiveness apart from works.

At the return of Christ if your faith is alone, having no works, no change of life attached, you will be showing yourself to not be justified in Christ and you will not be saved.

And it doesn't matter if you were never justified to begin with, or you had it and lost it. Either way your empty, fruitless life will testify against you at Christ's coming and you will go to the left with the goats into the eternal fire-Matthew 25:41. Faith that is alone can not save-James 2:14. Barren fields are, in the end, burned up, not harvested-Hebrews 6:8. Works accompany salvation-Hebrews 6:9.

James 2:19-20, “You believe that Yah is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! But do you wish to know, O empty man, that the belief without the works is dead?”

believe” is word #G4100 - pisteuó: to believe, entrust, Original Word: πιστεύω, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: pisteuó, Phonetic Spelling: (pist-yoo'-o), Short Definition: I believe, have faith in, Definition: I believe, have faith in, trust in; pass: I am entrusted with.
The word "believe" can describe mere "mental assent belief," as in James 2:19, or also include "trust and reliance in Christ for salvation," as in Acts 16:31.

In James 2:19, we see that the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God" but they do not believe/entrust their spiritual well being to Christ; have faith/reliance upon Christ for salvation. In other words, they do not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31) and are not saved.

Their trust and reliance is in Satan, as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.
