As I have said a few times,

I can believe in something, and not have faith in something (mental agreement with no trust)

I can not have faiht in something without first believing.

Belief is the first step in faith. You do not just go from unbelief to faith, there is a time God works on us to get us to go from unbelief, to understanding to believing to actual faith.

I am saved by faith, I am not saved by mental agreement..

Loved, saved, acceptable and earn salvation?

In Jesus and Jesus in us we are kids of the Father.

Interpre the word together, and you will know only the first example of the word belief (faith) fits

Now your being legalistic. You do not have to prove your faith. Your faith will prove itself.

A person who just believes will have no work

A person who has faith (assurance, trust) will have work.

There is no MUST about it, A person who has faith WILL have works. Period.

Paul said we are saved by grace through the means of faith

Paul also said abraham was made righteous because he had faith (belief)

What's the difference to you?
To me if I'm saved by faith then the evidence will follow.
That's the reality, yet I do acknowledge each person will bear fruit but at different rates.

Yes we are justified by faith alone.

Do you not think that if we are justified by the faith of Jesus then we have to believe in Jesus to be justified?

Hi all...Lets all speak in truth...Lets all walk in His Light...There is only ONE way...The NARROW way is hard, not easy...It is full of bumps, stones on the ground, but praise God He smooths our path IF we walk in His ways...
For we have been saved by God`s GRACE alone, nothing more, nothing less...
Technology can be the playground for the deceiver to draw us in, but God`s Light will always shine over this darkness...

Yes I used AMP, because some need the help to understand...Now after this understanding, we ALL know that works follow, we are children of God...Those who do not know need to know that works do not save us, surely we all know this, but when Jesus comes back, if someone is sitting on their couch stuffing popcorn and being idol, will He know them, for Jesus said He will know us by our fruits...
We can all debate, but at the end of the the day, if one is not walking on the skinny narrow path, then one has to ask oneself and check if they are in the faith, are you saved...xox...[/FONT]

Just so you know I'm not trying to trip you up. I did read the verse you quoted and I found it, if memory serves me in YLT.
So a few pages back I asked questions concerning this and I can't recall any replies.

Can I ask you what do you think is the faith that Jesus had? I understand his obedience.

But your thoughts on his faith?

But then there can be different kinds of "believing" in the NT: that is - the Greek word pisteuo does not always mean the same thing. When the devils "believe and tremble" - this is not a saving believing!
