I believe that's a play on words.

Ephesians 2:9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works less any man should boast.
I know. I just didn't understand the purpose.

Perhaps to lighten the mood?

"My approach to what other people believe is to listen to them, Figure out if I was wrong about what they believe. Then correct my thinking about what they believe. And even after this, If I still misrepresent them in any means. Be humble enough to admit you made a mistake. Then move on. If you disagree with them, then you are open to discussing why you disagree with them.

To continually bash them and lie about what they believe, And continue to excuse yourself for doing it. Is just plain unchristlike, foolish, and wrong.

If we want to discuss you view on a particular subject (like says dispensationalsim) then says, This is my view of it. Then lets discuss your view of it.

But for once in your time on CC, can you please stop slandering a group of people who do not believe what you claim they do? Is this to hard for you to comprehend?"

Again you have missed my point and approach. I am not addressing your approach,
which I do not know. I do know what some dispensationalists have said, and if you
read the article I linked to, it goes through many variations of this.

Your accusation was I was wrong, and I think you will find I am not.
Now if I am not wrong, and you say I am lying, why do you continually want to
act as if you have the moral high ground? Because maybe it does not actually
matter to you, as long as your feelings are vented, wrong or right. :(

Grace and peace to you, I hope you find a place of rest.
You might consider "quoting" "who you are talking to".

"But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
James 4:6

"Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished."
Proverbs 16:5

It's extremely hard because you can easily let your flesh get in the way, especially when dealing with other people, but I have to imagine Jesus told the parable about the Pharisee and the publican for this reason. When we get on our high horse, we're going to take a tumble, it's just a matter of when. True strength I believe comes to those who are humble in the heart and not seared in their conscience and heart to be so puffed up with pride that the stench of arrogance is overwhelming.

oh and by the way, No dispensationalsim person I have ever met would say the sermon on the mount does not apply to us today.
Greeting eternally-gratefull,

As a self declared dispensationalist, are you called to obey the sermon on the mount or ignore it?
Do you take joy in the words of Jesus or does it fill you with condemnation?

Jesus said we are wise if we listen and obey His words, and will stand against the storms of life.
Is this your testimony or have you a different insight that you can share?

1. Your wrong
2. Your article was wrong (I went to the article. And he claimed people who hold to the dispensationalsim view do not regard the sermon on the mount as applicable to us
3. I told you you were wrong, I told you THEY were wrong, I told you if any people do hold to that view. They are in a minority (if I did not, forgive me, I meant to) and should nbot be used to try to discuss dispensationalsim views.

If your approach is to lie and slander other people (It has been for ALONG TIME NOW and people are getting sick of it) then you need to change your approach.

Can you find it in you to humble yourself and admit you made a mistake?

Oh wait, thats right, you cant if you do, you would have to admit you sinned.

so, do you perfectly keep the standards that Christ set fourth in the Sermon on the Mount. every hour of every day? if not ( you don't , no one does), then that qualifies you as sinner. simple right?

Remember, this person has known me for awhile. And responded to posted where I have answered these questions. But here he asked. I guess at east I give him credit.

1. No dispensationalsim person I ever met (and I have met many in many churches all over the United States and in chat rooms) have every believed the sermon on the mount does not apply to us
2. Why would Gods words fill me with condemnation? I am saved, completely washed by the blood of the lamb, Adopted as a child’s of God, (I can go to God and call him daddy (abba Father) and he lets me in) I have past from death to life, I have been redeemed by the blood. I have been given EVERY spiritual blessing in heaven, I have been sealed by his spirit. I have been given his rest, his hope and his life. What is there for me to be scared about? The only reason I would need ot be scared is if I was under law. (That is unless I watered the law down, and think I am sinless)
3. Yes, if we are wise, we will listen his words, But we will not just listen to them, We will chew on them, Gnawl on them (john 6) gets to know what he means by those words. Not just overlook them and think we know what they mean, so we are ready to use them in our life. Truth and love Go hand in hand, I can not love unless I have experienced the love of God, and I can not have truth unless I study to show myself aproved.

You might consider "quoting" "who you are talking to".
Hi joefizz,

I do not know if you have yet seen, but there are people representing many different
theological positions among the members here, from sda, calvanists, armenians, charismatics,
non-charisamatics, NAR, baptist, catholic, anglican, methodist, reincarnation followers, legalists,
hebrew-roots, trinitarians, liberals, free grace and many others.

So a subject, or even a topic in a few lines can only be superficially gone over. And those who
agree may actually be at polar opposites, but share a common view on one point.

So the best I can do, is in summary put a label, and say this is my view, here is the scripture,
this group of belief oppose it. Once it gets personal, it goes wrong, because often there is
too little detail and too much bad feeling. This is why when I am called a liar for a few
scripture quotes etc. it makes me laugh. It is why so many miss Jesus altogether while
having the words, but not the heart. It is always the heart first, followed by the words
that come from a good heart. I am learning, in Gods grace, how to walk.

Grace and peace to you
